So, what seems to have been bothering you?

Written by Michelle and AiMsTeR

Isaac

Isaac was sitting in the waiting room with Taylor and Tad - their reluctant bodyguard now permanent. It was to be Isaac's first therapy session and he was rather nervous about it. He tapped his foot on the floor. He wished it was over so he could go home.

Tad looked at Isaac and sighed. Isaac noticed his look.

"What?"

"You were moving your chair telekinetically. Towards the door I might add."

"Oh."

Isaac could see why they had Tad staying with them. His power of Disruption was proving rather useful counteracting his lack on control over his power.

Taylor

"It's ok Ike," Taylor leant over and rubbed his arm gently.

"It's not too bad. I should know. You'll feel a lot better afterward."

Isaac

"Yeah... probably..." Isaac replied.

Soon thereafter two people emerged from the office - the psychiatrist and her last patient.

"Okay," she said. "Isaac Hanson?"

Isaac reluctantly got up.

"That's me," he said, stepping over to her.

"Hi Isaac," she said. "Please, follow me."

He followed her into the office.

Taylor

Taylor looked across at Tad with a frown.

"Don't you think you should be in there?" he insisted, "it's the one place he most likely going to lose control."

Isaac

"She's an empath," Tad replied in a bored voice. "And she's used to dealing with this kind of thing. Both she and Isaac will be fine."

**********

"Where do you want to begin?"

"I... I don't really know..." Isaac admitted.

"Well, how about you tell me about what happened last Saturday?"

Taylor

"We'll see..." Taylor murmured, rubbing his hands together.

Just minutes later, he stood from his chair.

"I have to go outside for a while. I'll be back soon."

Isaac

Tad supposed he should follow Taylor. But decided he couldn't be bothered moving from his chair. This was a pathetic assignment.

Isaac was well into a telling of what had happened.

"I just didn't know what I was doing. Not really."

Taylor

Taylor almost snorted when there was no reaction, then headed for the door. He made his way outside and around the corner a little before pulling out his phone. He found Tanya's direct number and dialled.

And waited for an answer.

Isaac and Tanya

"But other than Ashley, you didn't hurt anyone."

"Bit of a miracle that."

"You sure? Perhaps you were more in control than you give yourself credit for."

**********

"Hello?" Tanya asked, answering the phone.

Taylor

"Hi Tanya, it's Taylor..." Taylor began, hiding the scorn in his voice.

"This... these arrangements really aren't working out. I mean Tad does nothing and he's driving us crazy."

Tanya

"Ahh, yes well," and Tanya checked her notes. "Oh... yeah, apparently he does have a bit of a... Tad's like that. You can understand him not liking to be away from his family indefinitely, surely? Just give him some time to settle in."

Taylor

"More time?" Taylor raised his eyebrows.

"He's been here four days straight. He's driving me up the wall. And I feel like if I lose it again it's going to be because he provoked it. And I mean I'm not... that afraid or anything, but if he even touched me with his power I wouldn't know it. I am defenceless against this guy."

Tanya

"Isn't that the point?" Tanya asked. "If you should lose it - and I hope you don't - then Tad can prevent you from hurting others, without getting himself hurt in the process. However, I'm sorry that's he's driving you crazy. I will poke around a bit more and see who else I can find, but I only have so much pull. And even then there's no guarrantee that the next guy will be any better."

Taylor

"Tanya. I am that close to losing it right this instant and I just walked out. He didn't even blink. I could be off killing someone right now for all he knew."

Taylor looked back at the door, then leant back against the wall and rubbed his face.

Tanya

Tanya paused.

"He's not watching you? Is he watching Isaac?" she asked tersely.

Taylor

"No he's not," Taylor almost said between his teeth.

"I told him he should go in with him but he didn't. Ike's in with the counsellor and he's just sitting in the waiting room doing absolutely nothing."

Tanya

Tanya pursed her lips.

"I'll talk to him," she said. "I'll get it trhough his thick head that he's there to do a job and that's to be keeping an eye on you, not to be driving you guys crazy."

Taylor

"Thankyou," Taylor said firmly.

"And I hope you can get something done about it. For our sake."

Tanya

"I'll do my best. See you later, Taylor," and Tanya hung up.

She then dialed Tad's number.

"What in hell do you think you're doing?" she asked the moment he picked it up.

"Excuse me?"

"You're supposed to be watching the Hanson boys."

"I am."

"Uh huh. Taylor's elsewhere and Isaac's in therapy. Neither brother in in the same room with you. So what in hell do you think you're doing?"

"Tanya, this is such a -"

"I really don't care what you think of this assignment, Tad. You will conduct yourself properly. You will stop giving the boys a hard time. You will keep a proper eye on them like you're supposed to. And you won't try to get yourself off this assignment by behaving badly like a child. Is that understood?"

Tad was silent for a moment.

"Yes," he said sourly.

"Ahem? What was that I said about behaving like a child?"

Tad sighed.

"Yes Tanya, I understand."

"Good. Because if there's any more trouble out of you, mark my words I can come up with much worse things for you to be doing than watching Isaac and Taylor Hanson!"

And Tanya hung up.

Taylor

Taylor hesitated for a moment after Tanya hung up, just leaning against the wall for a few minutes.

After some time he checked his watch, then decided he'd better head back in. He headed for the door and made his way inside.

Isaac

Tad gave Taylor a sour look as he re-entered. Not long thereafter, Isaac and the psychiatrist entered the waiting room.

"Well, Isaac, I think we've covered good ground today. Same time next week?"

"Sure."

"Okay, I'll see you then," she nodded to him and checked her clipboard. "Ellen Harris?"

Isaac walked over to Taylor and Tad.

Taylor

When Taylor saw Isaac emerge, he went to meet him halfway.

"How'd it go?" he asked, giving him a hug for support.

Isaac

Isaac hugged Taylor back.

"Oh good," he said. "Got some stuff off my chest. I know she had to calm me down a couple of times though..."

He gave a rueful smile.

Taylor

"It's a start," Taylor shrugged, letting his brother go.

"Next time I might come in with you if that's alright."

Isaac

Isaac nodded.

"Sure," he said.

Tad rolled his eyes - although he at least turned his head away so they didn't see it.

"So," Isaac went on. "Shall we go?"

Taylor

Taylor glared at the wall as he felt the pheremones Tad was giving off.

"Yeah, let's get out of here," he insisted, and put his hand on Isaac's shoulder indicating for him to lead the way to the door.

Isaac

"Alrighty," Isaac said.

He walked through the front door and headed out to the car, with Tad tagging on behind.
