25 May 2004 - Talking to the seniors

Written by Joy and Michelle

Scott and Kitty

Scott looked at the graduating class of mutant high.

"Since you are all graduating, you now have the chance to join the X-men if you want. You can either be on active duty, or on a reserve team, for emergencies only. Regardless, the training is rigorous, you have to work out five days a week, and you have Danger Room sessions four days a week. I know Kitty already plans to join the reserves, while she's at college, but I'd like to hear from the rest of you."

The graduating students he'd not been able to get ahold of recieved the same information in the mail.

Kitty grinned in her chair. She'd been bugging Scott to take her on missions since she was 14, and now she was finally joining the team.

Rosalind

"I'm in," Rosalind said. "I know I'm not even technically a student anymore, since I already graduated, but I'm still living here, so I'm in."

Rogue

Rogue chewed her lip for a moment, then raised her hand.

"What happens if we're not sure?" she asked. "Do we have the option to join in a years time or something?"

Scott

"Yes," Scott said, "But it would be a good idea to keep in shape nevertheless. But you can take a semester, a few months, or even a year or two. Since you will have graduated from Xavier's the offer will be open as long as the X-men exist. I have high hopesfor you, Rogue," Scott said, smiling. He knew he wasn't supposed to show favouritism, but he had a soft spot for the Southern mutant.
