School Dance

Written by Michelle, Nessa and Joy

Friday, Mark and Whip

Friday entered the hall with her group of friends. Certainly, having this school dance was a fun way of catching up after the school break. Although it was interesting having Xavier's people here too.

While Friday knew a few people from there, the only person who was actually still at the school who she was familiar with was Shannon, and Shannon avoided going to parties.

"Hey look," Arthur said with a slight smirk, "look whose sitting in the corner all alone."

Whip and the rest of their group glanced over to see Mark, arms folded and looking around bored.

"Why'd he even come to the party?" Bonnie mused. "No one said we have to go."

"Probably looking for us to screw up so he can report us," Queenie replied.

"Scott hasn't been listening to him lately," Geri pointed out. "Not for that kind of gosspi anyway. But forget Mark... who wants to dance?"

Bobby

Bobby walked through the doors, Julie's hand in his. "Man, it feels so weird to be back here again. Even though I turn up to see Hank sometimes... but still..." He looked around. "Do we actually know anyone here anymore?"

Julie and Friday

"Hmm... well," Julie said. "I know Friday. Except she attends the slayer school, not Xaviers. Oh, there's turdface Mark over there. And Annika's little brother Whip (I still can't believe her mother named him after a soap opera character). And umm, they look familiar but I don't think we officially met. And Shannon's still here, except she's obviously being the little party pooper and not attendning."

She shook her head, remembering all the times she and Rogue had to talk Shannon coming to the school dances with them.

"Hey, Julie!" Friday called.

"Hey Day," Julie smiled, and gave her a hug. "So, what's new with you?"

"Oh nuffin. Hey Bobby."

Bobby

"Hey F-dawg," Bobby waved, grinning. "Although, that sounds kinda rude... maybe D-dawg."

He looked around.

"I think Bek said she might come back if she wasn't on tour or something. Man, I remember when we like OWNED this place."

He kissed Julie's cheek.

"Hey bum, I'm gonna run down and see Hanky, I'll be back to take you for a spin around the floor in a flash. See ya D-dawg!"

Julie and Friday

"Okay, see ya sweetie," Julie said, kissing his cheek back.

"Later B-dawg," Friday grinned.

Julie chuckled.

"So, where are the chilluns tonight?"

"Annika's looking after them."

"Brave women."

"She's done it before. And she doesn't mind."

"You sure she doesn't mind?"

"She loves kids, told me herself. Of course, she's also helped to raise her younger brothers and sisters... Actually, see that guy over there? His name is Whip."

"Whip?"

"Yup. He's Annika's brother. Their mother likes to name them after characters from soap operas."

"Poor child. Says me who insisted on naming my daughter after a comic book character."

"Yeah, but Elektra is a cool name," Julie nodded.

"Says the girl who names her children after TV characters as well."

"Yeah, but Star Trek, and Dark Angel and Mutant X are so much cooler than any soapie."

"Can't argue with that."

"Anyway, the point is that Whip is a mutant - well, obviously, - and if it weren't for Annika he wouldn't be here. Annika tends to believe that their mother would have looked for the most profitable use of Whip once she had known he was a mutant."

"Huh. What's his power?"

"Invisibility and teleportation, I think."

Friday whistled.

"Could have made a pretty good bugular with that combination."

Julie raised her eyebrows.

"Y'know, I never thought of that."

"Well, there you go."

Bobby

After a visit down with Hank, Bobby reappeared looking happier than he had before. He sauntered over to Julie and Friday and wrapped his arms around the both of them.

"Did I mention how much better I always feel after seeing my best friend?" Bobby said, then leant on Julie.

"Well... I do. I love Hanky."

Julie and Friday

"Aww, how sweet," Friday said. "Have you got some competition, Julie?"

Julie moved her hand down and swatted Bobby's butt.

"Unlikely," she smiled.

