Finishing the Class

Written by Michelle

Psylocke

Psylocke and her fellow actors moved to the front of the stage.

"Very good," said their teacher. "You have all managed to prove that you deserved your spot in this class."

Psylocke resisted the urge to roll her eyes. He had been like that all six weeks. She was glad after today she wouldn't have to put up with him any more (unless he was involved in the movie or TV show in another capacity - no... that was too horrendous a thought to dwell on).

"As you know, all the plays have been filmed, and will be sent on to the casting crew. They will have a lot of material to go through, so it may be a few weeks before you're notified one way or another, but you will get notification saying yay or nay," he was empathic on that last point. "I wish you all the best of luck."

The class soon dispursed after that.

Psylocke mulled over her performance on her way home. Just like the other two times, she was uncertain if she did the best job she could have. She had her lines down fine, but she kept thinking that she could have done some of them better. And she felt that her teacher was a lousy director too - if she had been in charge she would have done a few things differently, that was certain.

She sighed. Well, she had done her best. She could only hope that she had made it. At least she had other jobs coming up - a few weeks wait could serious cramp her bank account if she didn't have work.
