Zac stared at Isaac.
"You're insane," he declared.
"What now?" Isaac asked.
"You're nuts."
"I'm nuts?"
"Yes. You're completely nuts. I can't believe you're back with Nikki again. You date for a month, you break up for a month, you date for a month, you break up for two months, you date for two days, then you break up for two hours? Hello? These on/off relationships don't work. Seriously. You're worse than Faith and I."
"Zac, you were on and off with Faith, married and divorced in just over a year," Isaac pointed out. "And all becaus eyou kept cheating on her and having children with other women."
"That wasn't the only reason -"
"I hardly think my relationship with Nikki is quite in the same boat."
"Yes, well, I..." Zac looked over at Taylor. "Help me out here?"
Taylor
"No, it's not..." Taylor considered, "...yet. But you're sure heading down the right path. Next thing you know she'll be pregnant and the reason will be that you weren't together for that particular hour."
Isaac and Zac
"We're not that bad," Isaac replied.
"I believe the key word in that statement was 'yet'," Zac replied smugly. "Dude, seriously, brother to brother. Next time you break up with her - and there will be a next time - stay broken up. Okay?"
Isaac sighed.
Taylor
"I hate to say it - and boy, do I hate to say it - but I agree with Zac," Taylor pulled a face as if it were one of the hardest things he'd ever had to say.
Isaac and Zac
Isaac looked at his brothers, his eyes darting between their faces.
"Okay so Nikki's a little highly strung -"
"A little?" Zac repeated. "Hey, she wasn't voted 'Drama Queen' in high school for no reason."
Taylor
"Very true," Taylor nodding, munching on some toast.
Isaac and Zac
"Yeah, well, I really like her, okay?" Isaac frowned at them. "She's fun and exciting."
"And hot," Zac added.
"Yes, and hot. But that's not the reason -"
"See now, that's what we call denial. You think she's hot - and she is - but you don't want people to know that that's the real reason why you two keep getting back together. So you come up with all these other excuses."
Taylor
"Also true," Taylor added, pretending not to pay much more attention.
Isaac and Zac
"Look just... it's my life, okay? I'll date who I want. As many times as I want," Isaac said glaring at them.
"Okay," Zac replied. "But don't come running to me for sympathy when you break up again."
