There was a knock on the door. At first Nikki didn't hear it but walked over when she did, curious.
"Isaac?" she exclaimed. "What are you doing here?"
Crap, what if he bumped into her mark? Thank goodness he wasn't here right now but he was due back any time now... Fear then gave way to annoyance.
"What happened to those sluts you were with?"
"They're fans who have been following us around all tour," Isaac explained.
"And apparently joining you in the spa, playing adult games?"
"Hey, I was just being nice."
"Oh, is that what you call it?"
"Nikki -"
"Now I know why you didn't want me to come with your on tour."
"Nikki, as I recall you were working. Y'know, you're own job? Modelling?"
"Isaac, I don't care. Go back to your..." the she frowned and gave him an accusing stare. "Hey, how'd you find out what room I was in? I don't recall telling you."
"I umm," Isaac looked down at the floor. "I didn't actually. I only knew what floor you were on so..."
Nikki stared at him, then looked down the hall.
"You knocked on all those doors?"
"Uh huh."
"Just to find me?"
"And try to work things out," Isaac nodded empathically. "I know it must have looked bad, but I didn't know they were going to be there. Heck I didn't even know they were going to be with us all tour. I know how much it's costing us to do it, and we're doing it to earn money. I don't know how they're managing to do it."
"Rich parents?" Nikki suggested.
"Possibly."
They looked at each other for a moment.
"I know our afternoon got spoiled, ut I... did you want to maybe have dinner instead?"
Nikki paused and considered.
"Okay," she agreed finally. "But not in the hotel. There's a nice, english speaking restaurant nearby, go there?"
"Sure."
"I'll meet you in the lobby in ten, okay?"
"Okay. I'll be there."
He leant over to give her a kiss, and then departed. Nikki closed the door with a sigh of relief, partly because her makr hadn't shown up, and partly because they had worked things out.
Sort of.
Although Nikki felt she wouldn't feel very kindly towards any Hanson fans ever again.
