"Hunter! You checked your email yet?"
"Nope."
"Can you?"
"I'm a little -"
"This is important!"
Hunter sighed and headed to the nearest terminal, and checked into his email. Just as he was opening Kate's email, there was an alert on the bridge. Oliver looked up, and trotted over, phone still to his ear.
"Report?"
"Weapons fire on Control 3."
"Oliver!" Hunter yelped. "I got Kate's email!"
"Terminator assassin?"
"Yep. This is very bad Oli, I'm reading through the specs now."
"How do you destroy it?" Oliver ignored the looks he was getting from the others.
"Neural processor. It's suggested that severing the heck should do the trick, but Oli! It can shape shift."
"Can you as a technokinetic hack into it and shut it down that way?"
"Theorectially. But I should get help."
"Forward me the email."
"On it."
The boys hung up. Oliver waited a moment, then checked his email - he spotted the email just as Leroy entered.
"Oli, what's going on?"
"Weapons fire in Control Three. Uncle, is a terminator assassin - one of those Skynet types. We got the heads up from Kate Conner."
Leroy looked appropriately alarmed and looked at the opem email on the terminal Oliver was using. He then leant over, made a copy of the file and posted it on the public terminals. Then he hit the comms for the station.
"This is the station Commander, Leroy Brown. All personal are to report to their stations or to their quarters immediately," he said. "This is not a drill. All Security and YIRAAS Agents are to check the specs on the public terminals now. Repeat, this is not a drill."
He then pressed a couple of buttons so that his message would repeat itself until further notice. Alarms blared throughout the station and everyone hurried off to wherever they had to be.
Meanwhile, Hunter was sending his mind through the computer system to find the terminator. He soon found her. He hesitated for a moment, then tried to get into her system.
"Hmm, Skynet's managed to do some technokinetic shielding. It'll take a bit to get through."
*I'll let everyone know.*
"Tanya?"
*Someone has to keep proper communications going between parties. What else are telepaths for?*
Tanya, and other telepaths, kept their minds out for the thoughts of the various people at work and constantly shared information.
They found they were able to defend themselves all right, and before too long a couple of metalkinetics were able to rip the terminator apart. Then the technokinetics were able to get past the shielding and hack into it.
Much later, Oliver wrote an email back to Kate:
Kate,
Not long after you called, the terminator was made herself known. She killed a number of personal before we were able to put her down. At the time, it just seemed like she was going after everyone, but then out technos found out something interesting in her databanks. I've attached what we found, but in a nutshell, she had certain primary targets on the station - the deaths of everyone else was only her secondary goal. Primary targets? Uncle Leroy, and everyone involved in taking her down last August. Let me tell you, Hunter was rather freaked out to find himself on that list! I believe the death toll was minimised - 23 dead, 52 injured, including 2 of her 'primary targets'. Uncle Leroy, myself and Hunter are all fine.
