Christian & Isaac Blakesley

Christian eyed off the folder sitting next to him on the ground.

At least he'd finally be getting out of this dump for a while. And Taylor had a chance to leave.

He sighed and scratched at his right eye again as Isaac Blakesley made his way through the front door again.

Blakesley

Blakesley followed his father into the room, slight smile on his face.

"Good morning, Christian."

Christian

Christian grabbed the folder and stood as they entered.

"So when do I leave?" he asked seriously.

"So anxious..." Isaac murmured, smiling slightly as he leant against the table.

Blakesey

"Today, perhaps?" Blakesley said.

"There are a few procedures I want carried out first..."

Christian

Christian glanced at Isaac warily, before letting the folder drop to the floor with a loud clatter.

"What?" he squinted at Blakesley.

Blakesley

"Simply the insertion of a tracking device," Blakesley said.

"Surely you didn't think I would just let you out with no way of knowing where you were?"

Christian & Isaac Blakesley

Isaac raised his eyebrows as Christian glanced at him again.

"I thought the chip was enough?" he frowned, looking at Blakesley again.

Blakesley

"I'm a cautious man...I like insurance," Blakesley said.

"After all, if for some reason the chip malfunctions...though most probably if that happens you'll be turned into a drooling vegetable, I would like to be able to get my hands on you again."

Christian & Isaac Blakesley

"Of course you can always refuse," Isaac said softly as Christian's eyes darted toward him.

"Lord knows it would make it more interesting for us."

Christian glared at him before folding his arms.

"So?" he raised his eyebrows at Blakesley.

Blakesley

"With aneasthetic or without?" Blakesley asked, almost pleasantly.

"Please say without."

Christian

Christian raised an eyebrow.

"You have a personal preference, yet you're letting me choose? Well isn't that unusual..."

He glanced at Isaac.

"With."

Blakesley

"I'm more...lenient with operatives," Blakesley said.

"As opposed to subjects."

He got out what looked like a syringe but with a strange sort of nozzle fitting.

"Sedative spray, works best with direct contact," he explained to his father, taking Christian's arm and then applying the nozzle and squeezing the trigger.

"But it still works well from a distance. But with more of a paralyzing effect then truly...comatose."

Christian & Isaac Blakesley

Isaac nodded as Christian kept still until Blakesley was done.

Almost immediately, he began to feel dizzy, and felt he had to sit down. But he managed to make it over to the table instead and practically crawl up onto it instead.

"Just don't touch the back of my neck," he whispered before passing out.

Isaac stepped back before beginning to look him over.

Blakesley

Blakesley washed his hands and put on gloves, before picking up a scalpel.

One of N-series clones entered, bearing a tray with a variety of technological devices on it. Blakesley started to make an incision down the length of Christian's leg, before taking one of the devices and inserting it into his flesh. The clone stepped closer and put her hand over the wound.

It healed without a scar or trace to show it had been there.

Blakesley moved on to insert the next tracking device.

Isaac Blakesley

"Remarkable," Isaac said simply, watching as the N series clone did her work.

He looked down on Christian's content facial expression and wondered idly if Taylor had awoken yet.

Blakesley

"They're very useful," Blakesley said, sliding the next one inside a gaping wound.

"Although a lot of the clones turned out to be failures, the ones that survive..."

Again, the wound healed up behind the passage of the N-Clone's hand.

"Are very useful indeed."

Isaac Blakesley

Tilting his head to the side a little, Isaac took hold of the bulk of Christian's hair and lifted it from his neck.

Below lay a gaping scar, somewhat in the shape of an `M', which otherwise hadn't been visible.

"Interesting how he seems to wish to keep such a scar," he murmured, hand roving to Christian's chin and holding it.

Blakesley

"Sometimes scars are a reminder," Blakesley said softly.

"But a reminder of what?"

Isaac Blakesley

Isaac hummed slightly as he thought it over.

"Perhaps Taylor would enlighten us when he awakes," he said finally.

