"Hey Ash, are you ready to go?" Taylor called out as he walked down the aisle.
"Just about. We have plenty of time," came Ashley's voice from the front of the church as he set up another camera.
Taylor started fiddling with his hands nervously.
"People are going to start arriving soon," he added.
"I know," Ashley's voice came again, more disgruntled.
Natalie
Natalie stared in the mirror.
"Aww," Haley said. "You look beautiful."
Natalie turned to smile.
"Thanks," she said, and appraised her, "you look so sexy in that dress."
Haley grinned.
"We all look sexy," Emma said. "Except you. You look sexy and beautiful. Which is good, because we shouldn't outshine the bride."
Natalie chuckled.
Taylor & Ash G
"Hey Tay!"
Taylor turned at the sound of his name.
"Hey Jonny," he smiled, walking back down the aisle to the front door to shake his hand.
"Glad you could come."
"Wouldn't miss it. Expecting many people?"
"Not too many. Relatives included, around fifty in all."
"Small," Jonny nodded, "hey Ike!"
Taylor watched as he walked off toward his brothers before sticking his head out the door to see if anyone else was coming.
Isaac and Zac
"Hey Jonny," Isaac nodded back.
Zac looked between them.
"Hey," he said, folding his arms across his chest and nodding.
"Dork," Isaac said.
Zac chuckled.
Taylor
It wasn't long before people began filing in. Taylor stood at the door to greet each of them, every now and then passing Ashley nervous glances as if to make sure he was doing his job.
When almost everyone was seated, he made his way back up to the front.
Natalie, Isaac and Zac
"Well," said Mrs Bryant. "The driver's just arrived. You girls ready to go yet?"
"Yep," Emma replied, except she was checking her hair in the mirror again.
Lauren and Haley looked at each other and giggled.
Natalie took a deep breath and smiled at her mother.
"We're ready," she said.
**********
"Welcome back to the front of the church," Zac teased. "With any luck, you won't see the back of the church again until after Natalie arrives."
"Hey, Isaac," said Matt. "You got the rings?"
"Yep."
"Haven't lost them, yet, huh?"
"Nope."
"Oh well, there's still time."
Isaac laughed.
Taylor
"Don't do that," Taylor almost hissed.
"Seriously. Not funny."
Zac, Isaac and Natalie
"I thought it was," Zac grinned.
"Yeah, same," Isaac agreed.
"You should see the look on your face," Matt added.
The three had been getting along so well...
**********
Natalie, her bridesmaids, Zoe, Mrs Bryant and Diana piled into the two cars waiting for them. Their drive down to the church commenced. Natalie felt a pit of nervousness and excitement well up in her.
"Just think," Lauren said. "This time tomorrow, you're going to be Mrs Taylor Hanson."
"Yeah, and not just pretend either," Haley teased.
"I was never the one who wrote 'Mrs Taylor Hanson' all over my school books, thank you," Natalie reproached.
"No," Emma replied. "But I wrote 'Mrs Isaac Hanson' on mine..."
"We know," Lauren grinned. "Maybe I should tell -"
"Don't you dare!"
Taylor
"Don't. Start," Taylor said between his teeth.
He looked around for a moment.
"Where's Mac?" he frowned, "Is he outside? Maybe I should check..."
Isaac and Zac
"Relax, oh panicking one," Isaac said. "He had to go to the bathroom."
"I mean, we could have made him stay here," Zac teased. "But then he might have embarrassed himself in front of everyone. Now, wouldn't that be a wedding highlight? Hmm?"
"Plus, it would smell," Matt added. "I don't think we would have wanted to deal with a smelly page boy."
Taylor
Taylor shifted uneasily.
"What's the time?" he turned to Isaac, ignoring the chuckles from first row.
Isaac, Zac and Natalie
Isaac check his watch.
"Five to," he said. "But just remember, Tay, the bride is expected to be fashionably late."
"Right," Zac agreed. "So, if she still isn't here in an hour, she hasn't stood you up, she's just fashionably late."
Matt chuckled and Mackie rejoined them.
