"My next guests were on the show just last month, and considering they have now been on the show twice they are a Rove Live favourite. They are currently touring Australia to promote their new album '69 That', they are* ROOM 69!"
The crowd applauded as the guys came out and Rove made his way over to the couches.
Room69
The band walked out from the doors, and stopped before reaching the stage, dancing to the Rove music which was playing. Noah hopped up on stage, followed by the others, after a moment, and they all hugged Rove, towering over him easily.
They then settled on the chairs.
Rove
"So boys* I trust you remember our delightful conversation via satellite. It's great to have you in the studio," Rove raised his eyebrows.
Room69
"It's good to be here," Noah said.
"And Rovey, I'm still single," Pete said, wiggling his eyebrows.
Rove
"Oh are you now?" Rove looked at him sideways with a sly grin.
"We will have to set up that date after all. Are you free on Saturday?"
Room69
"Yes. And Rovey, even if I had plans, I'd cancel them for a date with you," Pete said, grinning.
"This just keeps on getting more disturbing," Chris said.
"Yeah, man you should've heard him!" Noah exclaimed.
"All the way over here on the plane... he was like 'we're gonna see Rove!'"
Rove
Rove sat up straight and straightened his jacket.
"You boys have no idea what you do for my ego, I tell you," he shook his head, eyeing off the camera a little.
"But I guess it's not everyday you get to meet a Gold Logie winner*"
Room69
"What is that?" Adam asked, pointing to one of the Logies.
"It looks like a weapon. Is that for guests who get out of hand?"
"Yeah, when they give an answer you don't like, you just go KAPOW! And knock them out?" Chris asked.
Rove
"Oh totally. You are very right. DON'T TOUCH!"
Rove reached over and slapped Adam's hand.
"They have this huge humungous gigantic death ray thingy that you don't want to be in the way of when it goes off!"
Room69
"Dude, that's insane," Adam said.
"Hey beans!"
Noah stood up and grabbed the jellybean holder and threw handfuls into the crowd.
"Come on! Get high on sugar!"
Rove
"It's fun, it really is," Rove nodded to the crowd.
"And you can do anything you want with those. Well, censors willing considering we're on live television and everything but that doesn't really matter* So we need to get back to this album. Is this strictly a promotional tour this time around? Are you doing any shows?"
Room69
"Ummmm, it's a mix of both," Pete said.
"Yeah, we're doing a few shows, but we're mostly here to do promos and coz my missus felt a little homesick," Noah explained.
Rove
Rove leant over to shake Noah's hand.
"By the way, this is not only to congratulate you on marriage, but to congratulate you on your Aussie slang. You go Noah! You GO!"
Room69
The boys laughed.
"Yeah, the missus has been teaching me," Noah said, chuckling.
Rove
"Ah, yesssss*"
Rove turned to the camera.
"For those who don't know, Noah's wife is actually Australian. ONE OF OUR OWN! How did you meet?" his look turned serious again.
Room69
"We met in a music shop. We ran into each other, literally. And then it turned out we would've met anyway, because our dad's do business together," Noah said, grinning.
"He spoils her so bad," Pete put in.
"I reckon!" Adam exclaimed.
Rove
"Where is she tonight if you don't mind me asking? I don't think I saw her backstage*" Rove looked curious.
Room69
"She's hanging out at the hotel, racking up room service with their girlfriends, probably," Pete cut in.
"Yeah she's at the hotel," Noah confirmed.
"I think she's coming to watch the end when we perform, because all of them want to meet you."
Rove
Rove raised an eyebrow at the camera.
"Well everyone knows I have a thing with the la-dies," he joked.
"And in some cases, the men. You are a man, aren't you Pete?"
Room69
Pete pretended to look down his pants.
"Ummmm... yes! I am!"
"Rovey's gonna steal our women, so we need new ones," Chris said.
Rove
Rove blocked his ears as the girls in the crowd screamed.
Laughing, he finally let go when they died down.
"Oh shut up," he waved them off.
"Here's some interesting stuff. Received any death threats lately? I heard there was one on you Adam*"
Room69
"You sent it, didn't you?" Adam said, pretending to be horrified.
"It wasn't so much a death threat as a stalker."
Rove
"Sorry Adam, but I prefer Pete*"
A loud `WOOHOO!' came from the other side of the set.
"NOT YOU PETE!" Rove yelled, before turning around again.
"This guy won't leave me alone. He calls and leaves messages, he harasses me day and night* well, the night's not so bad, but he just won't take the hint."
The camera showed a dismal Peter Helliar.
Room69
"Your name is Pete too?"
Pete jumped up and went running towards Pete, hands outstretched.
"My brother!"
"He's out on day release," Noah joked.
Rove
Pete obliged, hugging the taller man with all his might.
"He can't be out day release, we have a date on Saturday* HEY! I HAVE AN INTERVIEW TO DO!"
"See, someone appreciates me!" Pete called back.
Room69
"Pete, come back, you idiot!" Adam yelled.
"But my brother, he needs me!" Pete said, disentagling himself from Pete.
He spotted Corinne and wolf whistled.
Rove
"Hey, who you calling `big'?" Pete frowned.
"Hey Corrine!" Rove called, "mind walking over here so he follows you and I can actually get paid for this?"
"Oh I'm kind've busy at the moment Rove*"
Room69
Pete came toddling back over and sat down.
"You got some good looking girls around here. Corinne... Pete..."
Rove
"Oh I'll be seeing you after the show, pal!" Pete pointed an accusing finger.
Rove silently made gestures to try and convince them to let him get on with the show, and Pete disappeared.
"Ok, well* we haven't even said much but we're running out of time here, so* you're stopping over in Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth and Hobart. If people want to find out more they can go to your website*"
Room69
"Yeah, it's room69.com," Noah said.
"And we're running a new competition, to win some signed stuff," Pete said.
"Like albums, shirts, anything we can find and sign..."
Rove
"Oh, don't forget to sign the fridge before you leave," Rove reminded them.
"But for now," he turned to the camera, "this is Room69, promoting '69 That'. Go. Buy it. Listen to it. And they will be back to perform for us later on. And we will be back, after this short break."
Room69
"Thanks guys!" Noah said.
They turned to talk to Rove as the ads rolled, before going backstage again.
