Faith waved a piece of paper in the air, perching down on a couch next to Angel, at the mansion.
"Had to steal it from Bobby's room, but I got it," she announced, flipping her cell phone open.
"Do you think she'll be up to it?" Angel asked.
"Angel, he killed her honey. If it was me - "
"But it's not you. Just remember that, please, Faith?"
"Ok, I get it. But she'll be tied up, and if anything goes out of hand, you and I are there to kill her. If she can't."
With a little nod from Angel, Faith dialled in Rebekah's number.
~*~*~*~
Rebekah heard her phone go off while listening to Jono play guitar. She reached into her pocket and looked at the screen.
'Private Number calling'.
"Hello?"
~*~*~*~
"Hey, is this Rebekah?" Faith asked.
"Oui, who is this?" Rebekah replied.
"This is Faith. You might've met me before... but anyway. Look, there's no nice way to say this, but you know the vampire who killed your boy? I have her. She's all restrained. And if you want to dust her - "
Rebekah paused for a long moment before answering.
"I'll do it."
"We'll be at Andrew and Anya's."
Faith rattled off the address and Rebekah wrote it down.
"Thanks."
~*~*~*~
Rebekah hung up, looking dazed.
"Jono, that was Faith. She has... she has the vampire who killed Ian, and... I'm going over to that Slayer house, and I'm... I'm going to kill her."
She shrugged slightly.
"It'll be safe, she's restrained. But I have to do this. For me. For Ian. For... for the kids. So..."
~*~*~*~
"It's fun being the good guy, isn't it? Admit it, you love it," Angel said, grinning.
"I'm not admitting anything," Faith replied.
"Anyway, we should get to Anya and Andrew's."
Jonothon
Jonothon nodded slowly.
"Feel yer really need ter do this, luv?"
Rebekah
"Kind of. Closure, I guess."
Rebekah shrugged.
"If I can't do it, Faith will, I guess."
Jonothon
"Alright."
Jonothon smoothed his hand down her shoulders, trying to soothe her a little.
"Yer know I'll support yer no matter wot, right?"
Rebekah
Rebekah nodded.
"Thank you."
She kissed his cheek, then grabbed her jacket and keys, heading for the door.
Jonothon
"Want me ter come wiv?" Jonothon asked.
"It's not a bother."
Rebekah, Faith, Angel and Kennedy
"Please."
Rebekah reached over and took Jono's hand.
~*~*~*~
Faith knelt down in front of Kennedy, grinning evilly.
"Morning."
Angel leant back against a wall, looking faintly bored.
"Sire, how could you turn your back on me?" Kennedy hissed.
"Coz you suck?" Faith answered.
Jonothon
"Here we are then."
Jonothon squeezed Bek's hand gently in reassurance.
"Want me ter come in as well?"
Rebekah, Anya, Faith, Kennedy and Angel
Rebekah nodded as the door opened.
"Oh, you must be her," Anya said.
"They're downstairs in the basement. Just down those stairs. And uh, kill her quickly, she's not doing much for morale around here, seeing as she used to be one of us."
Rebekah gave a slight nod as she and Jono went down the stairs, to find Kennedy chained up, Angel looking bored, and Faith whittling a stake.
"Hey," Faith said, tossing Rebekah the stake.
Rebekah caught it and looked at Kennedy, feeling the uneasiness come over her again.
"So you were his girl. Hmmm, well, I'll let you in on one thing, he tasted sweet. Died, crying your name too," Kennedy said, grinning at Rebekah.
Angel moved from his position against the wall to snap a kick against Kennedy's head.
"I really don't think you're in any sort of position to be speaking to her like that," he said, his voice low, but deadly.
"But dear sire, I know if she doesn't have the guts to kill me, you or Faithy darling will. So I'm pretty much counting on dying today," Kennedy snarled, standing up.
Faith got up, grabbed Angel's broad sword and drove it in Kennedy's leg, ensuring the vampire could not stand up.
"No, really, don't get up."
