Libby
The bell rang and Mrs Ryan opened the door.
"Oh, hello boys, I suppose you want Libby?"
"Yep," Josh replied.
"Mmm... Libby?" Mrs Ryan called. "Your friends are here!"
Libby bounded out into the lounge.
"Hey Lib, the Reds challegned us to basketball, and we all know that that means," Matt greeted.
"Ooooh, indeedy," Libby replied, her eyes lighting up.
She grabbed her cap, put it on backwards and headed out the door.
"Bye Mum! Be be later!"
And she departed with Josh, Matt, Millsy and Daniel to the basketball court. Mrs Ryan closed the door with a sigh.
"Honey, I don't know what to do."
"About what?" asked Mr Ryan.
"Libby. Those boys are the only people she hangs around with. Since Avery moved back home, she hasn't had an female friends."
Mr Ryan nodded slowly.
"And she's only thirteen!" Mrs Ryan went on. "She should be experimenting with clothes and make up and such, not, not -"
"Galivanting off with a group of boys, looking very little different to them and wearing her cap backwards?"
"Exactly. And what's more... this is a space station... there are no need for hats at all."
Mr Ryan chuckled.
