Khaos and Gwen
Khaos watched Gwen and Mordred, curled up together on their bed, her face tucked into his neck, and an arm around his waist.
She noted their connection, and the bond they shared, and how strong it was when he was a wolf, and so, with a short incantation, Khaos turned Gwen into a wolf for the day.
~*~*~*~
Gwen's eyes shot open, and she jerked away from Mordred, feeling immense pain as her bones contracted and changed, brown fur sprouting from her body.
Her head fell forward, and after a few more moments of pain, Gwen pressed her nose against Mordred's cheek, whining softly.
Mordred
Mordred turned his head away sleepily.
"Fao, your nose is cold..."
Gwen
Oh man, this was not cool, what happened?!
One minute she'd been normal and now... she wasn't sure what she was, but she didn't like it.
Gwen pressed her nose against Mordred's neck and then licked him, growling.
God, wake up... and find out what's wrong with me...
Mordred
Mordred woke up, yawning.
"Fao, what..."
His voice died away in shock.
Gwen
Gwen nudged him with her snout.
Oh God, SNOUT?!
She whined again, hopping up on his chest with her front paws.
This was not good...
She whined again.
Mordred
Mordred scratched her ears hesitantly.
"Gwen, did you know you look like a wolf now?"
Gwen
Gwen nodded slightly, looking rather cute as she was a wolf, and she was nodding.
She licked his cheek.
Mordred, find out what's happened, I'm not usually a wolf...
Mordred
"I don't know...wait a second."
Mordred concentrated and let his wolf form take over.
"This is better. I don't know what's happened. Magic?"
Gwen
Gwen nuzzled Mordred with her head.
"I don't know. Why can't I turn back?"
Mordred
"If it's magic, maybe we should see Willow."
Mordred sighed and licked along her neck.
Gwen
"Good idea. Anyway, the kids need breakfast and I'm not really in the best shape to get that for them. So could you..."
Gwen jumped off the bed, padding around on her velvety paws.
"It's not that bad though, this being a wolf business."
Mordred
Mordred shifted upwards then started to get dressed.
"Yeah, good point."
He put his pants on.
"I wonder how long you're going to stay like this..."
Gwen
"Hopefully not long... I do kinda miss standing up."
Gwen waited for him to open the door, then padded out into the hallway, where she came face to face with Eavan and Bryant.
"Um... Dad... there's a wolf in the house."
Mordred
"I know, it's your mother."
Grinning slightly at the shock that statement caused, he headed downstairs to get his coffee. Damn, he needed it this morning.
Gwen
Gwen nudged Eavan with her nose, causing a little giggle from the girl, and then she padded down the stairs, moving slowly and gracefully as she went into the kitchen and curled up on the ground next to the backdoor, letting the sun warm her up.
"Da, can I ask what happened?" Bryant asked, following his mother into the kitchen and sitting next to her, scratching her ears.
Gwen growled softly in contentment.
Mordred
"We don't know what happened," Mordred said.
He drank his coffee thankfully.
"Ah."
Gwen
Gwen got up, and nudged Mordred's legs, looking up at him with big brown eyes.
"Hungry."
Mordred
"Human type food, or wolf food?" Mordred asked.
"We have both, I think."
Gwen
"Human please."
Gwen padded back over to her spot on the floor and endured more petting from the kids.
Mordred
Mordred made up Gwen's breakfast, then put it on the floor for her before he started to make the kids's breakfast.
"What do you two want?"
Gwen
Gwen went about eating, licking at the food, then eating it properly.
Bryant and Eavan both looked at Mordred together.
"Bacon," they said in unison.
Mordred
Mordred shrugged and bent to get a frying pan out of the cupboard, then got bacon out of the fridge.
Soon, the scent of cooking filled the air.
Gwen
"Isn't Fao up yet?" Eavan asked.
Gwen rose, finished breakfast and prowled around the kitchen.
"I can get him if you want."
Mordred
Mordred glanced out the window over the sink.
