Constantine danced happily with Ophelia, so glad that he'd got up the nerve to ask her out. They'd gone to the movies earlier-- a showing of "Splash" at a revival house, and were now at a teen dance-club working up a sweat.
"I need water," she said, and they grabbed 2 bottles of water and sat down.
"I'm really glad you said you'd go out with me," Connie said.
"Well, I'm really glad you asked me."
"You ready to go back to school?"
"Yeah, but let's walk. It'll be fun." The two walked hand in hand through Westchester County, just talking and enjoying each other's company. There was a quiet rumble of thunder in the background as the skies opened, the rain poring down. Connie tried to hide under a tree, but Feelie pulled him out into the rain.
"No! We hafta dance in the rain!" Ophelia held her arms out and spun around, skipping around happily in the rain. "I love storms, especially when there's a power outage." Connie grinned mischieviously, and set out an electro-magnetic pulse, shutting off all the streetlights, and the two walked happily home in the dark.
