Cassie was on patrol with Armelle. They'd slayed a couple of vamps, hadn't seen too many out and about. However, Cassie was feeling very warm. She knew that sometimes slaying made you slightly horny, but this was more than usual.
"Hey, let's stop by the Watcher school before curfew," Cass suggested, wanting to visit her brothers. And Liam, she liked that boy. He was nice, and cute.
"Okay, sounds good to me," Armelle agreed. They went to the Watcher Academy and headed for the common room, where people usually hung out.
"Hey O!" she said, hugging her brother. Orion sniffed his sister, she smelled really good.
"Hey Cass," Liam said walking over.
"Hey Liam," she said, moving over to slap him five. He smelled so good. She was so warm and sweaty. Without really noticing she pressed herself right up next to Liam. he looked so. . . tasty. Her face was pressed by his neck.
Liam was surprised, but he wasn't really objecting. When she pressed into him, he instinctively wrapped his arms around her.
Draco was a little jealous of how close Liam was to his sister. What did he think he was doing? She belonged to them, not him. If she wanted to hug someone, she should be hugging him! He was her brother, not Liam.
"You smell so good," Cassie whispered to Liam, her voice husky. She found herself licking the side of his neck. "You taste good too."
She couldn't really stop herself. She kissed him on the mouth, pushing him against the back of the couch they were standing by.
Liam was shocked, but he kissed her back. Did she really want to make out in public, in front of everyone? Maybe he should stop her, but she was so strong.
"Um, Cassie," Armelle started. "This probably isn't the best time or place." Cassie lifted her head towards Armelle and actually hissed. Loudly. She went back to kissing Liam, while her brothers and friends looked on.
Saku
It was at around that point that Saku appeared on the scene in cat form. Hmm sweat. Armelle and Cassie had obviously just got back from slayer.
Yum. Cassie smelt particularily nice. He trotted over to her and rubbed himself against her legs.
Abruptly Saku leapt backward and shifted into human with a horrified look on his face. She was his cousin!
Armelle, Vampire Kitties, Declan and Liam
"Is this normal?" Armelle asked Declan, in relation to Cassie and Liam making out in public. "Cassie's never hissed at me before."
Declan shook his head. "I don't think they've even really kissed before, more than once or twice, and definitely not making out. And those two growling is not a good sign," he said, pointing to Orion and Draco who were, in fact, growling.
Cassie basically had Liam pissed, and was kissing him aggressively. Too aggressively. Liam was starting to get worried.
"Should we try to break them up?" Armelle asked.
Percy had just wandered over, in cat form, to see Liam making out with his sister, who smelled really good. But this was weird. They should not be making out in the middle of the common room. Liam had no right to force himself on his sister. Percy shifted into human form, and moved over to them. Before he really knew what he was doing, he punched Liam in the side of the head.
Cassie turned to her brother and literally threw him back, hissing again.
"Cassie, calm down," Armelle said.
Saku
Saku looked around desperately for something to grab onto and eventaully satisified himself by hiding behind Armelle and putting his arms around her waist.
"Hi," he said with false cheerfullness, trying very very hard to look away from Cassie.
Then, seeing Percy hit Liam, Saku swallowed, waved his hand, muttered a few words and a protective barrier fell between them.
Armelle, Vampire Kitties, Finola and Declan
Cassie was growling, but she couldn't move.
"Maybe someone should get a teacher," Orion suggested, worried. Declan rushed off to get his dad.
"I've never seen her like this before," Finola said, stepping in behind Armelle, who was preparing to take Cassie down, if need be.
"Neither have I," Armelle said. Even though cassie was only part cat, Finola was focusing her animal magic, to see if she could figure out what was going on.
"It's almost like. . ." Finola paused. "Oh my goodness! Is she going into Heat?!"
Orion sniffed. His sister was putting out so many pheremones. She smelled so good. He was slightly twitchy, and it looked like his brothers and cousin were too.
"I think she is," Orion said quietly.
"Cass," Draco said, "You need to calm down. You need to focus on the human part of your brain. It's just hormones. You're stronger than that," he gulped. "We all are."
Saku
Saku (who had let go of Armelle) now moved to the wall and pressed himself against it.
"I'm not supposed to be eyeing off my cousin!" Saku declared. "Someone hose her down or something. Oh... wait..."
He pointed his fingers at Cassie and used his hydrokinesis to send a stream of water in her direction. Then, after a second thought and a moments hesitation, decided to give himself a cold shower too.
Vampire Kitties, Armelle, WA folks
The cold water actually helped. Cassie no longer felt like her skin was on fire. She heard Draco talking to her and tried to focus. Why was she throwing herself at Liam? They weren't even dating, and they'd only kissed once! Now she was making out with him in public?
"Oh goddess," she whispered, trying to back away from Liam. The water, unfortunately made all her clothes cling to her, and she realized that everyone could now see everything. She felt so exposed. She started to shrink down to cat form.
"Cassie, please forgive me, but it's for your own good," Armelle said, as she hoisted the calico cat into her arms.
James Doyle rushed into the room.
"Is everything alright?" he asked, seeing one of the slayers holding a very drenched and shaking calico cat in her arms.
"I think Cassie's gone into Heat," Armelle said. "I'm gonna take her home now."
"Dad, I'm gonna go with them," Finola said. "I think having any boys around would be a very bad idea right now."
"It;s almost curfew," James said, "And I don't want you walking back alone. Either get one of the slayers to walk you back, or sleep there tonight," James said, and Finola nodded.
"I'll call when I get there." Finola walked besides Armelle who was carrying a shaking, wet, scared, cranky cat. Finola tried her best to use soothing magic on Cassie as they walked.

