The class was outside this day, at the targets used for archery practice.
"Okay girls," Sarah said. "You have three arrows each. You wait for me to say 'begin', and you shoot your arrows. When I say 'stop', stop shooting. I don't care if you still have one on your bow do not shoot. At all. When I say 'all clear', you retrive your arrows and return. Take your time, this is not a speed shooting competition - at least, not today. Accuracy is more important. It also makes finding your arrows easier. Okay girls: Begin."
Illeanna pick up her bow and one of her arrows, lining things up as they had been taught. Aiming for the target was the easy part - especially with her advanced sight which gave her a slight edge. It was the technique, however, that she needed to learn.
Joni
Joni lined up her shot and fired. She managed to fire all three arrows, before Sarah said stop, but she didn't didn't get any bulls-eyes; She did get one arrow in the second ring and two in the third.
"How'd you do?" she sked Illeanna.
Illeanna
Illeanna sighed.
"One missed completely, one in the third and one in the first," she replied. "It harder than it looks, huh?"