Bobby

"The fur could be kinda erotic," Bobby mused, then made a face. "Ok no, that's my very bestest friend, I will not think of him like that."

He rested his head on top of Julie's, then waved randomly to someone.

"I think we might know that person, but meh, I don't know. I am awesome."

He kissed the top of Julie's head.

"Later, we are going to engage in a crazy three person dance, and no protesting D-Dawg, we will DANCE! Hmm... I wonder if my robot box costume is still here... OH MY GOD! IT'S PUBES!"

Bobby darted off to go hug Jubilee.

Whip, Julie and Friday

Julie and Friday chuckled.

" 'Scuse me?" Whip said. "Julie?"

"Oh, hi Whip," Julie said cheerfully.

"Hey... is Annika here?"

"No... she at home with the kids."

"Oh," there was no disgusing the disappointment in his voice.

"I'll tell her you said 'hi' and wished she had come?"

"Yeah, thanks," Whip smiled.

"So, how have you been finding it here?"

"Oh, it's good."

"Cool. This is my friend Friday."

"Yo," said Friday with a nod.

"Hey."

Jubliee

"BOBBY!" Jubilee screeched.

"JUBES!" Bobby screamed back. He ran over and lifted the tiny girl up and spun her around in a huge hug. "Dude, it's been like forevers since I saw you."

"I know," Jubilee said, shoving him playfully. "Jerkface."

"Let's dance like chickens," Bobby said, dragging her out onto the dance floor.

Matt and Joelle

Meanwhile, on the otherside of the dance floor, Matt and Joelle were quite happily dancing in each other's arms. Matt had finally started being able to control his druglike nature so that he didn't change colour and start breathing LSDs on Joelle or something.

Matt lifted his hand and twirled Joelle around. She giggled.

Dawn, Willow and Clark

Darcy had enjoyed spending the week at the mansion, and she especially enjoyed meeting Micah. The bat-mutant asked the goth girl to dance with him, and she agreed.

"They are a perfect match," Dawn remarked to Willow.

"They really are," the redhead agreed.

"Oh!" Dawn remembered. "I almost forgot! Clark and I both got accepted into the University of Ohio at Cleveland, and Clark worked it out with Lex for an internship at COSI. We're starting for summer term in June. Is there still room for me at the school?"

"Absolutely," Willow said. "We're always happy to have you. Actually, the library at the Watcher Academy will probably be more to your liking than the one at Slayer School. Giles is still hoping you'll become a Watcher."

"I've actually been thinking about it," Dawn admitted. "But I think I'd like to try regular university first. The main reason I asked, actually, is that the school requires us to be married to share a dorm, and those are really crappy anyway. He doen't want to be any more indebted to Lex, so we kind of need to find an apartment."

"We can work it out later," Willow said. "In the mean time, it looks like your boy wants a dance." Clark came over and swept Dawn away to the dance floor.

Oz and Bobby

Oz wandered over to Willow and rested his hands on her waist.

"So... are we dancing?"

Bobby was twirling Jubes around on the dance floor, snickering and cracking jokes about everything.

Friday and Julie

A smirk crossed Friday's face as she spotted Tiffany, standing alone and looking around the room.

"Wassa matta Tiffy?" she said. "No guy here hot enough for you to flirt with? Aww, what a shame."

Tiffany glowered at her.

"Ahh, so that's Tiffany," Julie said, appraising the girl. "Y'know, there are more girls than guys here... maybe you should turn her into a boy again and start to even things out."

"Hmm, that's a good point..." Friday started counting heads, trying to figure out how many (and who) she would have to turn into a boy in order to even out the sexes.

Faith, Bobby, Rebekah and Oliver

Faith adjusted her top slightly, making sure she was still actually IN it, as she wandered through the familiar halls of Xaviers, looking for Logan.

She stopped outside his room, listened for a second, then knocked.

Logan scented the air and cocked his head slightly.

"Faith."

