Bobby lay back against one of the beds in the medlabs, watching Hank lazily.
"Not to detract from the holiday spirit, but you look tired, my friend," Hank observed, peering at Bobby over the top of his glasses.
"I'll be alright, just a busy day today," Bobby replied, shrugging Hank's concern off.
"You are taking it easy, I trust?"
Bobby smiled faintly. "Yes. And I think... if I can't shake this flu, then I'll probably defer next semester."
"I think that would be for the best." Hank turned in his chair to look at his friend. "And your marital situation? Have you given that more thought?"
There was an unusually long silence from the younger mutant.
"I... I don't know, I'm not smart enough to make this sort of decision by myself," Bobby said, shrugging.
Hank saw beneath the flip exterior. "I am not going to lecture or judge you, and I am not going to convince you to do that which you do not want to do, but Bobby, I know you are anything but stupid. And I know you can make this decision, or indeed, have already made it."
"I'm not going to go back," Bobby finally said, after another long silence.
"Then I will support you in this," Hank replied, smiling kindly. "If this is what you truly want."
"Thank you, Hanky."
"You are most welcome, dear friend."
