It's the end of the world as we know it...

"Rise up, my friends!" Bellerophan exclaimed, his eyes glowing. "It's time to come play! The Gods banished you, but it is I, Bellerophon, who will set you free again!"

Airlia reared up on her hind legs, scared by the lights and the explosions.

"My lovely, you may."

He waved his hand at the Gargoyles and smiled evilly.

Airlia shifted back to human with a flick of her tail. She stood from where she was crouching, standing tall, eyes black as she watched the scene.

"Lovely?"

"Wolfram and Hart," Airlia replied without flinching. "You want to end the world, you start with a gateway."

Alarms were ringing all over Wolfram and Hart as the Gargoyles sped towards the building.

"How long will this shield hold them?" Faith asked.

"Hopefully long enough for us to get ready," Angel replied, barely looking out the window. He was organising the weapons and the fights in the building.

"Da?!" Serafina came charging in, Tru in tow.

"It's her, isn't it?" Tru asked.

"I'd say so," Wesley answered, strapping another knife to his belt. "Legend has it that the pegasus was bore from Medusa."

"Great, so how do we kill them?" Faith asked.

"Beat the sh!t out of them until they crack and fall apart," Gunn piped up. "They're stone, right? So our only chance is to make them break."

"Then that's the plan. Sera, Tru, I want you two inside," Angel ordered.

"Da!" Serafina protested.

"Ma!" Tru cried at the same time.

"Listen to Angel," Faith told them. "We'll call you if need be. But I don't want either of you out in this."

"Time to play," Airlia said, her hair twisting and blowing in the wind, forming the shape of snakes.

Bellerophon smiled at her, then turned back to the task at hand.

"With no one left on Earth, how will you ever be praised?" he asked mockingly, looking up at Olympus.

~*~*~*~

Faith ducked, hitting the ground and rolling away from the stone gargoyle that had been swooping at her.

"She's playing possum!" she yelled to Angel.

"What?" Angel yelled back, twisting his sword up and plunging it through a gargoyle.

"She's stalling us," Faith answered, kicking out. "Think about it, she's blocked the sun so you can play, she's sent these things and she isn't here. She's somewhere else. She's ending it somewhere else."

"How do you know?" Angel asked.

"Because it's what I would do... duck!" Faith punched the gargoyle and then twisted away. "Ok, ow."

"Then where..." Angel trailed off, distracted by fighting.

"Gunn! Can you go check in with the girls?" Faith shouted.

"ON IT!" Gunn yelled, weaving and dodging gargoyles in order to get back inside the building. He charged through, heading for Wesley office, where Serafina and Tru were watching for any signs from Airlia.

"Anything?" he asked breathlessly.

"Not ye... wait!" Serafina said, eyes moving rapidly over the screen. "She's... there's been an explosion here that looks like her work."

Tru pointed it out to Gunn. "She's in Greece."

"Ok. You call Zac and let him know that it's all coming to a head."

And with that, Gunn ran out to let the others know.

Tru picked up the phone and dialled her father's number.

Zac

Zac had just laid down in bed when the phone rang. He sighed and picked it up.

"Hello?" he asnwered wearily.

Tru

"Hi Dad, sorry to ring so late..."

Tru bit her lip.

Zac

"That's okay, honey," Zac replied, stifling a yawn. "What's up?"

Beeeeedddd.

Tru

"Um... well... Lia's ending the world. Like... now."

Tru shrugged slightly.

Zac

"Oh," Zac replied while his tired brain tried to process that. "Well, yes I suppose that is important enough to ring up late about. What's happening?"

Tru

"Well," Tru started, taking a deep breath. "Mom and Angel are outside fighting Gargoyles. Gargoyles that Lia sent to attack them. Meanwhile, she's ending the world in Greece. Mount Olympus, to be precise. So, we're organising teleporters and portals and stuff. And yeah."

Zac

"Okay," Zac replied. "Did you want me to come? If so, someone's going to have to cast an 'anti-fatigue' spell on me, because I'm exhausted."

And as if to prove the point, although the timing was purly conincidental, Zac yawned.

Tru

"Well... I mean, it's going to be mostly fighting..."

Tru didn't know a nice way to tell him that she was probably a better fighter than him.

Zac

"Been there, done that, got the t-shirt," Zac replied. "Did Faith ever tell you I went patrolling with her? Wait... did you say gargoyles? Gargoyles are real?"

He shook himself.

"I shouldn't be surprised."

Tru

"Yeah, and they're stone, so it's mostly Mom and Angel tricking them into hitting each other, or the ground. Because I think Mom might've broken her hand when she punched it."

Tru made a face.

"She won't let me go out there though. But we'll be heading to Greece, we're going to need all we can get to stop Lia, I think."

Zac

"Okay, well, I guess I'd better get myself sorted then. When are you planning on going to Greece?" Zac asked.

There was no way he was going to miss this. Not if there was any way he could help Airlia, whom he thought of as a daughter.

Tru and Gunn

"We're heading off as soon as we can," Tru said. "Probably within the next hour, I think they want to get rid of more of the Gargoyles."

Gunn headed back outside to help the fight.

Zac

"Okay, well, I'm going to get some sleep. I'll join you as soon as I can. Ike and Tay can cover for me," Zac told her.

And yawned. Again.

Tru and Serafina

"K. Bye."

Tru hung up and turned to Serafina.

"Guess we should go."