Rebekah squeezed Jono's hand for reassurance.
"So, 'ow do I...?"
"Ah," Faith said, pulling out a stake of her own.
"Just drive it through their heart. No muss, no fuss. Of course, if you'd rather torture her or something..."
With that statement, Angel poured holy water onto Kennedy's head, the female vampire screaming as she burnt.
Jonothon
Jonothon unwrapped the bottom half of his face and the flames leapt upwards.
"How much can she burn before she's dust?" he asked, rage thrumming through his telepathic voice.
It made the basement walls seem close, as the hellfire inside him danced and gleamed around his ruined face.
Angel, Kennedy and Rebekah
Angel held his hand up to stop Jono.
Kennedy snarled, vamping out into her game face as she did so.
"Did you think that killing me would help you somehow?" she sneered at Rebekah.
"That you'd get some closure? For poor Ian?"
Rebekah's hand tightened on the stake.
Jonothon
Jonothon reached into Kennedy's head with his telepathy and ran the demon's memories through his less then gentle fingers.
"No, but it'll make us feel better, yer box-eyed skanking bloody undead walking piece of shite."
He raked through her mind telepathically.
Kennedy, Rebekah and Faith
The vampire screamed in pain, and her pain amplified and reflected onto Rebekah.
"No!" Rebekah screamed, as Kennedy's memories of killing Ian bubbled to the surface, and with the help of Rebekah's power, the scene played out for all in the room, like a movie.
"Weird," Faith commented, watching.
"Oh God..." Rebekah whispered.
Jonothon
"Jesus, I'm sorry, so sorry, luv," Jonothon said frantically, putting his arms around Bek and rubbing her back gently.
"I shouldn't have done that..."
Rebekah, Kennedy and Angel
"It's ok," Rebekah said, rubbing her head.
She lifted the stake slightly, and Kennedy scoffed.
"F*ck you," the vampire snarled.
Angel snapped another kick at Kennedy's head.
With a small nod, Rebekah pulled away from Jono and walked over to Kennedy.
Angel held his Childe down.
"I'm sorry I turned her," he said to Rebekah softly.
Rebekah closed her eyes for a moment, then when she opened them, she plunged the stake into Kennedy's chest.
Kennedy screamed, then dusted.
Rebekah started shaking all over, and she dropped the stake and backed away from the pile of dust.
Jonothon
Jonothon pulled her into his arms, crooning to her telepathically and helping her throw up shields. Cradled her mind with his own, as his arms held her close.
"S'alright, s'over now, luv, over...yer did good, pet, real good...it's ok, luv, it's ok..."
Rebekah, Faith and Angel
"Let's go home," Rebekah said, her voice even.
"Thank you."
"Hey, no problem," Faith said, following the younger girl up the stairs and to the front door.
Angel stood behind Faith and put his hands on her shoulders.
"You'll be alright though?"
Rebekah nodded.
"Fine."
Jonothon
"We'll be good...eventually," Jonothon sent to Angel privately.
"I'll look after her."
He then turned his attention to Bek, putting his hand on her waist.
"C'mon, luv, we'll go home now."
Rebekah and Angel
"Ok," Angel said.
"Take care."
Rebekah let Jono guide her to the car, and she hopped into the front passenger seat, staring out the window.
Jonothon
Jonothon put the car into gear, then carefully drove off.
He somehow couldn't quite stop glancing at her. She looked like she was about to break.
Rebekah
Rebekah leant her head against the window, the glass cool on her skin.
"Do you think it's easier to play without a thumb pick? Or should I get one?"
Jonothon
"They're pretty good, but it takes a bit of time ter get used to it," Jonothon said cautiously.
He glanced at her again.
Rebekah
"It would stop the cuts, I guess."
Rebekah's gaze was still out the window.
"New York's pretty."
Jonothon
"In it's own way, yeah," Jonothon said catiously.
"Bek...are yer really alright?"
Rebekah
"Oui, I'm fine."
Rebekah brushed some hair from her eyes.
"Tired, is all."
