Julie
Julie's eyes opened.
She stared up at the ceiling and blinked for a moment.
Memories came flooding back and she groaned. She attempted to sit up, but just got dizzy from doing it so quickly after being lying down for a month, and laid down again.
She wasn't in pain though... and yet... she was in the medlab...
Well, being human, she knew touching Rogue would out her in a coma.
Oh dang... how long had she been in a coma?
"Hello?" she called, her voice weaker than she expected.
Probably just needed some water.
Bobby
Bobby's ears pricked up.
"JULIE!!! Hank! Julie's up!"
Hank.
"My, oh my..."
Hank hurried out of his office and to her side.
"Lie down...you've been out for quite a while. Would you like some water? Try not to talk too much yet."
Julie
Julie nodded as she laid back down on the bed.
"Please," she said.
She glanced over at Bobby and gave him a curious look.
Bobby
Bobby grinned sheepishly.
"I broke my hip. And pelvis. I fell off the roof. But yay, you're awake! You know, I've been talking to you while you were asleep, telling you what was happening on the Smurfs, but you didn't appear to be very interested."
Hank.
"He's trying to convert me on the subject of cartoons," Hank said.
He got Julie a glass of water and gave it to her.
"Here."
Julie
"Thanks," Julie said.
She sipped carefully at the water.
"How long has it been?"
Bobby
"It's been too long, Julie. Way too long."
Bobby looked at her as best he could.
"How are you feeling?"
Hank
"Today's the...8th of Febuary," Hank said gently.
"Bobby, I'll be right back with your painkillers."
He disappeared into his office.
Julie
"February!" Julie gasped. "I've been in a coma for a month?"
She gulped down some more water.
Bobby
"Yeah. A long month. I missed you."
Bobby shrugged.
"But it's ok, you got a month of school. Xavier is still making me do work. He's like an evil villian, watching over me, stroking a white cat. Please don't smote me, Xavier!"
Octavian
Octavian bounced into the medlab.
"Bobby, I-"
He saw Julie and grinned.
"You're awake! Smashing!"
Julie
Julie grinned.
"Hi Tav," she said. "Yes I'm awake. Just a few minutes ago, actually. What's been happening?"
Bobby
"Well, Papa Smurf and Smurfette had a bit of a heart to heartm because she was feeling a little sad about Gargarmel... oh, in the real world? Well, Hank and I went on a twinkie bender and woke up in a bath full of twinkies. Rogue slept with Gambit, Bek hooked up with Jono. Everyone Bek has ever loved died, which I shouldn't say so casually, Tav keeps me company and... you're hot."
Octavian.
"Oh yes, Jono was very broken hearted for ages and then he hooked up with BEk and that seems to be cruising along famously," Octavian said.
"We went on a ski trip, had an orgy thanks to Bek's powers, I did Dem, it was all wild."
He nodded.
Julie
"You had an orgy and didn't invite me?" Julie joked. "I'm hurt!"
She shook her head.
"I can see I have a lot of catching up to do. Hang on... you broke your pelvis?"
Bobby
Bobby let out a mournful moan.
"Yes, and it hurts and you weren't here to kiss it better! Julieeeeeee, I missssssseeeeeeeeeed you!"
Octavian.
"What am I, a decorative piece?" Octavian said.
"Now I'm hurt, really I am. Who's been blowing you on a daily basis just so you could have sex, hmmm? Bad Bobby."
Julie
"You mean I slept through that?" Julie asked. "Damn it, you should have woken me!"
She grinned broadly.
"As soon as Hank lets me up, I'll jsut have to kiss it better, won't I?"
Bobby
"Oh you know I love you Tav, and I am grateful. But you and Julie have very different techniques. You have to admit, you missed Julie too."
Bobby pouted.
"I love you both and now you're up Julie! Hooray!"
Octavian
"Yes, huzzah," Octavian said dryly.
"How are you feeling, Julie? We beat the shit out of Dirk. I broke his arm. And his nose. And Bobby broke some fingers."
Octavian smiled proudly.
Julie
Julie's face darkened.
"Bastard," she growled.
Then a small smile crossed her face.
"Well, it's nice to know I have two such avid protectors."
Bobby
"We would do anything for you, you should know that by now, Julie."
Bobby nodded.
"Oh... and... he um... Dirk's not around so much anymore."
He looked away.
Octavian
Octavian smiled.
"The funeral was on...the 20th, I think. I didn't go."
Julie
"He's dead?" Julie asked. "Oh good. That means I don't have to look at him any more. You think maybe later we can spit oh his grave?"
She chewed her lip and felt tears pricking at her eyes. She may have been asleep over a month, but the memories were fresh as if they only happened yesterday,
Bobby
"Tav, hug her for me. And feel her up, because let's be honest, that's what I would've done."
Bobby sighed.
"We should talk later, too, Julie. About... that."
He figured he may as well share his little killing secret with her.
Octavian
Octavian walked across to Julie and hugged her gently, before kissing her softly.
