Leroy was helping Oliver pack his things when Tate returned from her meeting.
"How'd it go?" Leroy asked.
"We're going to Australia," Tate said.
"Australia?" Oliver replied. "I thought... I thought..."
"Yeah, there was talk about going to Japan, but they seem to think that Australia is a better bet. You know, because of their ties to England. There's hope that, being part of the monarchy, they would be more inclined to follow their example."
"Ahh I see."
"Well, I'm sure you'll do great," Leory said encouragingly.
"Yeah... what are you two doing?"
"Oli's decided to move out - he's going to share an apartment with Yvette."
"Aww."
"Oh shush," Oliver replied.
"Oh well, good, because for a moment then I thought you were packing for me."
"Ha!" Leroy scoffed. "Sure you did."
Tate grinned.
"Caught."
"But when you do have to pack, I'll help you then too, if you want. There isn't an amplifier in Australia."
"There isn't an amplifier at all in the southern hemisphere. And they can't decide where to put it either," Tat shook her head.
"I know," Leroy nodded. "Perth has the higher alien population, but Sydney is more central. And we can't just put one in the middle of the country."
"Why not put one in both?" Oliver asked.
"Well, I'm trying to get the council to agree to that, but some people who shall remain nameless have the attitude of 'why should Australia have two when Canada doesn't even have one yet and the States only had one," Leroy rolled his eyes. "What they don't seem to acknowledge is that we are working on one for Canada, and having said that, North America has way more teleporters than Australia."
"Then how can the amplifers be used if they don't have teleporters?"
"They have teleporters, just not as many, so they don't have a teleportation network like we have here."
"Ahh."
"Well, we'll figure something out."
"That's good," Tate said. "Because I don't like taking planes."
