Matt looked down at the piece of paper in his hand, then up at the apartment building he stood in front of.
With no more than a slight shrug, he nodded at the doorman, and went inside the building, eyes scanning the lobby as he headed for the lift.
He arrived at the floor he was after, then stepped out, glancing once more at the paper in his hand, and then heading off, looking for the number he was after.

"Just a second!" Rebekah called, heading for the door, one hand clipping her hair back. She opened the door and blinked a few times.
"Matthew."
Matt smiled charmingly at her.
"Hi."
Rebekah laughed and hugged him tightly.
"It is so good to see you!"
Matt chuckled and hugged her back, stroking her hair with one hand.
"It's good to see you too, Bek. Can I..."
"Oui, come in."
Rebekah let him in, holding his hand.
"Nice place. Oh and congratulations on the pregnancy," Matt said, nodding at her stomach.
She smiled slowly.
"Merci. I..."
They walked into the kitchen and Rebekah fixed them some tea, before heading into the living room and sitting down across from each other.
"I'm sorry that I never made it to the funeral," Rebekah said quietly.
"I hope your family was not offended."
"We understood," Matt replied slowly.
"I didn't want to be there myself. Kept wishing it wasn't real."
"Hmmm."
The two sat in silence for a moment.
"Do... do you miss him?" he asked.
Rebekah looked at Matt and nodded.
"Oui, but I always carry a part of him around," she replied, her fingers coming up to play with the ring on the chain around her neck.
"Is it still hard for you?"
"I have good days and bad days," Matt said honestly.
"What about you?"
"Yes. It's harder sometimes than normal, but... it's never easy."
