The small group of Full Members of the Genovian Society of Mutants were gathered together in a special meeting. They sat around chatting until a young woman entered the room. Vicky, Madame Bella remembered. She had come to a few meetings and social gatherings, but hadn't been particularly verbal herself.
"Good afternoon," said Vicky. "Thank you for meeting with me. I'm here to fill you in on the final piece of information you are privy to as full members. After this point, you shall be granted permission to start inviting more people to be full members as you will know the final condition."
"Which is?" inquired someone.
"The ability to handle the fact that there are aliens on earth."
Vicky let them chat it about. The person who spoke up before, added "poppycock" rather loudly. Vicky held up her hands.
"It's quite true," she said. "I myself, have been an alien all my life, although my race is known as Dathrian."
More chatter.
"Our sister race, the Semrillians, are also here. They're very little differences betweens us, but the major one is that Daths do our number the Sems considerably. We all have powers, much as you do. Mine as you may know, is Telepathy. All Daths and Sems are also capable of atom manipulation. I will say that most governments, including Genovia's own, know about us. It's been kept quiet because we didn't want to be persecuted the way you, as mutants, have. Many of us pass off our abilities by pretending to be mutants - as I have done."
Over the next few hours, Vicky talked them all through. She answered questions even as she was using her power to determine if the group was handling it as well as expected. Vicky had gone to a great deal of trouble to visit all the people Mia had put on her list for full members to determine whether she thought they could handle the news or not. Although many mutants knew about aliens, not all of them did.
Madame Bella found the news rather overwhelming, but Vicky promised them all a chance to get used to the idea. And the idea of their beloved Club to conceal the home of the YIRAAS Genovian HQ? Well, it made her a little uncomfortable but it made sense.
"Hang it all, you want us to continue this charade? The society is supposed to uphold a high standard of morality, and you want us to lie to people?"
"Lie to them?" Vicky repeated. "Well, to begin with, we're been lying to people for decades trying to conceal ourselves, but you could say our game plan has changed. The number of humans and mutants who know about us is always expanding, and it's foolish of us to try and continue this way. It won't work. No, we're not asking you to lie to your people - it's likely that some of those you would recruit even already know. What we're asking in that you look out for people who can handle the news, if they don't already know. Consider it need to know information."
The talk continued, and Madame Bella left the meeting that night with a sense of incredulousness.
