Jessica
Jessi smiled as she sat on the sofa watching sappy romantic movies. Valentine's Day without boyfriends, that was the way to go, absolutely. Suddenly, she was inspired. She was going to make supper for her whole family.
She tied back her hair and went to the kitchen. She thought for a moment, and then decided that Italian was the way to go. She made stuffed shells, spaghetti and meatballs with a red sauce, garlic bread, and grated some fresh parmesan. Lighting candles on the dinig room table, she called out.
"Supper!"
Isaac and Diana
"Jess?" Diana inquired.
Then she looked around at the food prepared.
"Why, Jessi!" she exclaimed. "This was very thoughtful of you."
Isaac poked his head in then too.
"Are you trying to show me up?" Isaac joked.
Jessica
Jess blushed. "It's Valentine's Day/ You're supposed to show your affection for the people you care about, and do something nice. Plus, I felt like getting my hands dirty. I like to cook." SHe hugged her oldest brother, and her mom.
"I love you Mommy. It's glad to have you back to normal. Heck, it's glad to have ME somewhat back to normal," she chuckled.
Isaac and Diana
"Just teasing," Isaac grinned. "Smells really good."
Diana smiled and hugged her daughter.
"Yes it is," she agreed.
Jessica
"Where's everybody else? Tay, Daddy, Avie, and the little ones? Zac's probably with Faith. Oh, well, I suppose we should dig in before it gets cold." She kissed Ike's cheek. "I'm starved." She decided to be all fancy, and pulled the chair out for her mother.
Walker
"Everyone should be on their way, of course," Walker smiled as he came down the stairs.
He stopped at the bottom and smelt the air, before making his way into the diningroom.
"Jessica... I approve. Trying to show Isaac up now, are you?"
Isaac and Diana
"See?" Isaac joked. "Even Dad thinks so."
The Hansons sat down at the table.
"Well," said Diana. "Shall we say grace?"
Walker
"Not everyone is here," Walker amended.
"We should wait for the others. Taylor may be an exception, he's not yet hungry."
Jessica
"Otay," Jessi said in hernow bubbly fashion. SHe gave her father a hug.
"Happy Valentine's Day, Daddy. Love you."
Walker
"Love you too, sweetheart."
Mouse.
"She's not sure. They've either had telepath blocks or been telepaths themselves," Mouse said.
"But they've been watching the house. They could have been hired by Blakesley."
Taylor
Taylor gulped, and covered his eyes with his other hand.
"God, I..."
He hesitated, then scratched his chin.
"Please, be careful. And keep the kids around Riss and Bee all the time. I know they're both shielded, but... you know. You and Keltie aren't."
Mouse.
"Sabre wouldn't have sent her if he thought she couldn't take care of herself," Mouse said.
"And me and the babies. I'll be careful, I promise. That's why I haven't really had a chance to go out on my Christmas present yet."
Walker
Then Walker stood.
"I'd better go find what's keeping Mackenzie. And I'll check on Avery - see if she wants to come down."
He made his way upstairs.
