"Do you think he'll mind?" Tru whispered in the darkness, packing the last of her things into her bag.
Airlia shrugged, then realised her sister couldn't see it. "Not sure, but I'm not really one for goodbyes."
"Especially seeing as we're never sure if we'll get to see them again," Tru pointed out. "What with all the trouble we manage to get into."
Airlia zipped her bag slowly, trying not to wake the rest of the household with the noise. "We've been here for a month too, I'm starting to get antsy."
"Same." Tru nodded her agreement and lifted her bag onto her back.
Airlia hopped off the bed and with one hand grabbed her bag, and with the other, plucked the note from the nightstand. She indicated for Tru to follow her and the pair crept downstairs.
"I'll wait in the car," Tru said, lifting Airlia's car keys carefully from the table. She opened the door as quietly as possible and ran down the front stairs, headed for the corner on which the car was parked.
Airlia carefully set the note down on the kitchen bench, then followed her sister out.
Once at the car, she slid into the drivers seat and they were off.
