20 May 2004 - Bringing things to a head

Written by Tegan and Nessa

Lindsey, Spike & Vortigern

Lindsey rubbed his eyes as he pushed away from his desk.

Talks between his clients and Angel as representative of the Aurlieus Clan were breaking down with regularity, and he knew the Coreians were right about to declare war. Frustrated and angry with the continued insult to their religion.

Damn Spike.

He picked up his briefcase and paused by a door.

"{It is agreed then?}"

"{We can no longer suffer this indecency against our faith. We must kill the human. Later, we will deal with the clan's reaction. In the end, the only one who will care will be Angelus and William. We can deal with those two.}"

"{We cannot dismiss Wolfram & Hart...}"

"{I am not dismissing them. But we have gone as far as we can with words. Now, we must progress to action.}"

"{Luck be with you.}"

"{And with you...}"

Lindsey kept walking quickly, heading for outside and scrolling to find Angel's office number in his addressbook of the cell.

"God, pick up..."

~*~*~*~

Spike watched Vortigern painting, leaning against the wall as the paintbrush danced over the canvas. Vortigern had managed to beg, borrow and shamelessly 'cute' his way into getting this rooftop space reserved for his painting, claiming natural light helped his compositions turn out better. Still, Spike knew the demons were hanging around, so he stayed out to watch.

And besides. His Mate's ass always looked good in his paint covered pants.

Angel

"Wolfram and Hart, Harmony speaking," Harmony chirped into the phone.

Angel rubbed his forehead tiredly.

Lindsey

F*ck, just what he didn't need.

"Harmony, it's Lindsey. Put me through to Angel, now," Lindsey snarled down the phone, fear making his voice rough.

He watched the demon get in the car and drive away.

Angel

"Right away."

Angel picked up his line.

"Angel here."

Lindsey

"Angel, they've given up on the lawyers and they're coming for Vortigern, now."

Lindsey started to say something else before he crumpled with a soft groan. The priest looked down, then picked up the cell.

"We are at war, leader of the clan of Aurelius. The concubine's hide will hang in our temple."

Angel

Angel snarled and slammed down the phone.

He jumped up and took the lift up to the roof.

"Spike, negotiations failed, the demons are coming for Vortigern. Now."

Spike, Vortigern & Mordred

"Pet, let's go," SPike snapped, moving from his relaxed slouch into battle readiness.

"Dammit, Spike, not now," Vortigern muttered, not really listening as he painted.

Then he screamed, hands flying to his face in shock as acid hit him squarely on one side. The side with the tattoo. Spike whirled, then leapt for the demon that spat another gob of acid at the vampire, but Spike dodged it, moving gracefully as he moved in to kill the thing that had dared harm his Mate slowly and bloodily.

Mordred slapped a hand to the side of his face, yelling in pain.

Angel and Gwen

Angel pushed the demon away and flipped to his feet.

"Stop! You want a sacrifice, I'll give you one."

Gwen rushed to Mordred's side.

"Mordred?"

Vortigern, Spike & Mordred

"God, it burns," Vortigern wept as Spike grabbed his hand to stop him spreading the acid around further.

"Don't pet, stop."

"Ahhhhhh god, Spike..."

Mordred closed his eyes for a moment, then opened them again.

"It's Vort."

He 'ported with no further explanation then that, landing in an easy crouch and teeth bared in a rictus of a snarl.

"Vort?"

PAINhurtpainpainagonyfireBURNINGfacePAINfirehurtshurtshurts...

Mordred winced.

Angel

Angel grabbed the head demon.

"KIll me, in his place."

Mordred, Vortigern & SPike

Mordred's head whipped around.

"What the F*CK is going on here?!"

"Angel, no!" Vortigern said, managing to get to his feet.

"You can't, you're too important."

"Luv..."

Spike got up, keeping his arm around Vortigern's waist to keep him steady and standing.

Angel, Faith and Gunn

"Take me, head of the Order of Aurelius," Angel said.

Faith's head snapped up.

"Oh God, Gunn, get me a teleporter. Angel's about to make a mistake."

Gunn nodded and rushed off to get one.

Vortigern, Spike & Mordred

"Angel, you can't!" Vortigern said, pushing Spike away and making a few determinded steps towards the demons.

"He will not have to stand in my place. I will let you kill me."

"NO!"

Spike grabbed Vortigern and shook him, face slipping into the demonic.

