Saku yawned as he woke up at noon that day.
"Hi Ella," he said. "Heard from Dad yet?"
The day before Kylie had been taken to the hospital - the baby was coming.
"No," Ella replied.
Saku shrugged and hid the smile on his face from her. Ahh, his best piece of mischief and anyone who could figure out what he did wouldn't get him in trouble for it. Been experimenting with his magic and discovered he could curse a woman with a long labour. Mwahaha. Served her right too.
It was a few hours yet before Zac rang home to tell them the good news.
"Hi Dad!"
"Hey Saku. Guess what, you have a baby brother."
"Yay," Saku said, pleased. "That beats another sister. I have more sisters than brothers, y'know."
"Yeah," Zac said.
"What's his name?"
"Brock Andrew... Hanson."
Saku noted the pause before mentioning the last name. So, Kylie was still being hopeful (and otherwise hinting) that she and his Dad should get married. Stupid girl.
"When ya coming back home?"
"I'll come back in a bit, and Kylie and Brock will probably come home tomorrow. Kylie's fine, by the way."
Saku chuckled. Like he cared.
