Dean & Sam

"Well that was a big fat waste of a trip," Dean muttered as they left the police station.

"We couldn't have known," Sam insisted, "even Bobby was set on this one. Could have fooled a pro."

"And apparently it did."

Sam sighed when they got to the bottom of the stairs.

"So what do you want to do now?"

"Eat," Dean insisted, "I'm starved. Think I saw a food joint two blocks back. Come on."

Faith and Angel

Faith kicked at a rock on the path while she was walking, phone against her ear, listening to Angel talk about some strange activity that was happening around her part of the country.

"Alright, but after that, I'm heading back to LA for some quality sleep. Keep me posted. See ya."

She flipped her phone shut and continued walking, barely registering that there were two familiar faces coming out of a police station.

Dean & Sam

Dean was leading Sam down the street when he stopped suddenly and turned.

"Faith?" he frowned.

Sam's eyebrows rose as he turned to see the person that had walked past them. He's barely even noticed.

Faith

Faith turned around, only a little startled that anyone knew her in Tulsa.

"Yeah?"

Her eyes washed over the boys and she grinned faintly.

"Hey."

Dean & Sam

"Heeeey," Dean grinned, walking back to her.

Sam opened his mouth to say something, but closed it and followed reluctantly.

"What brings you to tornado county, slayer?" Dean asked, fixing the sleeve of his suit.

Faith

"Christmas with the ex."

Faith shrugged slightly.

"Awkward, but it probably could've been worse. What about you?"

Dean & Sam

"Ah nuthin' much. Heard there was a shapeshifter problem in the area. I guess sometimes it really is just twins, even if the poor son of a bitch didn't know he had one. It's happened before," Dean shrugged.

Sam was just standing awkwardly off to the side.

"So hey, we were just about to catch a bite to eat. Wanna join?"

Faith

Faith checked her watch.

"Yeah, I have time before I have to motor... sure I'm not intruding?"

She glanced at Sam for a second and met his eyes, before looking back to Dean.

Dean & Sam

Sam gave a small smile, but not in time for her to see it.

"Nah no way!" Dean insisted, "we'd be glad to have the company. We're brothers. We're sick of each other."

Sam just rolled his eyes and continued down the street.

"Coming?" Dean indicated for her to follow.

Faith

"Hopefully."

Faith brushed her hand across Dean's arm and pulled him aside, her lips almost touching his ear.

"Why don't we skip over dinner and go straight for dessert?"

Dean

A smirk crossed Dean's face.

"Where do you wanna go?" he asked, starting to loosen his tie.

Faith

"Dean," Faith said, her eyes twinkling mischieviously as she pulled him away.

"Sometimes, you just have to have faith."

Dean & Sam

"You know I never did get to ask if that was your real name," Dean mused, following obediently.

Meanwhile Sam had turned around to find them both gone.

"Dean?" he called out.

After a moment, he just shook his head and kept walking.

Faith

"Yeah, except Davies wasn't really my last name. It's Lehane."

Faith spotted the alley first and led him through it, wondering briefly if Sam would be alright.

Dean

"So the truth comes out," Dean grinned.

He grabbed her arm and pushed her back against the alley wall, leaning in to kiss her deeply.

Faith

Faith half laughed before Dean's lips met her own, and from there, she wrapped herself around him, one hand wandering down his chest.

She really hoped that Sam hadn't decided to come looking for them.

Dean

Around ten minutes later, Dean was backed up against a dumpster, wondering whether or not he could be bothered doing up his fly.

"Damn you leaving school so early," he breathed, deciding to do up his pants after all.

"If I'd had that going into college, I would have known better come April."

Faith

Faith grinned and pulled her shirt back down over her chest.

"Flattery will get you everywhere."

Dean

"Well in that case," Dean grinned, wiping his face.

"You're the best I've had in a good few years. We should make it a habit. That is, if you want."

His eyebrows rose expectantly.

Faith

Faith looked him up and down, a cheeky smile on her face.

"Sounds good to me."

She buttoned her pants and then started off in the opposite direction.

"You better go make sure your brother is alright."

Dean

"Eh. He can take care of himself. I need food. I'll see you around," Dean called after her, before buttoning up his shirt and walking back onto the street.