She opened the door and peered in, grinning. "Well, I was sorta scared that you might forget me after all this time, but I see that fear was totally unjustified."

Logan got up from his place on his bed and pulled her inside the room.

~*~*~*~

Bobby walked Jubilee over to a bunch of her friends and chatted with them for awhile, then patted her on the head and walked back over to Julie.

"Lo, lady love," he greeted, then saluted to Friday. "Lo, D-dawg. Long time no see."

He put his arms around Julie's waist and rested his head on her shoulder, yawning. "Ohmygodit'sBek!"

He let go of Julie and went racing over to the new arrival, who was standing in the doorway, holding the hand of someone who wasn't Jono. Hmmm, obviously the new boyfriend after... the break up that had rocked the foundations of Xaviers.

"BEK!" he screeched.

"Hey!" she greeted, letting go of Oliver's hand for a moment to be swept up in the hug from Bobby.

"You look great," he said, giving her the once over. "Touring going well?"

"Pretty good... this is Oliver, by the way... who else is here?" she asked casually, walking with Oliver and Bobby over to Julie and Friday.

Bobby sketched a salute at Oliver.

"Me, Jules... Jubes. Not really sure who else," he replied. "Feels weird, we're back here and we've moved on so a lot of our class aren't here."

"How many of you guys are missing?" Oliver asked, his first words of the night, his English accent a dead giveaway of his heritage.

"A lot," Bobby said, putting his arm around Julie again, once they'd reached the group. "Like... Tav, Dem, Sergei, Angelo... Jono... everyone."

"Hey Julie," Rebekah greeted, reaching across Bobby to hug the other girl. "This is Oliver. Oh, it's so good to see you, you look fantastic! How's life with Bobby treating you?"

Oliver just smiled and rested his hands around Bek's waist.

Julie and Friday

Julie put her arm around Bobby as well.

"Good, good," she said. "You look fabulous yourself. You remember Friday? From the camp at Australia a couple of years ago?"

Friday grinned.

"I can't believe it was over a year ago now," she mused.

Rebekah and Bobby

"Oh yes, I remember," Rebekah said, smiling at Friday. "It feels like forever ago that we were all here."

"Remember when we put the plan into action to save the Professor?" Bobby asked, smiling almost dreamily. "Our finest moment."

Julie and Friday

"Yeah, that was cool," Julie nodded. "Plus getting another one on Scotty-boy is always a bonus. I thought about making a villian in one of my games, but decided I wouldn't pay him the compliment."

Friday chuckled.

Bobby

Bobby pouted at Julie.

"Why isn't there an Iceman in your gameeeee?"

Julie and Friday

"Yeah... you have me and Zac in your game... what about your own fiance?" Friday teased.

"Weeeelll... I've still been pondering the whole mutant kit thing..." Julie mused. "But you do raise a good point. I shall have to rectify that oversight."

She nodded decisively.

Bobby, Rebekah, Oliver and Faith

"Good," Bobby said, nodding happily.

"Oh look, Faith's back," Rebekah observed, gesturing towards the door where Faith and Logan had just walked in.

Oliver looked over, then turned his attention back to the group.

"Is Our Lord Xavier going to come tonight?" Bobby asked.

"You do realise he probably knows you just said that, right?" Rebekah told him.

"Oh yeah... sorry Professor, don't smote me!"

Julie and Friday

Julie giggled.

"Lord Xavier?" Friday repeated. "I like the name Xavier. I may name my son that. If I ever have a son."

"How is Elektra, by the way?"

"Umm, well, she was good the last time I spoke to Zac," Friday shrugged.

"Have I ever told you how happy I am that you finally got Zac pregnant?"

"Numerous times."

Bobby, Rebekah and Oliver

"Everyone has so many kids," Bobby said.

"Yourself included," Rebekah pointed out.

"Well, yeah, that's a lifestyle choice though. I didn't HAVE to stay with Julie," he replied. "How's Jolie?"

