Logan & Jubilee
Logan stepped back through the portal and stood in his bedroom as he watched it disappear. He bared his teeth in an angry snarl, then rummaged under his bed for a beer. Despite it being not cold they way he liked it, he drank it anyway then threw the empty bottle in the bin. It shattered and Logan came out of his room, body language stating clearly that the Wolverine was not in a good move and to just back the f*ck away.
Jubilee walked down the hall, looking hesitant as she approached him. "Yo, Wolvie, you got a phone call. Batman called from his Vampire Bat Cave to say that Airlia had flown there and not to worry."
Logan nodded slightly and altered direction to use the phone in Xavier's office. Jubilee trotted along at his side, chewing gum quietly. He picked up the phone and dialled Angel's private number.
"Find me a cigar, Firecracker."
"Sure thing, Wolvie."
Jubilee disappeared and Logan waited for Angel to pick up.
Angel
"Wolfram and Hart, this is Angel," Angel said, a little hesitantly.
He glanced over at Airlia and smiled faintly.
Logan
"Logan," the mutant said curtly.
"I found out something about Faith."
Angel
Angel sat up straighter.
"Really? Good, because I cant get anything out of Eve. Where is she?"
Logan
"Valhalla," Logan said flatly.
"I've just spent most of the day there."
Angel
"Oh..."
Angel sighed.
"I'll get Wes on it, but if the Valkyrie's have chosen her, then there's not a lot we can do."
Logan
"They said it was the Senior Partners keeping her there," Logan said.
"How do we kill them?"
Angel
"Senior Partners? Oh easier said than done."
Angel sighed slightly.
"I've never seen them. Eve's the liasion, but I'm not even sure she's seen them."
Logan
"Find out," Logan said softly.
Angel
"Dammit, Logan, don't you think I've been trying?"
Angel's voice cracked slightly with grief, and Airlia woke up, looking around.
Logan
"Try harder," Logan snarled.
"Otherwise I *will* be going feral."
Angel
Angel rubbed his eyes.
"Look, I'll get Wes on it."
He buzzed for Wesley.
"And I'll see what Gunn and Fred can find."
Logan & Wesley
Logan just growled softly, a soft predatory and very angry sound.
Wesley rubbed his eyes tiredly as he got up and went to see what ANgel wanted.
"Yes, Angel?"
Angel
"Can yo research all you can about Valhalla?"
Angel looked at the phone.
"Logan said that's where Faith... she is."
Airlia looked up from the couch and brushed her hair away from her eyes.
She looked remarkably like Faith.
Logan
"Bunch of stuck up repressed Nazi bitches running the place," Logan growled.
Wesley nodded and turned to go.
"I'll go do that."
Angel
"Wesley's on it. We'll get her back."
Angel rubbed his temples slightly.
"How was she?"
Logan
"Bored, frustrated and pissed off," Logan said.
"Don't blame her."
Angel and Gunn
Angel allowed himself a tiny smile.
"Sounds like her."
He looked up as Gunn came into the office.
"What is it?"
"Found some really old contracts in the Wolfram and Hart archives, some mention of Valkyries and Slayers. But..."
"But?"
"They're behind strong barriers. Fred's hacking into the system now."
Logan
Logan ran his fingers through his hair, teeth gritted slightly.
"Either we get her out, or she'll find a way to get herself out."
Angel
"Wesley might find way to send me to Valhalla, so hope isn't gone."
Angel went over and sat by Airlia.
Logan
"They came and got me," Logan said.
"And I'm still not sure why."
Angel
"She was probably making too much fuss. That's Faith for ya."
Angel smiled.
Logan
"Ah, hell," Logan said softly.
"Me and Faith...you're alright with it? Alright with her being with a man who's sometimes more animal then human? Someone who can't remember past the last 15 years? I don't even know how old I truly am...what memories I have that are real. What aren't. I know you're important to her..."
Angel
Angel sighed.
"Look, Faith and I are unlike anything I've ever had before. Mutual trust. She's important to me, and I'd like to think I was to her. But we're not in love. In some ways, she's my world, but not in the romantic sense. We love each other, but we're not in love. So I don't have a problem with you being with her. But if you hurt her, I will find a way to kill you."
Logan
Logan almost grinned.
"I can be harder to kill then you might think. But if I hurt her, I might let you."
Angel
Angel nodded.
"She's... I don't know. Most of the time I really wanna punch her out, but she does have that affect on people."
Logan
Logan chuckled slightly.
"Yeah, she is like that..."
Angel
"We'll get her back."
Angel sighed again.
Logan
"Better," Logan said curtly, gruff tone hiding his frustrated grief and rage.
"Call me when you find something."
Angel
"I will."
Angel glanced up as Harmony came in with some blood.
"Thanks for the heads up."
Logan
"No problem, bub," Logan said.
"Talk to you then."
Angel
Angel made a short noise, then hung up, rubbing his eyes.
"It'll be ok, Boss!" Harmony chirped, having no idea what was going on.
Angel ignored her and looked over the files.
Logan & Jubilee
Logan hung up the phone and rested his head in his hands for a moment, before looking up as the door opened. Jubilee came back in and he smiled at her faintly as he stood.
"C'mon, I'll let you try and beat me in the Danger Room."
"Hey! I can too beat you!" Jubilee protested and followed him to it.