Okay, that was really, really bad," Orion said, curling up on a couch, his hands around his knees. "Ew." he shuddered. "Turned on by my sister. . . . . . EW." Orion just felt. . .dirty. Percy and Draco both felt the same way.
"Cats really do that in nature, don't they?" Declan said.
"Yeah, but those cats don't have the same human emotions and morals that we do. Ugh." Draco said. "I need a shower."

The girls walked onto the campus, and went toward the dorms. Cassie was starting to calm down and relax, since there weren't many male pheromone signatures around. She was still shaking, maybe when she got into her bed, she'd feel better.
Friday
"And that's another thing," Friday went on, fuming. "I renounce any responsbility anyone might like to put on my shoulders regarding Tiffany's safety. If that little twat -"
"I am not a twat!" Tiffany objected.
"You're a selfish, self serving bitch who needs to realise there's more to life than boys, make up and clothes! I can't believe you were so stupid as to befriend a vampire just because he was flirting with you. Hello? You're a freaking slayer! He was trying to lure you into a false sense of security so he could kill you, you stupid git!"
"That's a lie! He was not!"
"Girls," John Connor tried to cut in.
"How niave must you be if you actually believe that!"
"Slayers and vampires have worked out before!"
"Only between vampires who have souls!"
"He had a soul! I could see it in his eyes!"
"He was a souless vampire who wanted to kill you. How does this not compute?"
"Girls!" John practically shouted over the top of them.
Sometimes checking in the slayers after they came back from patrol was more trouble than it was worth. Abruptly the arrival of Armelle, Finola and Cassie in cat form took his attention. He frowned.
"Girls?" he asked, addressing them as Friday and Tiffany were silent.
Armelle, Cassie and Finola
As the approached the group, Cassie started to warm up again. Mmm. Mr. Connor smelled nice.
"Cassie's not doing to great," Armelle said.
"She's gone into Heat," Finola explained. "I've been trying to calm her down, with magic, and I think we need to take her inside." Cassie was getting agitated again.
"Cass, I'll put you down, in your bedroom. Calm down or we're going to have to drench you again." Cassie settled down a bit.
Friday
"Heat?" John repeated with a raise of his eyebrows.
"Do you need a hand?" Friday asked.
Armelle and Finola
"Sure," Armelle said. "I think we need to get Cassie into her room, and keep all the guys away."
Finola kept focusing her animal magic on Cassie, trying to at least keep her calm.
Friday
John gestured for them to go on ahead, worried for Cassie, but also a little relieved that Friday's tirade had gotten cut off.
"Now, Tiffany," he began as Friday followed the girls to Cassie's room.
"When did this happen? While you were patrolling?" Friday asked.
Armelle and Cassie
"Yeah," Armelle said. "You know how slaying can always get a girl a little turned on, it seemed like Cassie got pushed into overdrive. We went to the Watcher school, and she practically jumped Liam." Finola kept focusing her magic on Cass as they went into the dorms.
"Hit the showers, Cass," Armelle directed. "Friday, you and Finola want to wait out here, just in case? I'm gonna run down to get Willow." Armelle set Cass down outside her bathroom and Cass shifter human. "Yes. Cold shower. Good idea."
Friday
"Rightio then," Friday said.
She sat on a nearby chair, put her feet up and then promptly contemplated food.
Cassie, Armelle and Willow
Cass grabbed a clean towel and went into the shower. She kept thinking about Liam. She had such a good time dancing with him at the dance, they'd gotten so close, and he was such a good dancer, and smelled so. . .tasty. Cass felt a spark of electricity shudder through her body, and she turned the water colder.

"Poor Cass," Finola said to Friday. "I do not envy that."

Armelle hurried over to get Willow and let her know what was going on. She knocked on the door, and waited for a response.
Willow had sensed the spike in power, but she wasn't certain what it was. She opened the door to find Armelle on her doormat.
"Mel? What's wrong?"
"Cass has gone into Heat."
"Oh shiitake mushrooms, in gravy, that's not so great. Where is she now?"
"Taking a cold shower. Finola Doyle & Friday are watching her. Well, not watching, watching, but waiting outside the door. Finola has animal magic, and she's been trying to help keep Cassie calm. I suppose Day turning her into a boy would be a bad thing, right?" Armelle anwered
"Yeah, her body has to sweat through it. I'd better go check on her then," Willow replied, heading over to the dorm.
Friday
"Yep," Friday agreed. "And we think having a period is bad."
For some reason this whole thing made her think of the television show Dark Angel. Possibly because the second episode was called "heat". She wondered if it worked the same way.