"I won't let you die. You're *mine*."

"Vort, no," Mordred said softly.

"Would you tear my other half from me?"

"Angel can't do this!" Vortigern insisted.

Angel and Faith

Angel turned to Vort and held his hand up slightly, showing the Gem of Amarra on his finger.

"Angelus, head of the Order, offers his life up in exchange."

Faith let go of the teleporter as they arrived.

"Angel no!"

Vortigern

Vortigern paused, and then nodded slowly, tear slipping from his good eye. One half of his face was irreperably scarred and reddened, the other, untouched.

"As you will."

Angel and Faith

The demon raised a special stake, dipped in poison and rammed it through Angel's chest.

Faith ran over and pushed the demon over the side of the building, and ran to Angel.

"Angel, are you ok?"

Angel looked up at her, as he started to turn to dust.

"Five by five."

And then he was gone.

"But you can't die... Angel!"

Spike, Vortigern & Mordred

Spike paused, then howled in grief as he felt the connection snap utterly. Vortigern blinked and then collapsed. Spike wailed, not noticing as Mordred picked his twin up.

"We are appeased," the demon intoned and then they turned and left.

Mordred looked at Spike, then at Faith.

"He needs a hospital."

Faith

Faith looked at Mordred.

"Yeah. There's a wing inside."

She turned and fled, leaping from one building top to the other.

She had to go kill something or she wasn't going to make it.

Fred came running up and worked out what happened and she took Spike's hand, crying.

"Come on, Spike."

Spike, Mordred & Nathan

Spike almost snapped out of, blinking at her, then he snarled and jumped for the next building. Blood would flow. And people would die.

Mordred followed Fred's scatterbrained directions down into the building to find the infirmary.

~*~*~*~

Elsewhere, Nathan carefully dragged Lindsey's limp body away so that the demons, when they came back, didn't kill him.

Faith and Gunn

Faith set into action, kicking, punching and staking, anything to keep busy.

Gunn appeared in the lobby and looked at Fred, who simply nodded.

He lowered his head, then stormed into his office, slammed the door and started throwing things around.

Mordred, Wesley & Serafina

Mordred laid Vortigern gently on the hospital bed he was directed to, then stepped back to let the doctor work.

Wesley closed his eyes, seeing Gunn and then retreated quietly into his office. He opened the bottom drawer and took out the bottle of alcohol, stared at it for a minute, then descively opened it.

"Slainte, Angel," he murmured, before raising it to his lips and drinking.

Serafina wailed, voice rising and falling in a litany of grief as she rocked on her bed. The thin small sound seeming to fill her room as she mourned.

Faith

Faith fought her tears, she wasn't crying.

She *wasn't*.

A snap and her shoulder dislocated, but still she ignored it, fighting through her pain.

Spike

Spike dropped from the rooftops like an angry bird, stake driving through the heart of Faith's oppenent.

"Let's dance, Slayer."

Faith

Faith ducked the punch from the vampire beside her, and pulled his arm, sending him flying head over heels.

Fred came into the infirmary, holding a clip board, and observing Vortigern. She nodded at the doctor.

"The acid is from a demon, but we have working on the cure. My people will be done..."

A young man ran into the wing, holding a small vial.

"Now."

Spike & Mordred

Spike moved with an easy grace, dodging her blows aimed at him and staking vampires. Stab, poof! Stab, poof!

He very rarely missed.

"Fix him, or your life won't be worth living," Mordred said to Fred quietly.

Faith

Fred nodded, and injected some of the antidote into Vortigern's arm.

Faith pushed past Spike and ran again.

Mordred & Spike

Mordred watched quietly, eyes edged with menace.

Spike followed her, face ridged and eyes burning.

"Here, Slayer..."

Faith

Fred bent to examine the burns, then bandaged them carefully.

"He'll be a little sore in the morning, but he'll be back to normal."

Faith turned and punched him hard, sending him through a wall.

"This is your fault," she yelled.

Mordred & Spike

Mordred nodded.

"I'll stay here."

"Gwen, love?"

"It is not my bloody fault Dangermousse had to go all Caped Crusader!" Spike yelled back, struggling to get out of the brick.

"I was ready to go with the kill the whole lot of them before they hurt any of us plan, but no! Peaches always had to be a selfsacrificing f*cking MARTYR!"

Faith and Gwen

Faith kicked him, keeping him down.

