"Oh, Ike you're here," Diana said as her son entered the kitchen. "A parcel just arrived for you."

"Oh cool," Isaac said.

He reached over the bench and picked up the box. It was from YIRAAS - probably the space station as it was stamped from Houston. He unwrapped it.

"All right!" He exclaimed.

"What?" asked Diana curiously.

Isaac was grinning like an idiot.

"It's one of those electronic book things," Isaac explained. "Except this one is the YIRAAS design."

"Ahh," Diana nodded. "I didn't know you ordered one. And why would the YIRAAS make their own anyway? Humans have been working on the things for ages."

"Yeah, well, they haven't really taken off because nothing beats a good book. It's a security measure - you have to join the YIRAAS book club and you get this membership card," upon which Isaac held up a little card. "And the card lets you operate the electronic book. I think they're going to let Mutants and such join too. I think it's to make sure that... ahh... unauthorised people don't read any of these stories."

"What stories, exactly?"

"Well... along with the movies that are being made on the station, they're also introducing our own novels," Isaac said, pulling out a handful of disks. "See? All these are stories about Daths and Sems. And probably the Adigeis in the future."

"I see. What stories have you got?"

"Let me see. 'Sometimes somewhere', 'I was in love with a human' - okay that's a romance novel. 'Fire scare' and 'Haven'."

"Hmm, you'll have to let me know if they're any good. I may join," Diana then paused. "When did you hear about all this? It's the first I've heard of it."

"Oh, well," Isaac shuffled his foot tentatively. "I've kinda been involved. There'll probably be a formal annoucement in the next newsletter."

He started gathering his package up and backing towards the door.

"Personally I think it's cool that they have four stories out already."

"Involved how?" Diana asked.

But Isaac was unwilling to give an answer, and left the room.