Blakesley

"Indeed."

Blakesley moved away and washed his hands clean of blood.

"Any suggestions, Father? For Taylor."

Isaac Blakesley

"For Taylor*" the older man almost purred.

He was silent for a moment, regarding Christian's facial features.

"Perhaps he has made his own suggestion unknowingly," he said finally, before looking up.

"The young lad does have a remarkable voice."

Blakesley

"Yes?" Blakesley asked, motioning for the N-clone to leave. She took the tray of instruments with her.

"Should we...go see him?"

Isaac Blakesley

"I'd wait until you see Christian off," Isaac said thoughtfully, stepping back a little.

Judging by his heart rate he should be awake soon enough.

Blakesley

Blakesley inclined his head a little in the direction of his father.

"As you say."

He watched Christian for signs that the man was returning to consciousness.

Christian & Isaac Blakesley

Christian did slowly awaken, but it was difficult to tell to anyone else.

Until he opened his eyes slightly.

He looked up at Isaac standing over him, then groaned slightly as he rolled onto his side.

Blakesley

"Feeling awake, Christian?" Blakesley inquired, smiling faintly.

Christian

Christian rubbed his eyes, before taking a deep breath as he sat up.

"Enough," he replied.

He shook the hair out of his eyes before looking up at Blakesley.

"So am I out?" he raised his eyebrows.

Blakesley & Apollo

"I keep my word...as long as you keep yours."

Blakesley pressed down on the intercom.

"Please send an escort for Christian to cell 7628 slash alpha dee."

"Right away, doctor," a cool voice said from the intercom.

A few minutes later, the door slid open and Apollo stepped inside. He clicked his heels together as he came to attention and saluted.

"Reporting for escort duty, sir."

And that doesn't sound dirty at all... Apollo thought to himself.

Though I wouldn't mind escorting *him* anywhere, mmm.

"He is not to know where this base is located, is that clear?" Blakesley said pleasantly.

"You will lose him and drop him off in the place designated once you are gone."

"Yessir."

Christian & Isaac Blakesley

Christian raised his eyebrows and pursed his lips as Isaac stepped back a little.

"I'd better be able to tell where I am," he insisted, slipping from the table and going to fetch the folder from the floor.

He flipped through it quickly, wondering who the other alien with tongue he was supposed to get was. With a frown, he realised none of the aliens had the power.

Eyes darting for a second, he turned back to Blakesley.

"I think you're missing something," he raised his eyebrows, closing the folder.

"The alien to replace Taylor isn't in here."

Blakesley

"Isn't it?" Blakesley said softly.

"Ah well. Perhaps we will not need a replacement, or my superiors have decided that Taylor will do very well himself..."

Christian

Christian scowled.

"If you're not keeping up your end of the bargain, then I have no reason to either," he said finally.

"You said you'd let him go. I'm only working for that. Otherwise, f**k you."

Blakesley

"He will be released," Blakesley said.

"I suggest that you leave before I decide that there are other operatives who would do just as well as you."

Christian & Isaac Blakesley

"Yeah? And he'll be released in what year?" Christian glared.

Then he glanced at Isaac and shook his head.

"Whatever. I'm out."

He closed the folder and looked expectantly at Apollo to lead the way out.

Blakesley & Apollo

"Farewell, Christian," Blakesley said softly.

"Though, not *too* well."

He smiled briefly, then turned away to study something from his clipboard.

"If you would follow me, sir," the avatar of Apollo said, looking at Christian.

"We will go."

Christian

"Right back at you," Christian glared at Blakesley.

"And I couldn't have guessed. I'm waiting."

He raised his eyebrows.

Apollo & Blakesley

Alexander shouldered his rifle and opened the door, stepping through it.

Blakesley smiled slightly, running the point of the scalpel idly across his palm.

"Goodbye, Christian."

Christian

"Whatever."

Christian tucked the folder under his arm and followed Apollo from the room.
