Clark and Dawn
Clark and Dawn had been in New York for two days when they showed up for classes. Scott and Jean had come over to their house the day before, when Dawn had called to say they were in town. Scott was amazed. In a month and a half, the pair had healed completely. Dawn was bubbly and laughing all the time, always smiling. And Clark himself seemed lighter. He always seemed as if the weight of the world was on his shoulders, but now it seemed Dawn was lightening him up.
"You ready for this, Kintôné? They weren't very nice to you before."
"Eh, whatever. If somebody wants to hold a grudge, let them. To be honest, I had forgotten all about that. If I'm that important, that people are going out of their way to hate me, then I feel sorry for them." Dawn smiled and kissed her boyfriend before they went into PHysics class, where most of their classmates were already sitting down.
"Dawn, Clark, I'm glad you're back," Professor Xavier welcomed them. "You've missed some material, but you can catch up." Dawn gave the older man a quick hug of welcome, a huge smile on her face, and they sat down.
Kitty looked at them. That was Dawn? It sure didn't look like Dawn. She gave a closer look, and realized it did sort of look like Dawn, though her eyes and haircolour were different.
