Better Go Out And Get It

Written by Nessa and Joy

Faith

Faith danced through the hotel living room, bopping her head in time to the music. Her hand clapped against her waist as she stopped in front of the phone, hips sashaying to the rhythm.

She lifted the phone and scrolled through her numbers until she found the number for Giles at the School.

Dialling the number, she continued dancing, listening to the phone ring.

Giles

"Good Afternoon, Rupert Giles speaking," Giles said as he answered the phone

Faith

Faith giggled.

"Hey good looking, it's Faith."

Giles

"Oh, Faith. It's good to hear from you. You should come and visit us sometime, I'm sure the girls would love to meet you."

Faith

Faith settled herself down on the couch.

"Well, that's a little bit of the reason why I called actually. Angel's taking me all over the world and maybe later into some different dimensions, and we're studying different fighting techniques. And I was kinda wondering if I could get some training from you, like official council sort of training."

She took a deep breath.

"Whoa, that was a mouthful."

Giles

"Faith, you are welcome at the school any time you wish. Spring break starts on the 15th, and school goes back into session on the 25th, and Willow is throwing a dance onthe 23rd, with the paladin school, slayer school, Watcher Academy and Xavier's in New York all invited. I'll have Willow set you up a bedroom, and you're welcome any time. You have children, correct?"

Faith and Angel

"Thanks, G," Faith replied.

She looked up as Angel walked into the room, Airlia on one shoulder, Serafina on the other shoulder, and Tru in his arms. She grinned in amusement.

"Well, we're back in the States, but in Maine. Don't ask, Angel likes seafood."

Giles

Giles grinned through the phone.

"Will Angel be acomponying you? I believe his daughter would be interested to know that one of her cousins attends this school, and tw2o others attend the Watcher Academy. When should I expect you?"

Faith and Angel

Faith nodded.

"Faith, he can't see that," Angel teased.

"Shut up. Oh, not you Giles," Faith replied, sticking her tongue out at Angel. "Yes, the Dark Avenger will be coming with me, along with Serafina. Um... when do you want to expect me? We're free whenever, just as soon as Angel stops stuffing his face with the local fish."

Giles

"Well," Giles said, mulling it over. "If you want to come in around the 16th or so, it'll give you all about a week to get adjusted before all the students come back. You may want to warn Angel, however, that Drusilla and Dracula have been lurking about the town, and Spike stops by now and again."

Faith

"Actually," Faith said, with a note of surprise in her voice. "Angel and Spike don't really hate each other so much now. I mean, they still try to annoy each other, but nothing serious."

"I'll talk it over with him. Did you want me to teach a class or anything?"

Giles

"I'm sure we could come up with something for you. You've been an active slayer for several years longer than they have, of course. Perhaps you could teach them more about the practical aspects, and what they expect."

Faith

Faith settled down on a chair and put her feet up on the table.

"So basically... teach them not to die. Oh and not to kill people."

She smiled slightly.

Giles

"All right then, I will have rooms made up for you, and we will be expecting you," Giles said. "I"m sorry Faith, Robbie is trying to get my attention, and I need to get going."

Faith

"No, no, that's fine. I'm due for a training session with Angel anyway."

Faith cleared her throat.

"I'll see you soon then. See ya!"

And with that, she hung up.

Giles

"Papa, let's go!" Robbie persisted. Giled set the phone back in its cradle and took Robbie to the museum.
