Into The Swing

Written by Nessa and Michelle

OOC: It's too hard to go back and do an eviction post every Sunday, so it's been... like 2 evictions, and I'll say... Kiara left first, then Karen, and the housemates up this week are... Tim, David, Krystal, Skye and Dale.

Housemates

"Another Sunday," Jake commented to Elle, heading straight for the fridge.

"Yep," Elle said, sipping at her coffee. "Who do you think is going?"

"Can't predict it, hey?" he replied. "It'll be a big one though, there's 5 people up. Crazy."

Krystal came through the bedroom doors, into the kitchen, stretching and yawning. "Morning guys."

"Hey," Elle greeted. "How are you feeling?"

"It's weird that this could be my last day," Krystal answered sleepily, sitting down on a stool next to the other girl.

"I don't want you to gooooo," Elle whined. "They can't split us up!"

Ebony and Keahi

"Good morning," Ebony said cheerfully as she and Keahi stepped into the kitchen.

Ebony was finally starting to get more comfortable with the other housemates (and never ceased to be amazed that she wasn't being put up for eviction every week). Thus her stomach was no longer doing jumping jacks every time she said 'hello'.

"Mmm Coffee..." Keahi said happily, making a beeline for the coffee pot.

Housemates

Elle barely looked up at the new arrivals, she was too busy hugging Krystal.

"I hope we get alcohol or kero or whatever tonight," Dale commented, re-entering the house after his morning swim.

"Same," Skye put in. "Unless I get booted, but in which case, I'm going to drink up on the outside anyway."

"Reckon we'll get our new task?" Scotte asked, pushing through the bedroom doors.

"Probably on Monday," Jake replied. "I mean, we only just passed the last one yesterday. I think Monday is task getting day."

Krystal took her coffee over to the couch with Elle and the two girls sat down, gossiping about whatever there was to talk about in the house... so, the other housemates, basically.

Keahi and Ebony

"Mmm," Keahi sighed happily, sipping her coffee.

"So, what do you guys want to do today then?" Ebony asked.

Housemates

"Pack, relax, sunbake," Krystal said, rubbing sleep from her eye.

"Yeah, I'm down," Dale said, plopping down onto the couch with his breakfast. "I just want a lazy day today."

"Hopefully we get one," David said, indicating to the diary room. "You know we always get a task when we just want to be lazy."

"But Monday is task day," Elle pointed out. "It wouldn't be good to give us one today, especially when someone is leaving tonight."

"Maybe it'll be a double," Skye mused. "We're about due for a double."

Ebony and Keahi

"Well, I think I might go into the spa this morning," Keahi said. "If we get a task, we get a task. If we don't, we don't."

"I'll join you," Ebony said. "Anyone else?"

Housemates

"Pass," Skye said, flicking her hair off her shoulder. She turned and grinned at Elle, who laughed and took a sip of her coffee.

"I might have one later," Jake said, focusing intently on his breakfast. "I'm feeling a bit lazy to go change at the moment."

Ebony and Keahi

"Oh, I didn't mean right now," Keahi said. "Coffee first."

Ebony giggled.

"You and your coffee."

"Coffee is my friend."

Housemates

"Hope the weather stays nice for tonight," Elle commented.

"Yeah, I want to wear a dress," Skye chimed in.

"Sometimes the lack of music gets to me, hey?" Jake said, leaning back against the kitchen counter.

Ebony

"We can always make our own music," Ebony giggled. "Oooh, lets start a band."

"Karaoke without the karaoke machine?" Dale joked.

Housemates

Elle and Skye used this as an opportunity to leave the room, headed for the bathroom.

"This is Big Brother... the hot water, is now on."

"Oh yeah, what timing!" Elle high fived Skye.

Krystal stretched out then stood. "I may as well have a shower."

"Good plan, good plan," Jake said, draining the rest of his coffee. "I'm gonna wake myself up with a morning dip first, then shower."

Ebony and Keahi

After eating breakfast, Ebony and Keahi made their way out to the spa.

"No point in showering if you're just going to get wet anyway," Ebony giggled.

"Exactly," Keahi agreed.

Housemates

"I really can't stand Ebony, hey?" Skye said, stepping under the spray from the shower. "I really want her gone."

Elle nodded, running a hand through her long hair. "I don't really talk to her much."

~*~*~*~

"Spa nice?" Jake called to the girls, using his arms to lift himself from the pool.

Ebony and Keahi

"Yep," Keahi replied.

"Gonna join us?" Ebony asked.

"Plenty of room."

Housemates

"Nah, I think I'm gonna have a shower and hang out inside for a bit," Jake called back.

"I'm going to sunbake today, I think. But first, I'm going to do my washing," Krystal said, emerging from the bathroom still dressed in the bikini she'd showered in.

"Oh wait for me to have a shower, then I'll do mine with you," Jake said to her, touching her arm as he passed.