"Welcome back. We missed you."
Julie
Julie smiled and kissed him back softly.
"Thank you," she said wiping a tear from her eye. "Anything else I should know?"
Bobby
"Ummmmmm, well... I died my hair to a lighter brown. Do you like it?"
Bobby nodded and then whined.
"I want to hug Julie. Julieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!"
Octavian
Octavian chuckled slightly.
"See, Julie addiction. He's been miserable. Oh, and the reason he has a broken hip is because he climbed up onto the roof after me and then fell off."
Julie
Julie giggled.
"Aww poor Bobby. Well, hopefully I'll be able to do something about those withdrawal symptoms soon."
She gave him a wink.
"What were you doing on the roof?"
Bobby
"Do you know how awful this has been, Julie? No I don't think you do. I missed you! And I was just... you were over there, and I couldn't walk, but the amount of times I was tempted to slap you with my penis to try and wake you up..."
Bobby grinned.
"Kidding. I did kiss you in hopes of being Prince Charming, but that didn't work either."
Octavian
"You romantic, you," Octavian said dryly.
He kissed Julie again as Hank came back with the pills for Bobby.
"Here..."
He handed Bobby the pills and a glass of water.
Julie
Julie giggled.
"Can I get up now Dr McCoy?" she asked.
She paused briefly.
"There isn't any... umm, permanant damage... is there?"
Bobby
Bobby took his pills and looked a little drowsy.
"Thank you Hank. You are the greatest ever. My own Papa Frums. I mean Smurf. Juuulieeee, you're so pretty."
Octavian
Octavian smiled slightly, and got up.
"I'll go. I have homework to do."
Hank shook his head.
"Nothing permanent. Your muscles will be weak after such a long period of inaction, but the other injuries are nearly completely healed..."
Julie
Julie nodded.
"Thank you," she said to Hank. "And thank you Bobby, you flatterer you."
She took another sip of water and slowly sat herslef up again.
Bobby
"Well, I missed you. A lot."
Bobby looked over at Octavian.
"Bye Tav! Thanks for coming. Or thank you for me coming. You know."
Octavian
Octavian smiled briefly.
"Not a problem, Bobby."
He sketched a salute with his fingers, then left. Now Julie was awake, he was wondering how long it would take the two of them to just say they were going out and tell him to get lost...
Hank coughed slightly.
"I'll leave you two to catch up..."
Julie
Julie smiled.
"Thanks, Dr McCoy," she smiled. "Hmm, so how long is Bobby gonna be in traction?"
Hank
Hank blinked at her.
"Another few weeks."
Bobby
"Damn."
Bobby smiled at Hank.
"Well, how long is Julie down here?"
Hank
Hank looked thoughtful.
"Until I'm satisfied she's well. A few weeks, perhaps."
Julie
Julie nodded.
"Probably best," she said.
She gave Bobby a small smile.
Bobby
Bobby gave a huge smile to Hank.
"So, can Julie and my beds be moved together and we can watch cartoons!"
Hank
Hank laughed.
"Easiest to move Julie's..."
Hank moved across to Julie's bed and moved it with her in it easily over to near Bobby's bed.
"Better?"
Julie
Julie giggled.
"Aww yay. Such a great view from here," she smiled. "Of the TV. Ahem. Would it be too much to ask for something to eat? I'm starting to feel hungry."
Bobby
"I wish I could eat yo - yeah. Food. Oh yeah... um Julie..."
Bobby looked at Hank.
"You have a bun in the oven."
Hank
Hank glared at Bobby, then coughed slightly.
"Despite the inappropriate method Bobby has used to inform you of this, it is true. You're pregnant."
Julie
Julie stared, then started shaking her head violently.
"No, no, no, no, no, no, no," she said. "No, it can't be. It can't be! I... I haven't had a period for a whole freaking year! It's impossible!"
Bobby
"I've never had my period. Obviously. Those drugs are good."
Bobby laughed and then coughed.
"Sorry."
Hank
"Nevertheless, you are pregnant," Hank said.
He looked uncomfortable.
Julie
"But... but it's impossible," Julie objected. "I... I was breastfeeding -"
Then her eyes widened.
"Oh my gosh. Oh. My. Gosh."
She laid back down as she realised... oh damn it... she wasn't breastfeeding during camp... the twins were at the mansion. Were 3 weeks enough to put her back?
Bobby
"Hey, don't worry about it. Easy for me to say, I know."
Bobby reached over and patted her arm.
Hank
"The pregnancy isn't very far along," Hank said.
"A month, perhaps two..."
Julie
"That would fit," Julie thought.
She sniffed, fighting back tears.
"I'm pregnant again," she said softly.
Her father was going to kill her.
Uh oh.
Father.
Who was the father?
Bobby
"It'll be ok," Bobby said, touching her hair.
"I'll help ya."
Hank
"Professor Xavier is not likely to throw you out onto the street," Hank said.
"It will be alright, Julie."
Julie
Julie managed a small laugh.
