Rebekah
Rebekah went into the music room, when most of the students had gone to bed, holding a pen and a notepad. She walked over to the piano slowly and lifted the lid, running her hand lightly over the keys, closing her eyes slightly.
Faces danced through her mind, fragmented memories of times with Ian, Filipo and Terence. And now that she thought about it, their time together had been too short. Much too short.
Rebekah opened her eyes slowly, and brushed away a few tears. She lifted her fingers onto the piano once more, and she started to play out a tune. A slow sound, almost mournful in times, but seemingly haunting and reminiscent.
She scribbled down the notes and kept playing, until she'd finished the piece. But what to call it?
"Mummy? I miss Daddy."
"Can we still see him?"
"Just close your eyes."
Rebekah played through the piece again, the strange haunting melody floating through the mansion.
