From Tate

Tate finally had a chance alone to write a letter to Christian. Being a junior diplomat was rather tiresome at times.

To Christian,

Hi! I don't know if you remember me, but I'm Tate - a pathic shifter you met well over a year ago now through Tanya. She thought I might like to write to you, so here I am.

I'm a junior diplomat now, even though I'm only 16 still. So yeah, on the one hand, huge privalge and responsibility, lots of travelling and stuff. On the other hand, total drag. There are a lot of paranoid humans out there with funny ideas about humans.

I'm in France at the moment, and I'm starting to think they're going to be just as annoying as the Americans. There is a reason why no one likes the French! Bunch of arrogant, stuck up, self serving... but I digress. I think my distaste is amplified by my companion's opinions. Of course, I've also been getting an overly large does of self-admiration from the French we've been speaking with, so that probably doesn't help either. Politicians!

At least I don't have to worry about not being understood - because everyone wants to get their point across, I'm capable of understand them perfectly without any need to actually learn French the manual way. It works well.

Anyway, I'm not sure what else to write, so I'll sign off. If you'd rather I didn't write back, that's fine, just let me know and I won't write to you again.

From, Tate