"They wouldn't have stopped... and you know it!"

Gwen cocked her head.

"Yeah? Vort ok?"

Mordred & Spike

"Vort will be fine."

Mordred hesitated.

"Angel's...dead. Dust."

"How could I know, Slayer bitch?!"

Spike kicked back out at her, catching her in the stomach.

"F*cking useless souled bastard! He always has to do the f*cking noble thing! Stupid bloody MICK!"

Faith and Gwen

Faith held his leg and spun him in the air, watching him hit the ground hard.

"Don't you f*cking talk about him that way, you have no f*cking right," she screamed.

Gwen's face paled, and she felt her eyes welling up.

"Fao, look after the twins. I'll be back soon."

She grabbed her car keys and left the house, jumping into the car and speeding away.

Spike

"I HAVE EVERY F*CKING RIGHT!" Spike roared at her, eyes weeping blood tears as he picked himself up.

"I have known him for longer then you have. He helped make me. I have every right."

He tensed himself, then threw his body at her in a bruising tackle.

Faith and Gwen

Faith pushed Spike off her and punched him hard.

"Fine."

She kneed him hard in the balls and ran off.

She didn't care if it killed her, she was going to run until she stopped wanting to cry.

Gwen slammed on the brakes and screamed out as the car spun out of control and hit a pole.

Her head slammed against the windscreen and blood spurted from her nose.

"Ah, f*ck."

Her eyes rolled up in her head as she passed out.

Spike & Mordred

Spike growled, cupping himself for a moment before he ran after her.

"F*CKING GET YER ARSE BACK 'ERE, SLAYER!"

Mordred's head snapped up.

"GWEN?!"

He didn't recieve an answer and he didn't know what to do. Vort was hurt, and here. Gwen was hurt, and elsewhere. Oh god.

Faith and Gwen

Faith leapt over a fence and kept going, weaving in and out of traffic.

Gwen's eyes fluttered and she groaned, feeling the blood trickle down from her temples.

Fred conversed briefly with the doctor.

"We could move him to a monitored room."

Spike & Mordred

Spike leapt the fence after her.

"Faaaaaaith...running away again? And this time there's no Angel to swoop down like Batman and save you."

Mordred nodded.

"Right."

He 'ported out to where he'd felt Gwen last. A car crash. Oh. Oh GOD.

Faith, Gunn and Gwen

Faith ignored him and kept going, feeling more and more tired as she kept going, but she wasn't going to stop.

Not yet.

Not until she was dead.

Gwen turned her head slightly, fingers weakly clutching at her side.

Gunn flipped out his phone, after having destroyed basically everything in his office and dialled the mansion.

Spike, Mordred & Jubilee

Spike growled, eyes a dangerous amber before he pulled her into an alley and threw her up against a wall.

"Stop wallowing in yer own bloody self pity! He's GONE! Get the f*ck over it! He wanted to do it!"

Mordred moved closer to the car and put his hand on her arm.

"Hang on, cariad."

He 'ported them both to the infirmary at Wolfram & Hart.

"LITTLE HELP!"

"Gooooood afternoon, Xavier's institute for Gifted Youngsters, Jubilation Lee speaking," Jubilee said, before blowing a pink bubble gum bubble.

Faith, Gunn and Gwen

Faith kicked him away from her, pulled out a knife and slashed across his chest.

"Just leave me alone."

Gunn rubbed his eyes.

"Hi, this is Charles Gunn from Wolfram and Hart, could I speak to Brand please?"

Fred came running out.

"Oh my."

She helped Mordred lay Gwen down and then signalled to some staff.

"She'll need X-Rays."

Spike, Mordred, Jubilee & Brand

"Why should I do that, Faith?" Spike sneered.

"Aw, look, the little girl's all upset. Lose another favourite toy? No one stays for Faith, they all leave her. How sad. Quite a Hallmark moment, isn't it? Should we get out some tea and have us a bonding moment?"

He kicked her in the chest, sending her flying.

Mordred nodded slightly, watching Gwen. Don't die on me again, cariad.

"I'll get him for you!" Jubilee chirped, rolling her eyes in disgust at her forced phone manner.

She put her hand over the phone.

"YO! BABE! PHONE!"

Brand came in, looking a little surprised.

"Who is it?"

"Someone called Charles Gunn."

"Ohhh. Must be something about Faith."