"He's in the backyard, sunnapping."
Gwen
Gwen growled her thanks when Bryant opened the door for her, and she bounded out, sniffing around the garden.
"Fao!"
Faolan
"S'up, Mum?"
Faolan's tail twitched languidly as the cat lazed in the sun.
"You're a wolf today. Huh."
Gwen
"Mmm, I have no idea what's going on."
Gwen went sniffing around the garden, then padded back over to Fao and nudged him with her nose.
"Hmm, you need a bath, Fao. I'll go tell your father to catch you."
Faolan
"I do not need a bath."
Faolan leapt off the rock he was reclining on and disappeared into the garden plants.
Gwen
"Mordred! Fao needs a bath, I'm just about to fetch him."
Gwen chuckled inwardly, then padded through the garden, sniffing Fao out.
She jumped on top of a rock, then spotting him, she bounded in front of him and scooped him up by the head using her mouth.
"Bath time."
Mordred
"Alright, cariad," Mordred replied with amusement.
"No!" Faolan objected.
He twisted in her grip and swiped at her nose with a paw.
Gwen
Gwen held on tightly and bounded back to the house, dropping Fao in front of Mordred's feet, wagging her tail slightly, looking pleased with herself.
Mordred
Faolan hit the ground and zoomed out the kitchen door in a blur of black fur.
"He really doesn't like baths, does he?" Mordred said in amusement as he served the twins their breakfasts.
Gwen
"Guess not."
Gwen went into the living room and settled herself down on the soft carpet, curling up and laying down.
Bryant pointed at her and giggled something to Eavan.
Mordred
"Must be a cat thing."
Mordred sat down with his own breakfast and started to eat.
Gwen
Gwen nodded sleepily, yawning.
"So... we're keeping her this way?" Eavan asked.
Mordred
"I don't think so," Mordred said.
"We don't know how it happened, but we're going to see Willow after breakfast."
Gwen
Gwen sniffed the air, then went upstairs to investigate the strange smell.
She walked into her bedroom and jumped on the bed, smelling it carefully.
Man, their bed stunk of sex and blood.
Mordred
Mordred cleaned up after breakfast, then got the kids dressed.
Except for Fao. The kitten was hiding somewhere in case he got bathed.
Gwen
Gwen followed Mordred's scent until she found him, and prssed her nose to his hand.
Mordred
"Hey, cariad."
Mordred scratched behind her ears.
"Fao, we're going to Willow's. We don't have time for baths at the moment, it's safe to come out."
Gwen
Gwen grumbled in contentment and licked Mordred's hand.
"You smell good."
She sniffed at his pants.
Mordred
"Ah...thank you?" Mordred said.
Faolan peeked around the door suspiciously.
"No baths?"
"Not now."
"Good enough."
Gwen
Eavan and Bryant held onto Gwen and Mordred and waited patiently.
Mordred
Faolan put his hand on Mordred's and waited. Mordred concentrated and 'ported them to the Slayer house in NY.
"Willow?"
Willow, Oz and Gwen
Willow came downstairs and took in the sight, Oz behind her.
Oz felt himself shift into werewolf form, and padded over to Gwen, sniffing her carefully.
"Gwen?"
"Yeah, it's me. Hoped your girl could work out why I'm like this."
"It's not a full moon, so you can't be..."
"Yeah, don't worry, I don't recall getting bitten by a wild dog. I'm not stealing your thunder."
Oz chuckled.
Willow looked confused.
"Well, I could examine her, if you want..."
Mordred
A warning growl rumbled up through Mordred's throat before he could stop himself.
"Yeah. It's kinda confusing and I think Gwen likes being human."
Willow, Oz and Gwen
"Oh, oh, oh, yes of course," Willow stammered, after hearing Mordred growl.
"If you'd... Oz, can you take her into the lab room?"
Oz growled his response and looked at Gwen.
"Coming?"
Gwen followed after him, tail swishing slightly.
"Your girl smells good. Powerful."