"What's funny?" he asked.
"Nothing Mackie," Isaac replied. "We're just teasing Tay."
"That's funny."
"True."
**********
Soon, the cars pulled up outside the church, and the girls zipped in.
"Okay girls, ready?" asked Diana.
"As we'll ever be," Natalie replied.
"Okay, I'll just get the music started."
She slipped into the entrance to let them know to start the music.
Zoe
Zoe nodded at her mother then waited for the music to start. Once it did, she started down the aisle, slowly, just like they'd taught her, flicking out flower petals along the way.
Taylor
Taylor had turned to the door when the music started, watching as everyone rose from their seats.
He smiled as Zoe began to make her way down, looking absolutely perfect. She was followed by the first of the bridesmaids, and it was around then that Taylor felt himself shaking slightly.
Natalie
Haley and Emma walked down the asile behind Zoe, and stopped when they lined up with Zac and Matt respectively. Lauren wasn't far behind (because that would have just looked weird).
Then Natalie walked down the asile, her arm linked with her fathers'. She had been a little worried that he wouldn't, but despite his initial reaction to Taylor, (and the news of her pregnancy), Mr Bryant was more than happy to. Probably would have been offended if he hadn't been asked.
Lauren fell into line with Isaac, and Natalie and her father stopped infront of the pastor.
"Who gives this bride to be wed?"
"I do," Mr Bryant said.
He took Natalie's hand, turned to Taylor and gave him a long look. A faint smile crossed his face, and he put Natalie's hand into Taylors', and moved next to his own wife.
Taylor
Taylor could hardly believe his own eyes. Natalie looked so beautiful. It was all he could do to keep his eyes from watering.
He gave her hand a gentle squeeze before looking to the pastor.
Natalie and Zac
Natalie squeezed back.
"We are gathered here together..." the paster began.
Zac shifted from foot to foot. Why were these ceremonies always so long and boring?
"Taylor, do you take Natalie to be your lawful wedded wife, to have and to hold, to love and to cherish, in sickness and in health, 'till death do you part?"
Taylor
"I do," Taylor smiled nervously, his eyes on Natalie again.
Natalie and Isaac
"And do you, Natalie, take Taylor to be your lawful wedded husband, to have and to hold, to love and to cherish, in sickness and in health, 'till death do you part?"
"I do," Natalie replied, smiling back at Taylor.
"The rings, please."
Isaac stepped forward, brandishing the rings. He opened up the one with Natalie's and handed it to Taylor.
Taylor
Taylor carefully took the ring and held her hand gently.
Though his voice was a little shaky and he was smiling the entire time, he said the vows perfectly before slipping the ring onto her finger.
Isaac and Natalie
Isaac then handed Natalie her ring for Taylor. She held it over Taylor's finger as she said her vow, and then pushed it on the rest of the way.
"I now pronounce you husband and wife," said the pastor. "You may now kiss the bride."
Taylor
Taylor immediately leant forward, and taking hold of Natalie's jaw planted a firm kiss on her lips.
And held it for quite a while...
Natalie and Zac
Natalie was a little surprised at the length of time Taylor was applying to this kis... but she definitely was not complaining!
After a few minutes, Zac couldn't help himself:
"Get a room!"
Taylor
Taylor started laughing and had to break away.
"I now present to you..." the pastor announced with an amused smile, "Mr. and Mrs. Jordan Taylor Hanson."
Applause erupted, and Taylor took Natalie's hand before they began to step down.
Natalie, Isaac and Zac
Natalie walked close to Taylor as they headed back down the asile, a huge grin on her face.
Isaac linked arms with Lauren, and fell into step behind them. Zac and Haley waited a moment, and did the same, as did Matt and Emma (who was loving the excuse to be arm in arm with Natalie's older brother). Mackie had blatantly refused to link arms with Zoe, as they came down the asile last.
Zoe, Avery and JD
Zoe walked alongside with Mack, following everyone else and giggling over something strange and random that only small children would find amusing.
Avery looked up at JD and smiled slightly, leaning against his shoulder.
