Julie looked at her watch again. Surely she should be here by now? She tapped her for impatiently, waiting as people started filing down the exit.
And waitied.
The numbers of people coming increased.
She kept waiting.
Julie shifted her weight irritably, and then, at long last, she saw her.
"Friday!" she cried.
Friday waved and pused her way through the crowd to her friend.
"Hi!" Friday said, giving her a hug.
Julie hugged back, then gave her a teasing grin.
"I hope your power's under control now, and I'm not going to end up with identical boy/girl twins again."
Friday gave a bashful smile.
"Aww... I didn't mean it," she said. "And I haven't had a slip in ages."
"Good," and Julie gave her another hug. "I'm so glad you're here!"
"I'm glad I am too. Although you realise I consider it my duty to Australianise all you Americans. Or at least confuse you with my Aussie slang."
"Of course," Julie giggled.
"And speaking of twins," Friday looked down at B'Elanna and Tom who were in their stroller. "Wow, aren't they grown?"
"Have you even seen them since they were born?"
"Umm, good question..." Friday thought for a moment. "Actually, I might not have... I don't remember."
Julie giggled.
"Well, now we know you have. B'E, Tom, this is your Auntie Friday."
"I'm and Aunt, am I?"
"Yes. You and Rogue are the closest things to sisters I have. Therefore you're their Aunt."
"Okay," Friday giggled.
"Do you have everything?"
"Yep," and Friday patted the trolley she had been pushing, full of bags.
"Okay, let's go then," and Julie, pushing the stroller, lead the way to the car.
They unloaded both stroller and trolley, paid the parking fee, and drove to Julie and Bobby's apartment.
"You sure Bobby won't mind?" Friday asked on the way.
"Oh, you're only staying a couple of days before you go to Cleveland. Cleveland," Julie snickered. "Of all the places..."
"Apparently there's a Hellmouth there," Friday shrugged.
"Yes but... Cleveland?"
"What's wrong with Cleveland? Seriously, everyone bags it out," Friday paused. "And New Jersey. And people from Utah. I mean, why don't you pick on people from, I dunno, Oklahoma?"
"Because that's where I was born."
"Oh I see. It's all about you."
"Yes, yes it is."
Not long thereafter, Julie pulled up and they unpacked the car, and the twins and went inside.
"You can have that room in there," Julie pointed. "It is already made up for these two, but there's a mattress on the floor."
She patted her stomach.
"Okay, thanks," Friday said.
Friday took her things inside, then came back out again and joined Julie on the lounge. B'E and Tom were playing on the floor.
"So, do you know what they are yet?"
"Nope. Don't want to know until they're born yet either."
"Which is when? Next month?"
Julie shrugged.
"Either that or early October."
"Decided on names yet?"
"All I know for certain is that twin girls shall be Tinga and Ziyal. I'm thinking Tinga Dax and Ziyal Max."
Friday giggled.
"You would."
"Yes, I know."
Bobby
Bobby came walking out of his and Julie's bedroom, dressed in long grey sweatpants. His hair was sticking up in all directions, and he needed a shave, but hadn't been bothered since coming home from the mansion that morning.
He wandered into the living room, wavering worringly, his skin pale and he looked thinner from not being able to eat.
"Julie? I just got - "
He stopped when he saw Friday.
"Oh, hey Friday. Sorry, I forgot you were coming..."
Julie and Friday
Julie look startled at Bobby's bedraggled appearence.
"Hi Bobby," Friday said cheerfully, noting he sure had changed a lot since she last saw him.
"Are... are you okay?" Julie asked.
Bobby
"Mmm? Me? Yeah I'm cool. Like ice, hah," Bobby joked weakly.
He walked over to Julie and kissed her forehead.
"I'll talk to you about it later."
Bobby plonked himself down in one of the armchairs.
"So, how are you Friday?"
Julie and Friday
Julie was still giving Bobby a concerned look.
"Okay," she agreed softly.
"I am good," and Friday went on, deciding that Julie needed a change of subject to distract her. "I'm not entirely sure if I should be looking forward to going to this Slayer school or not. But I'll sure be closer to Julie in Cleveland than I was in Australia. Even if Cleveland is supposed to be a hole."
Julie giggled.
Bobby
"Cleveland is a hole. Or so Faith tells me. She was there for the Slayer school for a bit, then hated it, so came back."
Bobby shrugged.
"She's not great with authority. At all, actually. But she's like the strongest Slayer so I guess she doesn't actually need to be told what to do. Unless she starts killing people again. In which case then maybe she would... I'll shut up now."
Friday and Julie
Friday blinked.
"But I thought this was going to be the first year of operation for the school?"
"Maybe she would... what?" Julie asked coyly.
Bobby
"Oh she didn't get taught. She helped set it up for a bit. Then tired of responsibility and came here."
Bobby shrugged.
Friday
"Oh, okay," Friday nodded.
"Ahh, responsibility... So Day, when you planning on teaching Zac some?" Julie's eyes twinkled mischeviously.
"My agreement with Ike is to wait until Zac can go a year without having to be a boy," Friday replied. "Which shouldn't be so hard, seeing how he's a girl now."
"If he's a girl now, why do you need to turn him into one?"
"Oh shush. Let me have my fun."
"Oh believe me, I will," Julie grinned, rubbing her hands together. "I want Zacky to have a bay-bee as much as you do."
Friday poked her tongue out at her.
"You realise of course, how you make it not rape?"
"How?"
"Just get him all worked up as a guy, and then in the middle of having sex, switch then. He won't notice."
Friday laughed.
Bobby
"This sounds intriguing. Yet scary, in case Julie decides to get me pregnant. So I think I'll go do some uni work."
Bobby kissed Julie's head.
"Give us a shout when you guys are hungry, and I'll duck out and get us some sort of take out. Love ya J."
And with that, Bobby fled from the room, not wanting to be around if Julie started to get evil ideas about him as a woman... although... he wouldn't mind sex from a female's perspective...
Julie and Friday
"Love ya B!" Julie called after him. "Hmm... getting Bobby pregnant..."
"Umm, I'm only doing this to Zac because he deserves it... I'm not going to do it to Bobby necause you have a whim."
"But I thought you were my friend... no I'm just kidding. If I'm going to have kids, then I would like to have them myself," Julie nodded, then leant forward confidently. "Actually, truth be known, I don't actually mind being pregnant. Gives me an excuse to sit in front of the computer all day."
Friday laughed.
"Of course, I do regularly go walking and swimming and stuff... have to keep in shape."
"Yeah... the only problem is looking after the kids once they're born..." Friday teased.
"Yes well... I love kids."
Friday laughed.
"No seriously," Julie said. "I mean sure, it can be chaotic. And as a human mother raising alien - and soon mutant - children, all those powers sure make it very... complicated and otherwise tricky, but I like it, y'know?"
Friday nodded slowly.
"Just make sure you find a way to take care of them all..."
"Yeah, well... that's partly what the website is about... I did some extracurricular courses with Forge -"
"Extracurricular?" Friday asked. "I'm sure that's -"
"I thought it was my job to make the sexual innuendos."
"I've been around you and Zac too long. But you're serious? When did you have time?"
Julie shrugged.
"I made time. Anyway, I was studying computer programming. I mean, I know how to do it to a certain point, but y'know... But the point is... I - eventually - want to start my own computer software company. Mainly games. And I kinda have to throw myself in the deep end, having never actually worked for a company, so... yeah... have to learn all the rules the hard way. But that's what I want."
"Cool."
