Talking him into it

Written by Michelle

Tanya

Wayne looked up.

"Yes, Tanya?" he asked. "What is it?"

"I had a thought about Christain."

"No, you can't go visiting him yet - "

"Shush and let me finish," Tanya rolled her eyes. "Look, I found out that Christian's iliterate -"

"How'd you manage that?"

"I mentioned to Leroy I hadn't gotten a reply to my letter and he told me."

"Ahh."

"Seemed fair that I should know that. Anyway, you remember Tate, don't you? Pathic shifter you put in Leroy's care and is now doing negociations?"

"Of course I remember her. What about Tate?"

"Well, she and Christian have met before. I can't really say if they're friends or aquaintences, but I think that they might make good penpals."

"Doesn't Tate's power work better in person?"

"Your point? It's just letter writing."

"I'm just wondering if you're trying to get your own spy into the mix."

"I'm not like you and Leroy."

"Not anymore, huh?"

"Just think about it okay? She's at least one person Christan knows in the YIRAAS but doesn't have any real involvement in the recent troubles bringing Christian in. It might be healthy for Christian to have one friend who isn't connected to everything. Besides, getting letters from more people might help him gain literacy skills. And Tate knows the meaning of 'need to know'."

"Hmm... I'll think on it."

"That's all I ask."
