The Adventures of Rogue: Trading Fuzzles

Written by Michelle

Rogue

Rogue stepped into the secret room of a local pet shop. It seemed that this shop was run by a Dathrian, who sold fuzzles and ka'millians 'on the side', so to speak.

Rogue felt a little strange still about trading her baby fuzzles, and had 'spoken' to her adult ones about it, but they seemed rather easy going about it.

"Well," said the owner, "I'll let you look around for a bit. I'll be back down in a few."

"Okay," Rogue replied.

She opened up her fuzzle bag and let her fuzzles mingle with the ones for sale. Rogue had decided she wanted to try and get a partner for Zurina today, beyond that, well, there were ten baby fuzzles she could trade at any time. She thought maybe she would keep four of them and trade the other six for... well, she wasnt entirely sure. She didn't have a need to trade them for different fuzzles.

She was down there for about half an hour when the owner returned.

"How's it going?" he asked.

"Oh, good," Rogue replied. "Zurina seems to like your green and yellow one over there."

He nodded.

"You were going to trade one of yours for a partner?"

"Yes, Rusty," Rogue nodded, and gave her fuzzle a 'I'm going to miss you', look. "But he seems to get along with yours pretty well."

"And you had some four months old you wanted to trade?"

Rogue nodded.

"Anything in particular you wanted for them?"

"Good homes, I guess," she replied. "In trade? I don't know. I'd feel kinda weird accepting cash, but I don't know that there is anything else I require."

"Nothing wrong with taking cash," he assured her.

He then told her what he usually bought fuzzles for, and in the end Rogue traded Rusty for Zurina's partner, and the six fuzzles of Liberty's last littler. She had decided to keep Caleb and Azure's remaining four, just in case an opportunity for other trades came up later.

She gave the fuzzles an affectionate pat goodbye, and soon left. She decided to name the 'bright-yellow with forest-green stripes' fuzzle "Verdae".
