Christian

Christian was just finishing some small detail around the eyes of his dragon mural when he absently glanced at his watch. He grunted a little when he realised the time, quickly putting his marker down on the nearby table reserved for his art tools.

He corrected a few last strokes with his fingers, before pulling the curtain down over it and going to wash his hands. That done, he left the room, and began to make his way to the common room.

As usual he could hear the music as he entered the main corridor. This time though, he was walking purposely as he stepped through the doors and into the main room. He caught the guitarist's eye as he made his way through and found a seat, soon locking eyes with Drew.

The set went for another twenty minutes or so, and Christian sat intrigued almost the entire time. When the set was over, Drew immediately jumped down from the stage and came to sit at Christian's table.

"Hey," he greeted enthusiastically, "how are you?"

"I'm alive," Christian shrugged.

"Mind if we take a seat?"

Christian looked up to see the other three band members standing over him. If Christian had been anyone else, their stance may have been intimidating.

"Go ahead," he indicated the other empty seats.

The redhead looked between the others nervously as they took their places.

"Christian Thomas, right?" the tall pale boy who'd left the art classes extended his hand.

"Yes," Christian replied, taking it, "Shane Brunner."

Shane looked a little taken aback. After shaking Christian's hand, he shifted slightly.

"Do you know all our names?" the redhead asked carefully.

"No, just his and Drew's," Christian chuckled.

"Spud Blake," he leant over decisively.

"Spud?" Christian looked curious.

"His name's William. Spud's his nickname," Drew offered with a grin.

"And?" Christian looked to the last, quiet member.

"Daniel. Daniel Stern," he said softly, shaking Christian's hand.

"And what powers do we have?" Christian smiled, "I know Drew has creation."

"Illusion," Daniel offered.

"Teleportation," Spud raised his hand, "and Shane has telekinesis like you."

"Really?" Christian raised an eyebrow, giving the older one an interested look.

"Yeah, why?" he frowned.

Christian's eyes narrowed slightly.

"Do I know you from somewhere?" he asked suddenly, "I've been mulling over the name Shane for past couple of weeks..."

"Maybe," he replied noncommittedly, "we're all in here for a reason, right?"

Christian nodded, staring at him silently.