"She's good. Staying with Jono this week, then she'll be on tour with me after that," she said.

"Ah, Jono and Rebekah. The break up that shook the very foundations of this school," Bobby joked.

Oliver looked slightly uncomfortable at the mention of Jono.

"It's ok," Bek said softly. "I mean, we're still friends. It took awhile, but we're ok now."

Julie and Friday

"That's good," Julie said. "I think it's good for your children to have both a father and a mother."

"Yes, and Elektra has all that in Zac," Friday giggled.

"That aside," and Julie got a sly look on her face. "Hey, Bek, did anyone ever tell you I finally got the guts to do a DNA test on the twins I got pregnant with after the camp?"

Rebekah and Bobby

"Oh, no, you didn't! Who's who?" Rebekah asked, her eyebrows knitting together in interest.

Bobby chuckled.

Julie and Friday

"Well, Josh is Lance's - he actually has turned himself into dirt once or twice, which is seriously freaky, let me tell you," Julie nodded.

"Any more freaky than B'E and Tom going practically invisible on you?" Friday grinned.

"May the terrible twos not be the headache all the other mothers claim it is," Julie replied. "And Tinga is Octavian's."

Bobby and Rebekah

"Don't forget Dax and Cindy!" Bobby bounced excitedly. "They're the fruit of my loins!"

"Please, no talk of your loins, Bobby," Rebekah said, making a face.

Julie and Friday

Julie giggled.

"They were born later though. Except I'm passing Dax and Cindy off as Tinga and Josh's quadruplet siblings because Dax and Cindy were born in an alternate dimension where time goes faster than what it does here, and thus are physically the same age."

"Wow, if I hadn't been there that story would have sounded so farfetched," Friday mused.

Bobby and Rebekah

"Do you realise how incredibly good looking Dax and Cindy are gonna be?" Bobby asked, nodding. "Coz, check out their parents. Hott with TWO t's!"

Rebekah laughed and shook her head slightly. "So do you still see like Tav and stuff?"

Bobby shook his head, then made a 'sort of' hand gesture. "On and off. We email each other and stuff."

Julie and Friday

"How is the old boy doing?" Julie asked.

"Old boy?" Friday repeated.

Julie grinned.

Bobby

"Good, I think. Enjoying Harvard."

Bobby put his arm around Julie and grinned.

"It's funny how everyone moves on, hey."

Julie and Friday

"Yeah, is huh?" Julie agreed. "I'm glad that he got out of his father's... ahem.... thumb. He was really going downhill for awhile there. Hmm... I wonder if he'd like to know that Tinga's his?"

"You haven't told him?" Friday asked.

"Didn't have the opportunity," Julie shrugged.

"Better not tell Zac. He gets very uptight about people knowing what kids they've fathered. Or mothered."

"Yeah, I've noticed that."

Bobby

Bobby rested his head on Julie's for a moment.

"Well, I'd like to know if any of my ill-deeds provided me with children."

Julie

"Hmm, okay," Julie mused. "I'll get his email off you later and drop him a line. And send him a pic of his beautiful baby girl."

On the other side of the hall, Scott asked for the dance floor to be cleared as they would be playing Limbo.

Bobby and Rebekah

Bobby watched Scott out of the corner of his eye. He made a face, thinking.

"Do you honestly think you have kids? Other than with Julie?" Rebekah asked.

Bobby shrugged. "Probably not. I've gotta talk to Xavier tonight."

Friday and Julie

"That's all we'll need. Another Zac," Friday mused. "If it turns out that you have a horde of children like he does, Bobby, I think I'll turn you into a girl and Julie into a boy, and let her - ahem, him - impregnante you."

"Hmm... that could be interesting... having sex as a boy..." Julie mused.

Bobby and Rebekah

"I'd love to have sex as a girl... maybe you should just do it, Frizie," Bobby giggled.

He then darted off to talk to Xavier about his options in terms of becoming an X-Men.

