"Late last night in Tulsa, a transient was murdered," the news announcer said, looking into the camera with a serious expression.
A photo of Ewan when he was alive flashed onto the screen, cocky grin on his face and red hair falling across his green eyes. A camera was looped around his neck and held in one hand, obviously professional quality.
"The man, who has been tentavely identified by police as Ewan MacCloud was a United Kingdom national, in the US on a Green Card which had expired several months ago. A freelance photographer, he had contacted several publishers about making a book he called 'Lunar struck', which seems to have dealt mostly with the werewolf myth. The photographs have been recorded with startling realism. His past work also seems to have been of exceptionally high quality, marking this as the death of one of the most promising photographers of this age."
She put her hands together as she gazed into the camera.
"His death according to prelimanary police reports was horrific, and his body was mutilated after death. Several incisions into the abdominal cavity were made and after that, the perpertator removed organs and muscle tissue. His hands and feet also seem to have been dipped into acid or a similair substance, and the knife that was used on his body treated with it as well. Despite reports of dogs in the area, no bitemarks or other indicators of a canine attack have been found. Anyone with any infomation should contact police immediately, as the perpertrator must be considered armed and highly dangerous."
Her face was replaced by the Tulsa's head of police, looking worried as he spoke in a media conference.
"All efforts are being made to find the perpertrator of this particularily vicious murder. If anyone has any infomation, please contact police immediately. If you think you know who the person is, do not *under any circumstances* attempt to deal with them as a civilian. It is our duty to make sure that no one else falls prey to this possible serial killer."
"Possible serial killer?"
One of the journalists jumped on that.
"You mean, this may not have been the first murder by this person?"
The officer looked tired and old.
"We have reason to believe the person who killed Ewan MacCloud may have been involved in another murder. That's all you're getting today, good day."
He turned and went back inside the police building, leaving the journalists shouting behind him for more infomation.
"The victim was found with a woman who refuses to give her name and was lacking any form of identification," the news anchor continued as the screen flipped back to her.
A picture of Natalia showed, then moved to the corner to allow the woman to continue talking while the picture stayed in view.
"She is according to physicians, roughly five months pregnant and seems to have been the de facto partner of the murdered man. If anyone watching this knows her identity, please contact police. She is currently being held by the state as a possible witness and suspect to Ewan MacCloud's murder."
