"SAM DROP!" Dean yelled, skidding to a halt and aiming his Taurus.
Sam fell to his stomach before hearing three gunshots fire off, followed by a heavy thud. He looked up to his right to see the werewolf gagging for life.
"Hey! Hey," Sam scooted over, holding the guy's head a his teeth and eyes reverted back, "it's ok, it's ok..."
"Where a-a-am I?" the scared man stuttered.
"It's ok, just let go. Let go," Sam said in a soothing tone, watching as the light faded from the man's eyes.
"Sam?" came Dean's stern voice.
Sam looked up to see Dean looking over him. Turning to see where he was looking, he froze. Another werewolf stood over him, growling. The only thing stopping it from attacking, the sight of Dean's handgun.
"Back up Sammy," Dean insisted.
"I don't think so," Sam shook his head, reaching back to pull his own pistol from his belt.
At the first sign of movement the werewolf lunged, and two from each of the brothers' guns sent it into the conrete just ike the first.
"How many of these damn things are out here?" Dean scowled, walking over to help pull Sam up.
"I don't know," Sam shook his head, "but there's gotta be more. Tess said the leader was female, so thse guys are just casualties."
"Great," Dean shrugged, "and we're running out of time. The full moon's tomorrow night."
Faith
"I don't think so, buddy."
Faith ran after the werewolf and leapt, catching it around the neck and she closed her eyes for a second as it ran through the bushes to end up in the middle of a road.
The werewolf growled and tried to shake her off, but she held firm with one hand, the other reaching behind her for her knife.
"Hold still, will you? I'm less impressive when I'm struggling," she told it, thinking she was alone.
She let go of the werewolf and it staggered for a moment, and she charged at it again, knife slashing through it's neck. It fell and she stood over it, watching the light fade from it's eyes.
Dean & Sam
Dean and Sam were standing silently, watching the spectacle. When Faith finally stood up after killing the beast, Dean's eyes widened.
"Faith?" he looked as confused as he sounded.
"What are you doing in Arkansas?"
Faith
Faith turned in surprise, a small smile slipping onto her face.
"Heard of some werewolves in the area, thought I'd better come see what that was about..."
She looked briefly at Sam, then back at Dean.
"What are you guys doing here?"
Dean & Sam
Dean raised an eyebrow, then looked back at the three messy corpses behind them.
"Same," he shrugged.
"Been doing some research and seems there's a few of the critters around. Someone's been busy around these parts. And we still haven't found the bitch that started it all."
"Dean."
"What? Bitch is a female dog. They're dogs."
Sam just rolled his eyes and slipped his gun back into his belt.
Faith
Faith watched Sam's hands for a second, then shook her head a little.
"Two more nights to find the nest anyway. I have a friend who's sorta an ex werewolf and he's given me some pretty rough ideas of where to start looking."
She paused.
"We could work together."
Dean & Sam
Sam's eyebrows rose.
"Sounds good," Dean grinned, as Sam frowned a little.
"What kind of intel do you have so far?"
"You have a friend that's a werewolf?" Sam asked disbelievingly.
Faith
Faith noticed Sam's facial expression and she laughed a little, her eyes twinkling mischeiviously.
"It takes some getting used to, but yeah. He went to Tibet and learned how to control it, so he's considered an ex-werewolf."
She turned back to Dean.
"I have a rough idea of where it might be, maps and stuff. And a rough idea of how hard it'll be to get to her."
Dean & Sam
Sam made no attempt to hide the sudden death glare he was giving Dean.
"Sounds good," Dean smiled, but not without a gulp even though he was tryng to ignore his brother.
"Where's your base?"
Faith
"Pretty much got into town about an hour ago, so... right now? My car."
Faith shrugged a little, noting the look Sam was giving Dean but chalking it up to an earlier argument she may have interrupted.
"I wanted to fight first. So, I should probably find a motel or something. Where are you guys at?"
Dean & Sam
"Motel a few blocks over. You can stay with us free of charge if you want," Dean offered.
"You know what? You guys chill," Sam started backing off a little, "I'm gonna scope around here a bit more."
Sam turned and walked away. Dean took a moment to look awkward before shrugging it off.
"Or we could do something better with our time," he winked.
Faith
Faith watched Sam leave and hoped he was going to be alright. He'd looked a little... melancholy, for lack of a better word.
"Possibilities are endless," she said, returning her attention to Dean.
Dean
"I'll lead the way," Dean grinned, slipping his gun away and taking out the impala keys.
He found his way back to the car, drove around to find hers, then led her back to the motel.
Once inside, he pushed his luggage off his bed and took off his leather jacket.
Faith
Faith stood in the doorway for a moment, before kicking the door closed behind her and slipping her jacket off.
She approached Dean and pushed him back down against the bed, climbing on top of him and bending to kiss him.
Dean
Dean kicked off his boots and went for his belt, quickly pulling the gun and a knife out and throwing them aside.
Leaning up to kiss into her more, he managed to pull his shirt from his shoulders before quickly slipping his wifebeater over his head.
Faith
Faith rolled over beside Dean, breathing heavily.
"Well, that wasn't disappointing."
Dean
"No, it wasn't," Dean agreed, shifting so there was more room for her.
He hesitated, then turned to face her.
"Want to go another round or are you up for something to eat? They have great ice cream here."
Faith
"Food first, then sex. Then possibly food with sex."
Faith sat up and reached for her clothes.
Dean
Dean shrugged.
"It's been a while, but I'm up for it."
He stretched his arms out, then sat up and reached for his jeans.
"I hope they have some good chocolate."