"He's gone to see Xavier," Rebekah informed the others, catching his thoughts as he left. "Wants to be an X-Men. Or wants to talk about it at least. Seems pretty nervous from the vibes I just got."

Julie and Friday

"Frizie?" Friday repeated.

"Bobby loves nicknames," Julie grinned at her. "Can you imagine him as an X-man? He'll be a lean, mean freezing machine, and what's more, he can also do your taxes."

She giggled.

Bobby, Rebekah and Oliver

Bobby skidded the corner and arrived at Xavier's office. He raised his hand to knock.

"Come in."

~*~*~*~

"I still find it very difficult to believe that Bobby, of all people, is studying accounting," Rebekah said.

"Why?" Oliver asked.

"Spend any time alone with him. You'll see. He's not really that... focused. Smart, yes, when he chooses to be, but he doesn't seem, I don't know, serious enough?" Rebekah shrugged. "It just seems weird."

Julie

"I know," Julie nodded. "But I guess it must be one of those 'smart when he chooses to be' moments. He does take his studying rather seriously. Which is astonishing, because we all know his attitude towards studying was here, but yeah. Personally, I think the person who's going to have the most trouble wrapping her head around this is Rogue. He was always after her math homework."

Rebekah and Bobby

"Or her history homework... or English... or... any kind, actually," Rebekah said thoughtfully. "I remember when I heard that Bobby and Rogue used to date. That weirded me out."

Bobby sauntered back into the room, a pleased grin on his face as he wandered back up to the group.

"Did I hear my name?"

"Yeah, talking about you and Rogue dating," Rebekah replied.

Bobby chuckled. "Yeah. We shared one sweet kiss. That's all. How much regret must Rogue have? To know she had me but let me slip through her fingers, into the hands of her best friend J. Oh, those days."

He stared off into the distance.

"You idiot," Rebekah said, rolling her eyes.

"How you wound me with words, Bek. How you wound me. Incidentally, I will be a part-time X-Men. X-Man. Whatever. But it's about time I got my own uniform."

Friday and Julie

"I can turn you into an ex-man right now if you want," Friday said cheerfully.

"You love that joke, dontcha, Day?" Julie asked.

"Hell yes."

Bobby

"Maybe later," Bobby said thoughtfully.

"I'm intrigued about this girl thing."

Julie and Friday

"Typical. Day, why'd you have to bring the subject up again?" Julie demanded.

"Like you wouldn't want to try it as a boy," Friday winked.

"Well, that's so not the point."

"Uh huh."

Bobby

Bobby grinned.

"We should one day, it'll be cool."

He scratched the back of his head.

"Now, Frizie, my dear friend, you and I are going to go for a spin on the dance floor and you can know what it feels like to be the most envied girl in the room."

He reached out, grabbed Day's hand and started dragging her out onto the dancefloor.

Friday

Friday chuckled and let herself be dragged along by Bobby.

"I hardly think I'm the most envied girl in the room," she replied. "Julie's the one who's marrying you. Shouldn't the most envied girl be her?"

Bobby

"Well, I meant that for once, you get to feel what it's like to be Julie," Bobby amended.

"To be on the arm of the greatest mutant to ever walk these grounds."

He swirled her around and chuckled.

"We should do swing dancing, and YOU should pick me up! How awesome and crazy would that look?"

Friday

Friday chuckled.

"Hmm, yes, well, I can see why Julie likes you so much, crazy boy," she grinned.

Bobby

"She likes me?" Bobby pretended to be shocked.

"And here I thought she hated me!"

Friday

"Yeah, she does, I was just saying that to further inflate your male ego," Friday replied seriously.

She did a little twirl to hide the grin on her face.

Bobby

"Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!" Bobby wailed, stopping his dancing and standing in the middle of the dance floor like a 5 year old boy who wasn't allowed to have another toy truck.

"You lieeeeeeeeeeeeeee!"

