Avery yawned, opening her eyes slowly. She stretched out and felt her hand connect with JD's face.
"Ow..." he groaned, rolling over to face her.
"Sorry," Avery said sheepishly. She sat up and stretched properly, pulling the blanket up around her body to cover herself up.
"So, Miss Avie, your plans for the day?" JD asked, sitting up and leaning against his bedframe.
"Gonna practice my telepathy, then I told your mom I'd help out at the cafe for a few hours," Avery replied. She climbed out of bed and put on one of JD's shirts. "You?"
"Well, I enrolled in college on Friday, so I thought I'd go to the campus and have a look around, then go out and get all my texts," JD answered.
"Sounds hot." Avery padded over to the door and blew him a kiss. "Well, I'll be at the cafe from lunch onwards, so drop in if you feel like brightening my day."
JD grabbed her arm and pulled her back onto the bed on top of him, before kissing her softly. "Mmmkay. I'll drop in later."
Avery grinned down at him. "Mmmkay."
