"And now the part of the show I know that all the guys have been waiting for*"
Rove raised his eyebrows as there was a low "ooooooooh" from the crowd.
"And some of the girls, I guess," he shrugged.
"It's time to welcome to the set, the stars of the original TV sitcom `The Simple Life', and now its follow up `Simple Life 2'* it's Paris Holtion and Nicole Richie!"
Paris and Nicole
Paris and Nicole came out the doors together, linking arms as they walked up to the couches.
Paris bent down to kiss Rove's cheek, and Nicole stood on her tiptoes to do the same.
"Hi Rove," Paris greeted.
Rove
Rove chuckled, rubbing his cheek.
"Well, well* have a seat ladies," he indicated the couch across from his.
"Great to have you on the show."
Nicole and Paris
Nicole and Paris perched themselves down on the couch.
Paris waved to someone in the audience and smiled sweetly.
"Thanks for having us," Nicole said.
"Yeah," Paris chimed in.
Rove
"Ok, so you've recently finished shooting the footage for a Simple Life 2, which will be on our screens next month*"
Than, in a low voice: "But it's on another network, so we won't go into that."
He chuckled.
"Is there ah* any goss you'd like to share with us about the new show? Anything we as viewers should be warned about, in a sense?"
Nicole and Paris
"Ummmm, we made a guy eat dog food," Nicole said, giggling.
"I hated him so much."
"I hated him too," Paris agreed.
"Um... this show is basically us doing a road trip across America, so it's a little different from the first show in that we're changing towns and doing odd jobs in each town to earn money."
Rove
"And obviously you came out somewhat unscathed," Rove pointed out with somewhat hidden praise.
"Do you* do you think it was harder this time? Or would you think * now that you've been in both situations * that living on the farm was a lot harder?"
Paris and Nicole
"Well I broke my rib this time around. But I think it was harder this time because we didn't know what to expect from each town," Paris replied.
"Yeah, and we didn't have time to kinda get along with each family we stayed with, while before, we were with just with the one family and they got used to us and we got used to them," Nicole put in.
Rove
"So what were you ah* were you constantly surprised by what you had to face each coming day, or were you able to set into a routine so to speak?" Rove used his hands for emphasis.
Nicole and Paris
"We were pretty surprised each day," Nicole said.
"We didn't really stay in each town for very long, we only stayed to make enough money to keep us going until the next town," Paris explained.
"So while we were travelling, that was kinda routine, but like, in the towns and stuff, that was all different."
Rove
"So I guess*" Rove paused to get his bearings.
"You most likely would have seen the road as a sort of* `haven' I guess? I mean having to make money to support yourself isn't all that much fun for some people," he glanced at the cameras with a smile, "so it would have been relieving to finally get back on the road and in a sense not have to worry about how you're getting through the next few days for a while."
Nicole and Paris
"It was for me," Nicole said.
"But I had to do all the driving, coz Nicole can't drive, so it got, like, tiring for me, but yeah, it was better to be on the road. At least then we didn't have to do any like gross jobs," Paris answered.
Rove
"Well yeah, that's what I was getting at," Rove laughed.
"But anyway* Any regrets for the last season? Or even the first season at your leisure."
Paris and Nicole
"Ummm, not really," Paris said, thinking for a moment.
"Maybe the thing at the pub," Nicole said.
"When I trashed it after thinking they'd, like, stolen my bag."
"But we paid them back for that," Paris said, moving hair from her shoulder.
"I regret eating deer," Nicole announced.
"That was funny though. You didn't fully eat it, I like how you spat it back onto the plate. That was hot," Paris replied, laughing.
Rove
Rove was blushing slightly, but it was mostly unnoticeable.
"Yes, I'm sure everyone remembers that little incident. In fact, I think we have some footage right here of the whole* bar thing right now."
They crossed to some footage of Paris and Nicole in bar, inevitably showing when Nicole threw bleach over a pool table.
After it, there was a short silence.
"You don't regret any of that?" he asked, focusing mainly on Paris.
Paris and Nicole
"I regret not stopping Nicole, or trying to stop her more," Paris replied.
"Because I mainly just watched and tried a little to get her out of there, but at the end of it, when we got our money back, we paid them everything to cover the cost of getting it all replaced and extra to kinda say sorry."
Nicole nodded.
"I mean we did some stupid things, but at the end of it, we were able to pay everyone back and stuff. But it was still heaps of fun, just like learning how to do things we never thought we'd ever have to do."
"It was hard though," Paris added.
"And it was difficult for us to kinda fit in, because everyone kept asking stupid questions and acting like we couldn't do anything at all."
Rove
"And have you found that, since finishing the show * both show inclusive, one and two * you've done a lot more for yourselves? Or have you sort of* gone back to having everything done for you, and just*"
Rove looked as if he really didn't want to say it.
"..>As some people would say, gone back to being `spoiled brats'?"
He chuckled to keep the mood lightened.
Paris and Nicole
"Well like, during the second show, it was like the third family we stayed with, one of the sons asked me, like, what my butler cooked me or my servant or whatever, and I was so shocked, because I didn't realise that's what people thought of me," Paris replied.
"Because I live with my sister, so we do our own cooking and stuff, but since like the shows have ended, I've started doing more."
Nicole shrugged.
"I probably do a little more, but like most of the stuff we learned along the way was stuff we won't really need, like milking cows and making sausages and stuff. Oh, what was heaps useful was when Paris and I learned to pump our own gas."
Rove
"Well there you go," Rove sat back, "see, a lot of the general population would think you wouldn't go anywhere near a petrol station. They'd believe that all you do is drive around in limousines all day and you have* like* those guys who open the doors for you, and red carpet minions chasing you down the street and* you know what I mean?"