"Does, doesn't she?" Oz replied almost dreamily.
The two wolves went into Willow's make shift science lab and Gwen hopped up on the examination table.
Oz shifted back into human and waited for the others.
Mordred
Mordred followed, hands shoved into his pockets.
Faolan poked Eavan in the side.
"Come on. I'll show you some of the neatest toys."
The kids ran off to Andrew's room to play with his action figures.
Willow, Oz and Gwen
Willow walked in and had Gwen roll on her stomach.
"You sure you wanna go back? You're very cute this way," Willow told her.
Oz looked at Willow.
"Sorry, but she is."
Gwen growled slightly and Willow jumped, getting out some equipment to run tests.
Mordred
"She's cute anyway."
Mordred shifted and put his paws up on the bed, nosing at Gwen slightly.
"You alright, mo cariad? I think the kids are terrorizing Andrew."
Gwen and Willow
Gwen licked Mordred's nose.
"I'm good, just a little with the wanting to be human."
Willow brought out a needle.
"This might sting a little..."
She gently jabbed the needle into Gwen and drew some blood.
Gwen whimpered.
Mordred
Mordred bared his teeth and growled quietly at Willow.
Gwen and Willow
Gwen licked Mordred's nose again, nuzzling him with her head.
Willow pulled her hand away from Mordred, fearing she might get bitten.
She took the sample of blood and put it on a slide under a microscope and peered in.
Mordred
Mordred licked Gwen's muzzle softly.
"Alright?"
Gwen and Willow
"Yep."
Gwen rested her head against Mordred.
Willow peered into the microscope.
"Odd."
She looked again, then grabbed a book and flicked through it.
Gwen looked up at Willow, then at Mordred.
"You know, sex this way could be interesting..."
Mordred & Andrew
Mordred barked a laugh.
"One track mind."
Andrew entered his bedroom and his mouth dropped open. Three children looked up from where his action figures were scattered across the floor and a grande battle royale was apperantly in progress.
"Ahhhhhhh!"
"Scatter!" Faolan yelped and shifted, diving between Andrew's legs and running away.
Gwen and Willow
"Come on, don't you want me?" Gwen said, wagging her tail slightly.
She licked his muzzle slowly.
Willow furrowed her eyebrows, and muttered an incantation.
Gwen shifted into a cat and she meowed in surprise.
"Ok, that obviously didn't help!"
Willow nodded and tried again.
Gwen went back to being a wolf.
Mordred
"Unsettling."
Mordred licked her muzzle comfortingly.
Gwen and Willow
Gwen growled contentedly, licking Mordred's nose.
"I have no idea," Willow said.
"Looks like magicks, but I can't tap into them to change it. I figure it'll go away, it didn't change your DNA pattern, so I assume this will change."
Gwen and Willow
Gwen yawned and rested her head on her paws.
"Do you want to stay here... or..."
Eavan and Bryant squealed as they were caught.
Mordred & Andrew
"Don't care."
Mordred stared into her eyes.
"Ah ha!"
Andrew looked at Eavan and Bryant.
"Ok...who do you belong to?"
Gwen
"Mordred and Gwen, you can't hurt us!" they said smugly.
Gwen sniffed at Mordred.
"Love you."
Andrew
"I wouldn't hurt you anyway. Just stay out of my room!"
Andrew turned and walked off, muttering.
"Never having kids..."
Gwen and Willow
Eavan and Bryant whooped and they went downstairs again.
Gwen got up and hopped off the table, looking cute and wolfy as she padded from the room, following the strange smells.
Willow chased after her.
"Better not, one of the Slayers is likely to shoot you."
Mordred
Mordred loped after Gwen.
"They wouldn't be slayers for very long."
Gwen
Gwen found Eavan and Bryant and sat with them, waiting for Fao and Mordred.
"Home?"
Mordred
Mordred 'ported them all home and they waited for Gwen's wolfness to wear off. The kids had a lot of fun with Gwen while she was walking around on four legs.
