Isaac opened up the door for Natalie when Tony dropped her off.
"Hi Nat," he greeted.
"Hi Ike," Natalie replied softly.
"Come on in."
Natalie followed Isaac inside, feeling as nervous as she did the day she first arrived to visit Taylor. She knew she had to tell him, and of course was planning to, but the anticipation of his reaction was driving her crazy. Let alone who she was actually going to get the words out of her mouth.
Taylor
Taylor heard her at the door, and immediately went to greet her.
"Hey," he smiled as he met her in the hallway.
His smile soon faded when he felt the pheremones she was casting. He glanced at Isaac.
"Is everything ok?" he asked, indicating for her to follow him to his room.
Isaac and Natalie
Isaac shrugged, and went off to do his own thing. If something was wrong, he figured Natalie would be more likely to open up without him around.
Natalie followed Taylor to his room, uncertain as to what to reply. She should have realised he would cotten in straight away that something was amiss.
"Well, umm..." she stammered. "I guess... it depends on how you look at it?"
Taylor
"Please, sit," Taylor offered, indicating the bed as he closed the door behind them.
He frowned slightly.
"Is everyone ok back in Georgia?"
Natalie
"Huh? Oh yeah, everyone's fine," Natalie nodded a little too vigorously.
She sat down on the bed, if hesitantly, and looked down at the floor, hands clasped between her knees. She had no idea how to tell him.
Taylor
Taylor bit his lip nervously, before glancing over at the fuzzles. They were silent, save for Dorian snoring a little.
He made his way over and knelt down in front of her.
"Whatever it is, you can tell me," he insisted, hoping to catch her eyes.
He reached up to take one of her hands in his.
Natalie
Natalie was quiet for a moment.
"You... you remember our date, and how at the end we... well, y'know..." she said, feeling that annoying blush creep across her face. "Well, umm... I, we may have..."
"Stop stammering," she mentally scolded herself.
She took a deep breath.
"I'm pregnant."
Taylor
Taylor's eyes lit up for a split second, before he ducked his head.
He gave Natalie's hand a squeeze.
"Have you checked with a doctor yet? How do you know?" he asked carefully.
Natalie
"I took a pregnancy test yesterday. It occured to me that I was, umm, late..." Natalie's blush deepened and she tried to ignore it. "I made an appointment to see the doctor next Tuesday - it was the first appointment I could get."
It felt so much better to finally say it.
Taylor
"Do you want me to come with you?" Taylor offered.
"Or would you prefer to go on your own?"
Natalie
"Well, Mom's coming with me," Natalie said. "But if you want to come... I... I think I'd like that."
She gave a tentative smile.
Taylor
"I'll be there," Taylor promised.
Then he paused, suddenly worried.
"Did you have something specific in mind... if you are?" he asked carefully.
Natalie
Natalie blinked, wondering what he was talking about, and then it clicked.
"Oh... whether to keep it or not?" she asked. "Umm, wow... I never actually thought that far ahead. It's all happened very quickly - it was just last night that I..."
She shook her head.
Taylor
"That's ok, we don't have to rush into anything," Taylor insisted.
"You haven't felt weird or anything, have you?"
Natalie
"Weird? No..." Natalie shook her head. "I dunno... I guess, the whole thing is a bit of a shock. I don't think I've really had a chance to completely comprehend everything."
She chewed her bottom lip and looked up at Taylor, glad that he seemed to be taking things so well.
"I... what do you think?"
Taylor
Taylor hesitated, a little taken aback at the question.
"About what aspect?" he asked, confused.
Natalie
"About... about this. In general. I mean, y'know, some guys get really, I dunno, uptight when they find out their their girlfriend has gotten pregnant," Natalie blabbered.
Taylor
Taylor glanced at the fuzzles, before pursing his lips.
"When we find out for sure..." Taylor began carefully, "I'll let you in on a secret, ok? But I don't want to put you under any pressure as yet. At all."
Natalie
Natalie was curious, but nodded slowly.
"Okay..." she agreed.
There was quiet for a moment.
"So... umm... what did you want to do this afternoon?"
Taylor
Taylor smiled.
"Anything you want," he offered.
