Gwen
Gwen woke up and looked over next to her. Mordred had finally fallen asleep. She opened the drawer in the bedside table and pulled out a video. She put it in Mordred's lap, and then she reached over slowly, her breathing laboured, and held onto his hand.
"I love you, darling boy."
She smiled slightly and closed her eyes, and a moment later, the room was less one heartbeat.
Mordred.
Mordred woke up a few minutes later.
"Gwen? GWEN!"
He cradled her cooling body in his arms and howled his grief. He didn't let go of her until the ambulance paramedics sedated him and took her body away to the morgue.
