Rove
"And now some guests we are very proud to have with us... well, sort of with us, via satellite, but you know what I mean... They've had two top ten hits in the US and UK so far and are currently storming up the Australian charts... Can you guess who it is?"
Rove grinned as a few crowd members started screaming.
"That's right, it's Room69! Direct from Oklahoma! How are you boys?"
Room69
"We're good," Adam said, grinning.
"Yeah we're heaps good, but how are you, Rovey?" Noah asked, scratching his head.
Rove
Rove pretended he was blushing.
"He called me Rovey," he whispered to the crowd before chuckling.
"I am doing very well, Noah. Thanks for asking. Now I have here, with me, a bunch of questions that the people from Australia have put together for you - as we told them you were coming. Do you mind answering a few? Just to set people's minds to rest? So they can sleep at night?"
Noah
"If it helps people sleep, then I think we can make an effort," Peter said.
"Yeah, we're all about giving. We live to give," Chris chimed in.
Rove
"Very well then. Katie of... Mundijong..." Rove raised an eyebrow.
"...Would like to know when you guys are coming down here. And admittedly, I'd love to know myself."
Room69
"Oooh, Rove's eager to see us in the flesh!" Adam said happily.
"Um... I'm gonna take the lead and give a typical teenage male answer of we have no idea. We'll be there by December at the latest. We really wanna get down there soon, but right now we're doing a little tour around the US, so yeah, December at the latest," Noah answered.
"We wanna go surfing!" Chris exclaimed.
"Everyone we've spoken to says that surfing is ace in Australia!"
"But we don't wanna eat Vegemite," Peter said.
Rove
"Dare you turn down one of our token foods if we offer?" Rove looked offended, before chuckling.
"I bet you won't turn down Tim Tams once you find out what they are. And yes, I am VERY eager to see you in the flesh. Perhaps we can have you playing on the show next time."
He wiggled his eyebrows.
Room69
"We recently got Vegemite over here. How do you guys eat that stuff? It's so bitter!" Pete exclaimed.
"Tim... Tams... sounds like a guy and a girl," Chris mused.
"Ooh, an invitation to play, we're moving up in the world. It's a far cry from when we used to beg people for gigs," Adam said.
Rove
"Well there's also a question here from... Glen from Armidale, New South Wales, and I'm sure you've been asked this many times, but... How did it all start?"
Even Rove looked bored with the question.
Room69
"You go Noah, it sounds less boring coming from you," Chris said.
Adam and Pete snickered.
"It's his sexy voice that gets him all the chicks," Adam explained.
"Moving along from my chick pulling abilities... um... well we all grew up in Tulsa... met at school in our music class. Decided to form a band. We're so boring, there's no like funny anecdote about how we met," Noah said.
Rove
"Well I believe I should know about gaining chicks..." Rove raised an eyebrow at the camera, "but no. I can't pull it off."
He grabbed the next card.
"There's been quite a few mentions of girlfriends for you lot though... Chris, we heard something about you and Delta Goodrem?"
Room69
Room69 laughed and Pete nudged Chris.
"Yeah, we met Delta, and she was heaps nice," Chris said.
"And hot," Adam put in.
"But all of us, except Petey have girlfriends," Chris replied.
"Oh and Noah's married."
Noah laughed.
"I like how that was a side thought."
Rove
"Woooo! Go Noah!" Rove winked.
"But poor Petey. I'm sure he could find a girlfriend over here. Or a boyfriend."
Room69
"You offering, Rovey?" Pete asked, grinning.
"But yes!"
Pete spread his arms wide.
"If anyone over there wants to be my girlfriend, then I am all yours!"
Rove
"Well if you want me to, then yes, I am offering," Rove nodded enthusiastically, before all the girls in the sudience began screaming.
Rove laughed for a moment as the stage crew tried to quieten them down.
"Oh God that was precious. Now, Noah. I had a little whisper in my ear just recently that your girlfriend... well, wife now, is actually Australian already?"
Room69
Noah smiled and nodded.
"She is indeed. She still has her accent, which is kinda cute, and yeah. I'll stop talking about her now."
"He's embarressed," Adam informed everyone.
Rove
"There we go, we got that down?" Rove checked with a stagehand.
"Australia already has their claws into this great band. Ok guys. I have heard the album, and I have to ask... why this as your first single? There is some truly amazing stuff on this album."
He held up a copy of the single to the camera.
Room69
"Um... well, we were going through some problems in the studio," Adam said.
"Adz and Noah were having digs, big time," Pete said, chuckling.
"Noah had a hissy, went outside and wrote a song, and we liked it, so... yeah. We're bringing out a new single soon, we're making the clip this week, so get into it guys!"
Rove
"Oh I'm sure we will," Rove insisted.
"And good luck with that and future endeavours by the way. I did hear rumours that you may be releasing a documentary about how the album was made though? Any verification?"
Room69
"That's up for debate," Noah said.
"We filmed some of the process, but there's a lot more swearing than we should admit to."
"At this moment, we'll say no," Adam answered.
"No current plans for any sort of film."
Rove
Rove counted the audience in and they let out a great big "Awwwwwwww!"
He laughed, then tapped his cards on the desk.
"Well I hope you boys can get down here as soon as possible, and it's been great having you with us. Let's end with one more question from... a fan. Josie from Ferndale. Do any of you..."
Rove chuckled and eyed the camera for a moment.
"Can we say this on air?" he asked one of the stage hands as they came up to the desk.
He shrugged, and Rove raised his eyebrows.
"Ooook then. Do any of you have... a Prince, Albert?"
Room69
"A Prince whosit?" Pete asked.
"Dick ring," Noah replied.
"Can you say that on TV? Can he say that?" Chris asked.
"Too late now," Adam said, chuckling.
"And no, none of us have one. Ok, well I don't."
"Me neither."
"Same."
"Heh... neither."
Rove
"It's all live, it doesn't matter," Rove shrugged good naturedly.
"Well thank you boys, it's been great talking. And don't forget to drop by the studio when you come to Australia."
Room69
"Yeah, plus, we've gotta go on our date, Rove," Pete said, grinning.
"Thanks for having us," Noah said.
"Buy the album, it rocks!" Adam advised.
"And look out for our new single, 'So Hard To Get'," Chris put in.
"Bye!"
Rove
"Of course, Pete. I'll mark it on the calendar," Rove reassured.
"And thanks again to Room69. As said, go out and buy the album! Coming up after the break, we have Big Brother's next evictee and My Charader!"