"Coolo," she replied. She headed over to the spa to talk to the other two girls.

Ebony and Keahi

"Hi Krystal," Keahi said cheerfully. "Gonna come join us?"

Ebony giggled.

"We're going to turn ourselves into prunes today."

Housemates

"Maybe a bit later," Krystal said, sitting so her legs were in the spa. "I'm gonna do my washing then sunbake for a bit."

She moved her hair from her eyes.

"I hate Sundays, coz we're gonna lose someone tonight."

Keahi and Ebony

"Yeah, that totally sucks," Keahi said. "I don't want to lose anyone."

"But I suppose we all knew that losing people was going to be a part of this when we signed up for it," Ebony said resignly.

"That's right, go ahead and be the voice of reason," Keahi said, splashing some water at Ebony.

Ebony giggled.

"Well, even this 'voice of reason' hates Sundays too, for the same reason."

Housemates

Krystal looked almost relieved when Jake came over to see if she was ready to do the washing.

"I haven't done mine in a week," Krystal commented, hopping up to go retrieve her clothes.

"I think it's been a week and a half for me," Jake called her to, laughing slightly. He walked over to the "laundry" area and put his clothes into the basin.

"How's the spa?" he asked the girls.

Ebony and Keahi

"Nice and bubbly warm," Keahi replied. "Like coffee with bubbles. Or hot champagne. Or -"

"I don't think I'd like to immerse myself in either option," Ebony giggled.

Keahi paused.

"But... analogy... good."

Housemates

Jake nodded as an answer, then set to work with his washing, as Krystal came back out, holding a pile of clothes.

"Hope we get some rain soon," Krystal commented, squinting up at the bright sky. "We desperately need it right now."

Housemates - Michelle

"Cannonball!" Dale said, running towards the spa.

He stopped short just a foot away from the spa and stepped in like a normal person. The girls stared at him.

"What?"

"Dork," Keahi said.

Ebony giggled.

Housemates

Jake and Krystal were hard at work washing their clothes, passing comments back and forth to each other about missing their washing machines.

Elle sauntered out of the house, freshly showered, hair wet and slicked back into a bun, sunglasses perched on her nose. In her hand was a bottle of water.

"Shower good?" Dale called.

"Yeah, I always feel so much more awake," Elle replied, settling down in the shade. "Spa good?"

Ebony and Keahi

"Marvellous," Ebony replied.

Keahi held her hand up in front of her face and inspected it.

"Nope. Not even a little pruny yet."

"Ahh, a nice slack day today," Ebony sighed. "And then tomorrow we'll be one person short again."

Housemates

"We'll be one short tonight," Elle corrected. "And tomorrow, we start all over again."

"Ugh, Mondays," Dale said, wrinkling his face up. "I'm not sure which I dread more, hey? Losing someone, or having to nominate."

"It's pretty hard... unless you've got a major grudge against two people, then it's probably easy," Elle offered. "But we should stop this conversation before we get close to breaking rules."

"Good idea."

Ebony and Keahi

"Agreed," Ebony said. "So... what shall we talk about instead?"

"Let's make a list. Top ten best beverages in the world. I vote coffee for the number one place," Keahi said.

"Is coffee all you can think about?"

Keahi paused.

"I like surfing. But there is no surf here. There is coffee though."

"True. I vote... umm... Solo."

Housemates

"Oh man, a really chocolatey mocha," Elle said, almost groaning. "I could really go one now."

"Or an iced chocolate," Dale added. "Or a nice cold beer. A good beer though."

Keahi and Ebony

"Chocolate mocha," Keahi sighed. "Man... now I want one too."

"How about a kerosene cocktail?" Ebony suggested. "One with umbrellas in it."

Housemates

"I hope we get some booze tonight," Jake said, vigorously scrubbing his clothes in the sink.

"Same, it'll ease the depression," Elle joked.

Ebony and Keahi

"I think it'll be very interesting to see how people around here act when they're plastered off their face," Ebony observed. "I won't be drinking."

"Why? What are you like?" Keahi asked.

Ebony shrugged.

"I tend to stay invisible, and if I'm really bad, I walk around and bump into people all the time. But if I make myself completely invisible here, I'll violate the rules and get myself thrown out, so yeah... no drinking. At least, not very much, if at all."

Housemates

"We've had drinks in there before though, remember when Dave threw up from it all?" Jake reminded them.

"That was hilarious... although, probably not for him," Elle giggled.

Ebony and Keahi

"This is true," Ebony said.

"Oooh, if we get some... we should play some drinking games," Keahi suggested.

Housemates

"Definitely," Jake agreed. "We need some excitement."

Krystal nodded. "Totally. We're starting to kinda get into a routine, hey?"

Ebony and Keahi

"Yeah," Ebony nodded. "We need to break up the monotomy a bit."

"I absolutely agree," said Keahi.