Paris and Nicole
"We used to," Paris giggled.
"Well, not like drive in limos, but before we did the first series, Nicole had never been to a gas station at all. I'd been, but I'd never done it myself."
Nicole laughed.
"The biggest like misconception is that we're total brats, but we're like not at all."
Rove
"Of course after seeing the first season of the show I don't many peoples' minds would have changed. I mean, seeing the footage we've just shown of the incident at the bar* You don't think that particularly shows a lack of* maturity?"
Rove was trying to sound as nice as he could, given the circumstances.
Paris and Nicole
"Yeah, I guess it does," Paris agreed.
"But like if people want to think that way, then let them, like, there are always gonna be some people who don't like you and who think badly of you."
Nicole nodded her agreement.
"But I mean, we do some good things too, but no one really ever reports that. It's just bound to happen really."
Rove
"As generally is with certain reality shows these days, I know they obviously would pick out the most* well, the most interesting parts I guess and not show what's happening the rest of the time," Rove agreed.
"Now, Paris* sorry to single you out for a moment so to speak, but I believe you have a book coming out also next month * coinciding with Simple Life 2 on our TV screens. Would you like to plug that tonight?"
Paris and Nicole
"Yeah, I do," Paris replied, smiling.
"It's called 'Confessions Of An Heiress', and it's basically just my thoughts on everything, really, like parties, people, fashion and everything."
"It's really hot," Nicole said.
"And it'll be instore next month."
Rove
"And I happen to have a copy of it right here," Rove grinned, pulling it out from behind his couch rather awkwardly.
"Confessions Of An Heiress, available at all major bookstores and probably online as well. Now, something else I have to ask you* Paris* I've heard a bit of a buzz," he squinted.
"Is there something going on with a certain* Tara Reid or Lindsay Lohan? What's the deal?"
Nicole and Paris
"They're fighting over her!" Nicole exclaimed, clapping and bouncing slightly in her seat, which was rather difficult, due to the length or lack of, her skirt.
"It's so funny!"
Paris buried her head in her hands and shook her head, but she was laughing.
"It's getting so ridiculous," Paris replied.
Rove
Rove laughed.
"So.. what? What exactly is the deal here? They just both came up to you at once and said `hey, I want you'? Or was it something you heard through some friends, or* how did this come about?"
Paris and Nicole
"It was weird, like I didn't even know about it when it first happened. I found out when Nicole called me up and told me something was going on," Paris said.
"I'd been at that party, but Paris was off with her sister, so I was hanging out with Tara and Lindsay," Nicole started.
"Who I'm friends with, but they were friends before this too," Paris interrupted.
"And Tara suddenly started getting all like, upset and stuff, and she told Lindsay to stay away from Paris, or she'd like, beat her head in and stuff," Nicole went on.
"And Lindsay started saying how like Tara was just a nobody, and yeah, they were getting pretty loud and they eventually got escorted out. So I called Paris and told her what was going on."
"It was so weird. And they're like, still not talking to each other," Paris said.
Rove
"So* are you willing to* swing that way, in a sense?" Rove raised his eyebrows.
"I mean, are you open to either of them? Do you have a personal preference? Or is it all kind of `hush hush'/secret stuff?"
Paris and Nicole
Paris and Nicole started laughing.
"No, they're fighting over who's closer to me, like who's my better friend," Paris explained.
"You're so cute," Nicole told Rove.
Rove
"Why thankyou," Rove blushed, tilting his head down as he went into his `cute' pose.
"You're not too bad yourselves, really. Ok, moving on* Status? Are we both single?"
Paris and Nicole
"Thank you," Paris said, smiling.
"And yes, we're both single."
"At the moment," Nicole put in.
Rove
"At the moment?" Rove raised his eyebrows.
"Is that ah* a hint for someone? Is someone watching that you're trying to send a message out to?"
He turned to the camera with one eyebrow raised.
Nicole and Paris
Nicole giggled.
"No, nothing like that. It's just that we haven't been home for ages, so we like, don't know what could happen if we meet someone or anything."
Paris laughed.
Rove
"Oh really?" Rove wiggled his eyebrows.
"So ah*"
He leant forward resting his hand on his chin, the respective elbow on the arm of the couch.
"You reckon we could work something out?" he said in a low voice.
Paris and Nicole
"You are so cute!" Paris said, giggling.
"Loves it!" Nicole added.
"I don't know when we'll have time for boyfriends at the moment, because we're so busy with promotions for the show."
Rove
"Well maybe we could work something out," Rove shrugged, sitting back.
"I mean after all* I'm a very busy man. I guess I could fit in dinner with you sometime between now and when you leave the country. You know* slitting it between dance lessons with Corrine and dodge ball with Pete*"
Paris and Nicole
"We'd love to have dinner with Pete too," Paris said, giggling.
"He was cute too. And Corinne was funny," Nicole said.
Rove
"Oh?" Rove's eyebrows raised again.
"Oh I see. You guys have been getting up to the naughty stuff backstage. Well thanks for letting me in on it."
He sorted his papers in a huff.
Paris and Nicole
"Well Pete was very helpful to us backstage. He got us drinks and food and stuff," Paris said, laughing.
"But we love you more than Pete and Corinne," Nicole assured him.
Rove
"Awwwww*" Rove's childish grin came back almost instantly.
"Can I* Can I have a hug?" he sat forward.
Paris and Nicole
Paris and Nicole moved off their couches to give Rove a group hug.
"We love you Rovie!"
Rove
Rove sighed and closed his eyes with a grin.
"I'm basking. I'm truly basking," he sighed, then opened his eyes.
"We'll be right back on Rove Live, please thank Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie for joining us on the show! Stars of the Simple Life 2, and Paris's book `Confessions of a Heiress' will be in stores next month!"
