Regarding Shannon

Shannon

"You wanted to see me?" Shannon inquired, stepping into Scott's office.

"Yes, Shannon. Please, sit down," Scott said. "I hope not to take you away from your daughter too long."

"I appreciate that."

"She's a very beautiful young lady. Has your ears."

"Thank you. I have noticed that myself," Shannon smiled.

"Well... yes, I guess you would have by now. I wanted to ask you what you were planning on doing. I'm guessing that you want to stay here, seeing as, like most other students here, going home isn't an option. But I mean in the way of a career and/or further education and training."

"I thought I would continue taking courses. Obviously my time would mostly be spent in taking care of Briar, though."

"Of course. And your grade have improved significantly since you're been here."

"I suppose that when my power was out of control, I effectively had Dyslexia. And people who are Dyslexic generally have to work twice as hard in order to stay up with those who don't."

"There is that. Well, is there any course in particular you would like to study?"

As Shannon and Scott were having their discussion, Mark was listening in via one of his little probes that was camoflagued and situated in a corner of Scott's office. He watched Shannon thoughtfully, wondering just what part she was going to be playing in the future. And more importantly, how it would effect him.