Bobby, being Bobby, was completely unaffected by the amount of people now staring at him, wondering if his little outburst was real (which it wasn't).

Jubilee snickered and kept dancing.

Julie and Friday

Julie looked over at Bobby and Friday and chuckled to herself.

"I do not lie," Friday objected. "I mess with your head. There is a difference."

She nodded.

Bobby

"I seeeeee," Bobby said.

He then put his arms around Friday and led her in a slow dance to a fast song, because he felt like doing so.

Friday and Julie

Friday decided that two could play at this game and deliberately led him into a tango, completely disregarding the fact that the man is supposed to lead.

Julie watched from the sidelines with a big, silly grin on her face.

Bobby

Bobby started giggling hysterically, while trying to sing out a tango tune, but with his laughing, it came out more of a "der der der ner ner ner hahaha derrrrr!" rather than anything actually close to the tune.

"Being a girl is easy when it comes to dancing," Bobby observed.

Friday

"Not if the guy we're dancing with is so weak he can't lift us up," Friday replied, grinning. "Ker splat!"

She did another twirl.

"But then I suppose the same thing can happen if the girl is fat."

Bobby, Nicole and Rebekah

Bobby laughed and twirled her again.

"Yeah... lucky I'm so bufftastic!"

Nicole sauntered into the gym, low cut, backless black halter dress, short, finishing just below her butt. Two pieces of material covering her breasts, held in the middle with a spaghetti thin strap.

Bobby paused in his dancing to wave at his old friend.

Nicole's painted red lips turned up in a smile, her brown eyes crinkling at the corners.

Rebekah looked at Bobby and then Nicole, and then Julie to gauge a reaction.

Julie and Friday

Julie noted Nicole's arrival (indeed, she oculdn't miss it) and tensed up. Then relaxed slightly, if remembering that she was the one engaged to Bobby.

"Friend of yours?" Friday inquired.

Bobby, Nicole and Rebekah

Bobby nodded at Friday and then kissed her cheek.

"I'm gonna go say hi, I haven't seen her since... well forever!"

He jogged over to say hi to Nicole, who was standing by the punch table. They hugged briefly, before giggling over something that probably no one else would find remotely funny or interesting.

"Missed you," Nicole pouted, not in a flirty way, just truthful.

"I missed you too," Bobby replied. His eyes strayed to the necklace around her neck, diamond ring looped through it.

Nicole caught his gaze and smiled slightly. "Yeah."

"Congratulations are in order then... I feel a congratulations spanking coming on!" Bobby exclaimed, jumping round like a little boy.

"I'd curb that impulse if I were you," Nicole laughed. "Or I'll punt you but good!"

"I would just like to see you catch me," Bobby replied. "Because I am the fastest runner evers. EVERS."

"Your mom is!" Nicole shot back.

"YOUR TWO DAD'S ARE!" Bobby looked triumphant at his last call, before he and Nicole broke out into hysterical laughter.

Rebekah considered the emotions coming off Julie. "You don't have to worry about anything. From what I can catch, she has no feelings towards Bobby. Well, not in a bad way anyway. And likewise from him."

Julie and Friday

Julie looked over to Rebekah and smiled.

"Am I that obvious?" she asked.

Friday rejoined them at that point.

"Well, I have to say... your fiance does a mean Fango."

"Fango? Is that like, a cross between a Fox-Trot and a Tango?"

"No. It's the 'fools tango'."

"Are you calling Bobby a fool?"

"More like a jester rather than stupid. So I guess it would make it a Jango."

Rebekah, Bobby and Nicole

Rebekah laughed. "Nah, I could just feel it because I was standing so close to you."

Bobby took Nicole's arm and led her out onto the dance floor, where they kept chatting, but dancing at the same time.

Julie and Friday

Julie nodded. Friday glanced between Julie and Rebekah, figured she missed something, and decided not to ask.

