Dear Christian,
Sorry I've taken so long to reply to your last letter. Things got busy negociating with the French. I've changed my mind about them, by the way. They're worse than the Americans. I never thought I'd say that that about anyone, but there you go. They keep changing their negociating team (damn politics) and we have to start all over again. At this rate I think we're going to be here for months.
About the only legitimate reason for a changeup was because one of them started invading our privacy - he had actually started snooping in our rooms and even managed to delay our mail so that he could read it first! Don't worry, we caught him out before he got to yours. Not that you said anything incriminating, but that's not the point. We have more security here now so that won't happen again, but I opted to wait a little longer before replying just to make sure.
Anyway, I don't mean to burden you will all my problems. Other than work, our stay in France has been great. There are some amazing sights here. And good food too, although I haven't tried any of their more weirder ones, like escargots and frogs legs!
Tate wrote some more about the sights she had seen and other things she had done.
So, how about you? What kind of things have you been doing? If you'd rather not talk about it, that's fine with me. I hope you've been well.
She was finding it rather awkward to communicate with someone she couldn't sense - so used she was to being influences by other people.
Hope to hear from you again soon,
From, Tate
