Concern

Bobby

Bobby rubbed his eyes tiredly, still looking over his notes.

"Bobby," Hank said, yawning. "I think it is time you got some rest."

"Just a few more minutes," Bobby replied. "I just don't think I have it yet."

But even as he said it, he put his pen down and lifted his hand to rub his eyes again.

Hank reached out and grabbed his arm, stopping him. The older mutant inspected his hand for a moment, then released it.

"Bobby, dear friend," Hank started softly. "Have you been under a lot of stress lately?"

"Well, there was the incident tonight," Bobby answered, after thinking a moment. "And Julie and I have been fighting a bit lately, why?"

"You just... you look a little worn out," Hank told him. He was having his suspicions about Bobby's health, and with the Legacy scare he'd had, it was not something that should be taken lightly. Stress, even a tiny amount, could take it's toll on Bobby's body so early in the recovery process. It had been just over a year, and after the damage the virus had done to him, it was any wonder that he'd been so active.

"There's just been a lot on," the younger mutant said. "I'm fine, really."

Hank eyed him slightly. "I would feel better if you stayed here, at least for tonight. I don't really want you driving, not when you're this tired."

Bobby nodded. "Alright, but I know you just miss me and want to spend more time with me."

"Ah, dear friend, you have seen through my charade!" Hank's eyes twinkled, but behind the mischief, there was concern for his friend. "I want to take some blood too, just to make sure nothing is wrong."

Bobby held out his arm. "Prod away, Hanky."