"So, anyway, before I was thinking to myself... the boy to girl ratio here is uneven in favour of the girls. Or perhaps, the disfavour, since girls generally like dancing more than boys. But then," Friday went on thoughfully, "girls also have less inhibitions about dancing with each other... But anyway, that's not the point. The point is, I've been trying to figure out how many girls I would have to chnage to boys to even the sexes out, and who would I change? Y'know, other than Miss Tiffany Tart over there, whom I will change to a boy at the drop of a hat."

Bobby, Rebekah, Nicole and Oliver

Bobby came waltzing over with Nicole by his side. He vaguely wondered if there would be tension between Nicole and Julie, then pushed it aside, deciding that if they both cared about him, they wouldn't make a scene. Not that he cared... coz that would be kind of hot...

Rebekah leant against Oliver slightly, listening to the music and the conversations around her.

"Hey Julie," Nicole said softly.

Bobby put his arm around Julie's waist. "Nicole's getting married, it's so insane. Boy back home. Oh man, I'm going to call up old Pete and see how he managed to get the balls to ask!"

Julie and Friday

"Hey," Julie replied, equally as soft. "Congratulations."

Friday glanced at Nicole. She remembered Julie complaining about her. Huh. Well, looks like the old anamostity was gone.

Nicole and Bobby

"Thanks," Nicole replied. "Good luck with this one."

Bobby made a mock hurt face.

"But Nic! I am awesome!"

"Yes. Awesome."

Julie and Friday

Julie grinned.

"Thanks," she said.

"She's going to need it," Friday replied, nodding solomnly.

Bobby

"Oh D-Dawg, how could you turn on me? We are partners in crime!"

Bobby pretended to sob on Julie's shoulder.

Friday and Julie

"It's very easy," Friday nodded. "I just open my mouth and say something that curries you no favour. Additionally, I don't recall ever committing a crime, let alone one with you."

Julie chuckled.

Bobby

"My heart is turning to ice."

And to demonstrate, Bobby encased himself in ice.

Friday and Julie

"Such dramatics," Friday grinned.

"Aww," Julie said. "I'm sure a little... body heat... will melt your ice cold heart..."

Bobby and Nicole

"You are such a little minx, my dear," Bobby said, returning to his normal form.

"Whoa, how long have you been able to do that?" Nicole asked.

"Um... not long. It started out as snow, so if we had a fight now, I'm fairly confident I could beat you," he said.

"Dude, took you long enough," she commented.

Julie and Friday

"I love snow," Julie said wistfully.

"I don't," Friday said.

"Well, well, that's because you don't know any better."

"I so do, and that's why I hate snow."

Bobby

"Really?" Bobby grinned and took Julie's hand.

"Get your coat and come with me."

Julie

Julie gave him a curious look, but grabbed her coat with her spare hand.

"Where are we going?" she asked.

Bobby

"You'll see."

Bobby took her outside into the vast expanse of property at Xavier's.

He led her down the stairs to the large pond with the fountain in the centre.

"You wanted snow? I can give you the next best thing."

He put his finger to the water and slowly, the fountain and water froze. He then lifted Julie up and made her shoes into ice-skates, using his power, repeating the process on himself.

Julie

Julie grinned, looking around at his handywork in awe.

"This is awesome," she said.

She wrapped one arm around his neck and kissed him.

Bobby

Bobby kissed her back, then lifted her onto the ice, pausing only to finish off his skate.

He then took her hand.

"Ready?"

Julie

"Yep," Julie smiled.

Tentatively, she skated a circle around Bobby, and giggled when she grabbed onto Bobby's shoulder to keep from stumbling.

"Haven't done this is ages."

Bobby

"We should do it as often as we can," Bobby smiled, keeping a firm hold of her hand to steady her balance, then let go.

He skated round the fountain.

Ending as written by Michelle

The two skated together until the dance inside started to break up. Everyone had a great time and went home happily. Hurrah.