"Thank you," she said softly. "I just... I... thank you."
It could be Bobby. Although Octavian was also a definite possibility. Actually... so was Angelo. And Avalanche. Sergei? Maybe... but unlikely.
Oh damn.
Not Dirk.
Please, not Dirk!
Bobby
"It's all good."
Bobby shrugged.
Hank
Hank nodded slightly, then polished his glasses.
"I have work to do...if neither of you two have an immediate need of me...?"
Julie
"No, thank you," Julie replied.
She wasn't feeling so hungry any more.
Bobby
Bobby looked at Julie.
"You ok?"
Hank
Hank tactfully disappeared into his office and shut the door.
Julie
Julie chewed her lip.
"The... what... Bobby... what if the father... what if the father is Dirk?"
Bobby
"Then... he won't actually have one."
Bobby sighed and held her hand.
"Julie, I don't care if this kid isn't mine... if you need my help, I'll be there. I'll be a father, I don't care."
Julie
Julie stared at him for a moment, sniffed and then burst into tears.
"Th-thank you Bob-by."
Bobby
"Aw, Julie."
Bobby rubbed her shoulder gently.
"It's ok, it'll be ok."
Julie
Julie just kept crying.
Man, this could not be happening. She was pregnant, the father could be freaking anyone, including the guy who freaking raped her and Bobby was being so wonderful about it.
She leant over and buried her face in his shoulder.
Bobby
"Shh, it's ok, it is, really."
Bobby kissed her head.
"I'd do more but... I'm all broken and I have to lie down. Listen, you'll make it, I promise."
Julie
Julie managed a giggle through her tears.
"I love you Bobby," she said.
She wished she could take the words back the moment she said them.
Bobby
"I know, Rogue told me. But it is nice to hear it from you."
Bobby kissed her hand.
"I love you too, so don't worry, you didn't take a risk by saying it. I was contemplating leaving you clueless about how I felt, but I decided not to. Because I'm nice. And hot. And look at me. Wanna see my penis? I mean, broken pelvis. Yeah... that's what I meant."
Julie
Julie laughed.
"I've seen it before," she said. "But I could take another look."
She gave him a wink, then paused.
"Rogue told you?"
Bobby
"Yeah, she told me when you first... you know, went to sleep."
Bobby grinned.
"She was probably trying to get into my pants."
Julie
"Rogue try to get into your pants? I find it hard to believe she'd -" Julie paused, "Hang on... you said before something about her sleeping with Gambit?"
Bobby
"Ok, she didn't try."
Bobby pouted.
"But why not? I'm way hotter than Gambit."
Julie
"Oh, there's no denying that," Julie nodded. "You so much hotter than Gambit you're cool."
She chuckled at her lame joke as she slipped her hand down south.
"But no, seriously, Rogue actually slept with someone? Okay, major shock to the system here."
Bobby
"Yeah, she um... you were in her head at the time."
Bobby moaned softly.
"If you wanna get technical, we could say that you slept with Gambit, because after all, what is a body without a mind?"
Julie
"Oh my gosh!" Julie gaped. "Okay I should just stop asking questions. First I'm pregnant, and you love me, and Rogue actually slept with someone, because I was in her head..."
She shook her head.
"Nope, I'm going to contentrate solely on umm... more.... stimulating things."
Bobby
"Hey, that works for me."
Bobby grinned.
"Oh and... please don't take your hand out of my pants but I killed Dirk."
Ok, there, he had said it.
Julie
Julie looked up at him.
"You killed him," she repeated.
She considered it for a moment, then she kissed him softly. And she didn't take her hand out of his pants.
Bobby
Bobby kissed her back, moaning softly.
"Yeah, well, I would've killed him earlier if I new I was going to get this reaction."
Julie
Julie chuckled a little.
"It's more that... I... you... well, they say actions speak louder than words... And speaking of actions."
She rubbed him a little harder, playing with his ring.
Bobby
"Never... did like... words..."
Bobby panted slightly.
Julie
"Mmm me neither."
Julie kissed him passionately.
Bobby
Bobby kissed her back, trying not to move his hip.
He was going to break it again.
And then stay longer in traction.
No, wait, can't do that!
Julie
Julie felt him stiffen beneath her. In both meanings of the word. She pulled her lips away.
"Something wrong?"
Bobby
"Just... don't want to break my hip again."
Bobby reached up and pulled her mouth back down to his.
Julie
Okay nothing too strenuous.
Damn.
Julie happily went back to what she was doing, okay who she was doing. But this time trying to becareful not to cause Bobby any damage. Well, none that wouldn't wash off.
Bobby
Bobby bit his lip as he came.
"Well, that was nice. Better than."
Julie
"Mmm, good to know," Julie smiled.
She did some cleaning up, then snuggled next to him.
"Cartoons?"
Bobby
Bobby lifted the remote and switched the TV on.
"Yay! Smurf marathon!"
Julie
Julie giggled.
"Yay indeedy," she agreed.
And they settled down to watch.
