Christian gazed around calmly as he walked through the nerve centre of Steel's underground communications base. It wasn't long before he was spotted.
"Chris!" he heard a call.
Chloe came marching towards him.
"What are you doing here?"
"I just came for some help," he shrugged, moving his sunglasses onto his head.
"Wow, your eye is..."
"I know," Christian murmured, "I need a list of all the aliens YIRAAS has a death warrant on. Photo I.D."
"Sure. Most are on the website..." Chloe thought for a moment, before going to tap a man at a computer on the shoulder.
"Yes?"
"Dale, can you print off the profiles of every alien the YIRAAS has a death warrant on for me?"
"Sure."
"You'll have them in a moment," Chloe insisted.
"Great," Christian cracked his knuckles.
"Am I aloud to ask what they're for?" she looked curious.
Christian hesitated, as if deciding whether or not to tell her.
"I've been out of the loop for a long time," he admitted finally.
"This is basically a way for me to catch up with some friends."
"And?" Chloe gestured.
"And I'm sure neither Craig nor Tanya would mind if I went on a hunt with some of these guys as the prey," Christian brushed over, eyeing off Dale as he stood and went to the printer.
Chloe nodded.
"Ok. By the way, Taylor called the other day."
"Yeah?" his eyebrows rose.
"Yeah. They think Tad's been trying to get information from them about you. He doesn't want you to go around there anymore."
Christian almost snorted.
"It's serious," Chloe insisted, "Steel called him again soon after and they even think he might be reporting to someone other than Tanya. And he's apparently been eavesdropping whenever you've come around or you've come up in conversation."
"Are you sure?" Christian frowned.
Chloe nodded, and he sighed.
"I've been wanting to do away with that guy for a while," he almost groaned, "I just wish they'd let me."
"If you need to contact any of the Hansons you'll just have to come through us," Chloe shrugged, "that's really all that's changing."
"Thanks for telling me," Christian nodded, snatching the papers Dale was about to hand Chloe.
He began to look down them as Dale went back to work.
"Ray still has a death warrant on him?" Christian chuckled, "I haven't seen him in years. I think he was the only person to ever give me a Christmas present..."
"Not meaning to disrupt anything," Chloe insisted, "but perhaps you should take this elsewhere? Let us know how you go."
"Will do. Thanks again," Christian saluted.
He turned on his heel and left, leaving Chloe sighing to herself.