He went to get the phone off her and Jubilee held it back.

"I charge a toll. A kiss."

"That's meant to be a bad thing?"

Brand leant over and kissed her slowly, before she gave him the phone and skipped out. Still grinning like an idiot, Brand put the phone to his mouth.

"Hey, it's Brand here."

Faith, Gunn and Gwen

Faith turned and started to beat Spike up, in full Slayer strength, dodging his punches and basically intending to leave him a bloody globule.

Gunn sighed.

"Brand, bad news. Angel's... dust."

He swallowed.

"Look, Faith's gone missing. Run actually, and I don't know if we're going to be able to find her, so could you have the XMen get on it?"

Fred wheeled Gwen's bed into the X-Ray room and went to do that thing.

Gwen's body crackled, blue sparks shooting up.

And the room went black.

Spike, Brand & Mordred

"C'mon, Faith, you're punching like Buffy here," Spike jeered from bleeding lips.

He snapped a punch at her face.

"Oh, okay. I'll get the Professor to look for her right away."

Brand's voice went from happy/goofy to solemn/afraid in a heartbeat.

"Is she...do you think she'll be alright?"

"Bloody hell! What the f*ck was that?!" Mordred shouted in shock and anger.

Faith, Gunn and Gwen

Faith slashed his cheek with her knife, then drove it into this chest and twisted, before extracting it, and kicking him hard, sending him flying a few metres away, before she stalked over and hit him repeatedly.

Gunn sat down on what was left of his desk.

"I'm not sure. She looked unstable when she left."

Fred jumped slightly, getting a small shock.

"Ok, she short circuited the machine."

She flicked the backup generator on.

"We can't X-Ray her, but I can put her in a bed and get our X-Ray guy, like literally, to look her over. Problem is, he misses things all the time, which is why we don't use him a lot."

Spike, Brand & Mordred

Spike stared up at her from the ground, lips twisted into a smile.

"You know, back in the day, before the chip...I shoved a red hot poker through Angel's side? Felt good, too."

"Yeah, um...I'll go get the professor now."

Brand dropped the phone and ran off to find Xavier.

Mordred nodded slightly.

"Alright."

Faith and Gwen

Faith slammed Spike's head into the ground, knocking him out, before taking off again.

Fred wheeled Gwen's bed out into the infirmary and called for the guy.

He walked in and looked over Gwen for a few moments.

"Broken rib," he said.

"She has some bad bruisings though around her skull, and internal bleeding. That looks about it though."

Fred nodded.

"Ok, thank you."

She started to get to work.

Mordred

Mordred looked at Gwen, then skulked out quietly to check on Vortigern. His twin was still unconscious so he curled his hand around limp fingers.

"I can't do this without both of you. Come back, please."

Faith and Gwen

Faith collapsed somewhere in the dirt, far away from roads and any civilisation.

She coughed and retched, holding her stomach.

Fred stitched up the cut above Gwen's eyebrow and cleaned her up, and a few moments later, she came to, blinking slowly, and wincing.

Brand, Logan & Mordred

Brand ran back to the phone and picked it up.

"Hello? You still there?"

Logan went to find Ororo.

"I have really got to learn how to fly that Jet. We need to pick up Faith. She's kinda flipped out."

Mordred put down Vortigern's hand and went to Gwen's side.

"Cariad, you scared me."

Gunn, Storm and Gwen

"Yeah, I'm still here," Gunn answered, clearing his throat again.

Storm nodded.

"Alright. You going to get Hank?"

Gwen smiled weakly at him.

"I'm ok."

Brand, Logan & Mordred

"Professor Xavier found her, and he's sending Logan, and Storm, and Dr McCoy in the Jet now," Brand said.

"Chuck told him, he should be waiting for us," Logan said, turning to go to the Jet.

"Better be," Mordred murmured, fingers stroking along her cheek softly.

Gunn, Storm and Gwen

"Ok, well, get her to buzz us when she's back, ok?" Gunn said.

Storm nodded and followed him down to the Jet.

She went in and started it up, strapping her seatbelt in.

"Do we know where she is yet, Professor?"

Gwen turned her face away.

"So it wasn't a dream? Angel is..."

Brand, Xavier, Logan & Mordred

"Ya," Brand said.

"Right away, I swear. When they call back here."

"Here, Ororo," Xavier said softly, then gave her the co- ordinates.

