Auditions in LA

Written by Nessa and Joy

Fryzie

Fryzie sat behind the table with Gianna, fidgeting with his polystyrene cup. He picked it apart, waiting for the next interveiwee to enter.

And then she did.

Tall, thin, legs for days, huge... assets, almost white blonde hair and clear blue eyes... Fryzie thought he'd just seen heaven.

The girl walked in and sat down in the chair, handing over her forms. Her legs crossed seductively and her pink lips turned up in a teasing smile. "I'm Skye Fowler."

"Yes you are," Fryzie murmured, transfixed, but being jolted back to reality when Gianna nudged him in the ribs. "And you're... 21? Your power?"

"Attraction," Skye replied. Her eyes danced in amusement as she watched Fryzie digest this. His silent female partner sat stoicly, looking her up and down.

"And your occupation... oh!" Fryzie looked at the sheet and grinned childishly. "Is this your long term career goal?"

"Well, I hadn't planned on staying in this line of work forever, no," Skye replied smoothly.

"Do you find it rewarding?" Gianna asked snidely.

"Pays the bills, is all. I'm doing what I have to do to get by, and I ain't ashamed of what I am," Skye sniped back.

The interview proceeded much like the others they'd had that morning, and by the end of it, Fryzie put her in the very strong maybe pile.

Keahi

Keahi knocked and entered.

"Hello, my name is Keahi Keakealani," she said.

Fryzie

Fryzie looked up from the mess of his cup and smiled warmly.

"Come in, have a seat," he said. "I'm Fryzie, and this is Gianna."

"Hey," Gianna greeted, holding her hand out for the form.

Keahi

Keahi sat down and smiled. "So, whatcha want to know about me?"

Fryzie

"Just about everything," Fryzie said, reclinging slightly in his chair. "What's made you so interested in applying for the show?"

Keahi

"Well," Keahi thought for a moment. "Outside of the surfing circuit and the occasional YIRAAS event, I don't have a lot of friends, be they alien, mutant or human. I've met a few people online, but I just don't know a lot of people well. I never went to university, yet, at least."

Fryzie

"Cool," Fryzie mused. He scratched the back of his neck. "Alright, well, we'll be in touch if you make it through. Thanks for coming out here."