"God speed."

Logan buckled himself in, jaw clenched and eyes burning. WHen he found out who had done this...

"No, he's gone," Mordred said gently.

Gunn, Storm and Gwen

"Thanks kid. Take care," Gunn replied, before hanging up.

Storm nodded and opened the basketball courts, then lifted them into the air, heading for somewhere just outside LA.

They were there in less than half an hour.

Gwen squeezed her eyes shut.

"Ok."

Mordred

Mordred swallowed slightly.

"I don't have anything to say that can help, cariad. He died, so that they wouldn't kill Vort."

Storm, Faith and Gwen

Storm opened the Jet's hatch and got out of her seat.

Faith looked up and hearing noises, she slowly got to her feet, wavering as she started to run again, holding her dislocated shoulder.

Gwen nodded.

"Always was very noble."

Logan, Hank & Mordred

Logan was down the runway before Hank had barely gotten the straps of his chair undone.

"Darlin'? C'mon, darlin', say something so I can hear ya."

Hank picked up his medical kit and followed more sedately.

Mordred nodded slightly.

"Yeah."

Faith, Storm and Gwen

Faith stopped running and looked up as thunder sounded. She hissed as she bumped her arm.

Storm's eyes were white as she lit up the sky, providing scant amounts of light for them.

Gwen's hand weakly grasped Mordred's.

"I thought..."

Logan & Mordred

Logan turned his head and then padded towards Faith slowly.

"Darlin'...come here."

"What did you think?" Mordred murmured.

Faith and Gwen

Faith turned and looked at Logan, shaking her head.

"Can't. Gotta keep going. Gotta find Angel."

Gwen turned away again.

"That if I went fast enough I could leave it behind. That when I got home, it wouldn't hurt anymore."

Logan & Mordred

"We can help you find him," Logan said gently.

"But you're no good to yourself all smashed up like ya are. C'mon and let Blue patch ya up."

Mordred sighed softly and rubbed her back gently.

Faith and Gwen

Faith walked over to him slowly.

"No use. Can't find him. Can't get to him. Doesn't matter if I'm hurt. Can't find him. Promised I would."

She turned to go again.

Gwen wiped her eyes.

"How's Vort?"

Logan & Mordred

"So, we'll help."

Logan put his hand on her arm and tugged her towards the plane gently.

"Still out of it," Mordred said.

Faith, Storm and Gwen

Faith let Logan pull her to the Jet and she walked in, and sat herself down, shivering violently.

Storm followed them in and sat down in the drivers seat.

Gwen nodded.

"But he'll be ok, yeah?"

Angel didn't die for no reason, right?

Logan, Hank & Mordred

Logan sat down near her, eyes worried as Hank came over.

"Let's get you cleaned up, shall we?" Hank murmured as he started to help her.

"He''ll be fine," Mordred said.

"I don't think the acid will even scar that badly."

Faith, Storm and Gwen

Faith shook her head.

"I'm ok. I need to..."

Storm started the Jet, and flew them back to the mansion.

"That's good to hear," Gwen said softly.

"The kids are home alone."

Logan, Hank, Mordred & Spike

Logan looked at Hank as the doctor finished bandaging an arm.

"She be alright, Blue?"

"She should be fine. Now, I would guess you would be quite famished, yes?"

"That's not good."

Mordred chewed his bottom lip.

"But I really don't wanna leave."

Spike limped in the front doors of the office building, bruised and bloody.

Faith and Gwen

Faith shook her head.

"I'm ok. I just need to go back out and patrol."

Gwen nodded.

"We can trust them for one night. Besides, there's so many enchantments and spells on our place that you'd be insane to break in."

Hank & Mordred

"Oh, my stars and garters, no!"

Hank shook his head firmly.

"YOu are staying here. I would be derelict in my duty if I let you do otherwise."

"And then there's the kids," Mordred said dryly.

Faith, Storm and Gwen

"I'm ok. I have to kill them. Kill them all," Faith said.

Storm landed in the hangar.

Gwen nodded.

"Our delightful children."

Fred ushered Spike into the infirmary.

"What happened to you?"

Hank, Logan & Spike

Hank shook his head.

"You are going to the medlabs so I can look after you."

"Do what the doctor says, darlin'," Logan said softly.

"Faith happened to me," Spike grunted, sitting down.

"Just get me some water so I can wash off the blood."

Faith

"But Angel needs me to patrol," Faith protested.

She stood and swayed slightly, looking close to passing out.

Fred nodded and went to do that, then went to her room so she could grieve. Finally.

Hank & Logan

Hank took her arm and ushered her down to the medlabs, Logan following closely.

"I'll do it," Logan said.

"You don't have to worry about a thing, darlin'."

Faith

"I have to find him. He's alone," Faith said vehemently.

"They were going to kill him."

Hank & Logan

"Raise your hand, please," Hank murmured before he took a needle and slid it into her vein, injecting a fast acting sedative.

"Darlin'...Gunn told Brand Angel was dead," Logan said gently.

Faith

"He's wrong," Faith half yelled.

"He has to be..."

Logan

"I don't think he would lie, darlin'," Logan said.

"Accept it. Then ya can deal with it."

Faith

"Angel can't die," Faith snapped.

"He has a gem, he can't. You're wrong. Gunn's wrong. He can't die."

Logan & Hank

"Darlin'..." Logan sighed.

Hank frowned slightly before administering a slightly stronger sedative.

Faith

Faith moved her arm away quickly and pushed Hank to the ground before jumping up and running out of the medlabs.

She had to go kill something.

Logan & Brand

Logan ran after her.

"Faith!"

Brand got out of the lift slowly, and his eyes widened as he saw her.

"FAITH!"

Faith

Faith blinked and looked at Brand and hopped into the lift, closing the doors and going up into the school.

Kurt & Toad

"Fraulien Faith?" Kurt said in a hesitant voice.

"Are you ok?"

"Maybe the Wolverine slapped her around a little," Toad jeered.

"What do yew tell a bird with two black eyes? Nuthin', yew've already told her twice!"

Faith

"I'm fine," Faith said.

She headed to the front doors, slower than before due to her injuries.

Kurt

"I do not think that is true, fraulien," Kurt observed as he trotted after her.

"Perhaps you should see Herr McCoy, ja?"

Faith

"I'm fine, I just need..."

Faith felt her body droop.

"I need some sleep. I'm just gonna go to my room, ok?"

She headed in that direction and closed her door, pushing all her furniture up against it.

She threw herself down on her bed, curling up in a little ball.

Angel had always come through for her... she couldn't stop him from dying, and she could still feel him turning to dust underneath her hands.

Faith retched again.

Kurt & Logan

Kurt looked worried as Logan came up to him.

"Where'd she go, fuzzy?"

"Her room, Herr Logan..."

Logan went up to the door and shoved it slightly. Damn.

"Think you can get me in, elf?"

"I cna try, Herr, but if I cannot see where I am going..."

"Try anyway."

Kurt nodded, and swallowed slightly as he put his hand on Logan's arm.

"Our Fajer, who art in Heaven..."

BAMF!

"Hallowed be Your name..."

"We made, you can stop praying now," Logan told him, stepping away.

Kurt nodded, looking around.

"Ja."

Then he quietly fainted.

Faith

Faith turned over, pulling her jacket around her body, still shivering.

She retched a few times.

Oh God, Angel was gone.

Logan

Logan glanced at the passed out German, then sat on the bed next to Faith. He reached out and rubbed her shoulder gently.

Faith

Faith sat up and threw her arms around Logan, burying her head in his shoulder.

Make it stop hurting, Logan, please make it stop...

Logan

"Ya're allowed to cry, darlin'," Logan murmured, still rubbing her back.

He kissed her forehead gently.

Faith

Faith's shoulders shook as she finally let herself cry for Angel.

Logan

Logan rocked her gently in his arms, letting her soak his shirt with tears.

"S'alright, darlin'..."

Faith

Faith looked up at him and kissed him desperately.

Logan

Logan kissed her back slowly, then pulled back.

"We need to get rid of fuzzy first."

Faith

Faith nodded.

"Ok."

Logan & Kurt

Logan got up and removed the furniture before shaking Kurt's shoulder.

"Elf, wake up."

"Ich möchte nicht zur Schule heute gehen, Mutter..." Kurt murmured. (I do not want to go to school today, mother)

"Wachen Sie, jetzt auf," Logan snapped. (Wake up now)

Kurt bolted upright, eyes wide.

"Jawohl!"

"Out!"

Kurt yipped and skidded out the door.

Faith

Faith closed the door and kissed Logan again, pulling him down onto the bed.
